Epilogue Part Two
He pushed his dark red hair out of his face as he mopped the floor. While being clean really wasn't that big of a deal to him, there was always a point when it got to be too much. Too little blood would deprive the atmosphere of the overwhelming feeling of death everywhere, but too much blood would make it seem almost fake. Even five years into his game, he was still trying to find a perfect balance.
Oh yeah, and he also needed to figure out how to dispose of the bodies. His usual spot to bury and/or burn the bodies was becoming a little too crowded. He sighed and added that to his mental list of chores before continuing to whistle as he began to mop the next room. He was about to finish in there as well when he heard a door slam. Immediately, he dropped his mop, pulled out his gun, and began to creep towards where he heard the door. When he arrived, though, he was greeted with a piece of paper held to the door by a small knife. He looked around suspiciously before grabbing the paper and reading. The words were spelled out by various cut-out letters, in the style of a ransom note.
MEET AT ERIC'S COFFEE IN FIVE
He furrowed his brow, confused, but didn't hesitate to go throw on an outfit not stained by blood. He settled for a black jacket and jeans along with colored contacts and a beanie before heading out to go meet the mystery person for coffee.
The shop was rather busy, but he was immediately able to lock eyes with a young, auburn-haired woman. She grinned and gestured for him to come sit with her and an older man in a suit.
"What's this about?" he asked.
The man cleared his throat and began to speak. "Mr. Spencer Ham, your father has been pronounced dead. And seeing as you were next in line to inherit a large amount of land as well as quite a lot of wealth, I wanted to inform you that your family's hotel is now yours. I couldn't seem to track you down, so your lovely sister Diana here offered to help me. The will has been reviewed by the court, so I am pleased to inform you that everything is now yours, Mr. Ham."
He took a minute to process what he just heard.
"Wow."
The man chuckled. "Indeed. Well, I shall be off. Thank you for your time, Mr. Ham."
After the man left, 'Diana' grabbed 'Spencer''s arm and led him out the door.
"Where are we going?" he asked.
"To your hotel, b*tch."
"Right now? I don't know if I'm mentally prepared to do that."
"Are you f*ckin' serious, Red? Now come on, I'm driving you there, like it or not."
"I hate you. I'm so glad you're not actually my sister."
"Well, we're cousins, so you better deal with it." She shoved him into the passenger seat of her car.
"Donna, I've said it before and I'll say it again. You suck."
"Stop acting like a child," she teased, turning the car on and shifting out of park. "We haven't been to that d*mn hotel in forever, it'll be exciting."
"I'm guessing the first thing you're gonna want to do is play Othello or whatever."
"Oh, f*ck off."
Donna took one hand off the steering wheel as she removed the green colored contacts from her eyes, revealing her black eyes and orange pupils. She pushed her long, fluffy hair back so her pointed ears and small orange horns could be proudly displayed as well.
"The real question is, what do you plan on doing now that you have the hotel?" she asked.
Red glanced over at her and gave her a sly grin.
"I think I've got an idea."
(620 words, but then again the entire epilogue is like 1300 sooo)
AND THAT'S IT, GUYS, GALS AND NON-BINARY PALS! WE'RE FINISHED!
