"What...what do you mean she got shot twice?" I whispered. The female doctor tried to smile comfortingly at me, but my horrified expression prevented her from doing so.

"Once in the shoulder, once in the leg. She got shot in the leg when she was running with you...but her tumor, the one in her brain, prevented her from feeling anything until she was shot the second time." She explained.

I blinked. "You mean to tell me that her tumor allowed her to get shot, in the leg, might I add, and still run like a damn super human?" I asked.

The male doctor looked taken aback. "Well, when you put it that way, you make the tumor sound like a good thing."

"Sometimes it could be." I muttered.

I widened my eyes, not sure what had just come out of my mouth. "A tumor is never a good thing." The male doctor told me.

"I know. I'm sorry." I muttered. "That was stupid."

"Isaac, you should lie down." The girl said. I shook my head and attempted to get out of the hospital bed. "I need to see Cecilia." I said, trying to ignore the searing pain in my back.

The male doctor tried to push me down but I shrugged him off. "You can't get out of bed, Isaac!" He shouted at me as I got shakily to my feet. I took a deep breath and ran (as fast as I could) away from the doctors and out of the curtains.

"Isaac!" The women called after me. I ignored her and kept running, out of the room and into the hallway.

"Cecilia!" I yelled, running down the hall and bumping into people. With every step I took, my back seemed to catch on fire. The fire kept getting hotter.

Someone ran into me from behind. The pain was so horrible I couldn't even scream. I collapsed but I still tried to drag myself along with my hands.

I knew it was no use. Someone grabbed my legs and started to pull me back toward my room.

My vision was going dark. The pain in my back seemed to be eating away at me, tearing me apart and turning my blood to liquid fire, coursing through me and destroying me.

"Cecilia, please..." I whispered as the light slipped away from me. "Where...are...you...?"
