"Come on Eddy we're going to be late."

"Just give me two minutes Ken she won't be there for another fifteen minutes and it only takes five to get to the party."

"Your mum is outside we need to go."

Ken sighs carrying the gifts out to Eddy's mother's car.

"Hello Mrs. H."

"Hello dear are you excited for the party?"

"I am Eddy will be down in a few minutes I think he's still getting ready."

"He's going to be late to his own funeral with the way he goes."

"Tell me about it he probably wouldn't make it to a lot of things on time without me prompting him."

Ken grins sitting in the passenger seat they wait for Eddy who comes out locking the door.

"Hey why do I sit in the back?"

"Because I was out here first."

Eddy pouts sliding into the backseat after kissing his mum's cheek.

"I can't believe you're picking him over your own child."

"You know the rules Eddy first out gets the seat now hush and buckle up."

Pulling out of the driveway they make their way to the restaurant that Molly's birthday party is going to be held.

"Who has her distracted?"

"Dad took her out to see nan and granddad for a few hours. They're planning on bringing her to the restaurant for a simple dinner she thinks Eddy and I are still out of town."

"This is going to be great she'll be so surprised."

Eddy smiles as they pull into the parking lot taking everything into the back room. Family and friends are putting the last of the decorations up making sure everything is perfect. Ken slides up to Eddy wrapping his arm around his waist and kissing his temple.

"She's going to love this Ken I'm so proud of you and how hard you've worked on getting this all set up."

"Thank you baby I hope she does I felt terrible telling her that we wouldn't make it back in time for her birthday. She tried to pretend it didn't upset her I know she wanted us to enjoy our getaway."

"Well she'll be presently surprised we had a wonderful time and came back early."

"You're not upset we came back two days early?"

"Of course not this is a important day and I love your mum I know how special it is to have you here."

"I love you so much."

"I love you too."

"Alright places everyone I got a text they just pulled into the parking lot."

Crissy smiles the lights get dimmed a bit as they all hide behind tables.

"Watch your step darling they haven't turned the light on yet."

They remain silent waiting for the door to close before flicking the light on and jumping out.

"Surprise Happy Birthday Molly!"

Ken stays hidden with Eddy while he waits for everyone to greet her."

"Thank you everyone this is wonderful."

Molly smiles hugging her family and friends, peeking around the table cloth Ken squeezes Eddy's hand before they jump up.

"Surprise!"

"Ken, Eddy!"

Hugging her tightly both guys laugh as she tries to keep her tears at bay.

"I can't believe you're actually here I thought you would be gone still."

"Well it was Ken's idea to put this whole thing together with the help of everyone we managed to pull it off."

"Thank you all so much for this."

She grins hugging Ken tightly as everyone beings chatting.

"I can't believe you did this all for me."

"I wanted today to be special for you mum you deserve it you always do so much for me. This is just one little way to say thank you. Happy birthday mum I love you so much."

"I love you too darling thank you."
