Okay,so found this amazing article and picture in Facebook some days ago,and it's really shocking!!!! Never heard of this theory before, but I think that this one is really relevant! OK,so straight to the article!

Has anyone ever really gotten a good look at H.C. Strider, the Tallahatchie County Sheriff who presided over the corrupt investigation of Emmett Till's murder? If you haven't, check this out! I immediately thought of The Mayor from Ghosts! Everyone assumes that Michael based this character on Tom Sneddon, but the physical resemblance is much closer to H.C. Strider! Is it possible that Michael had Strider in mind as well as Tom Sneddon? It definitely seems plausible that this story of a corrupt, racist white sheriff who enabled one of America's darkest and ugliest cases of injustice could have had an influence on the storyline of Ghosts!"
