Our car ride was almost complete silence besides the quick How have you been, anything new kind of talk. It's like Jason put up a wall since we've left. I was determined to break through though in a subtle way.

"You know I remember in high school you telling me about wanting to ride in a Porsche," he said breaking the silence.

"You did?"

"Yes of course Lee, I could never forget anything you say I was mesmerized by you, and that's why I brought it to show I still care," he said not taking his eyes off the road for a second.

" Yeah you were mesmerized" I whispered to myself. He probably wasn't anymore even though I wanted him to be.

"What Lee?"

"I said you were always so sweet you know" I lied.

"Lee you thought I cheated on you with Avery Smith at the Chace Beckett's party because she was drunk and kissed me. Eric Knight posted the picture and you believed it not asking me about it one bit. You said you trusted me but you didn't show that you did. I know we had different goals for our lives but we could have worked through that" Instead we used it as an excuse as to why we didn't work out and I'm sorry I put myself in a compromising position and I am glad we left things on good terms after school but I can't lie to myself and say I don't feel anything when I'm around you." He spilled out of breath when he finished.

I looked shocked. I can't believe he said what he did. He said he wanted to get back together, right?

"You don't have to say anything or decide now. But, just think about it. Do you not feel anything at all toward me still?"

."I... I d-don't know" I stuttered because I wasn't just going to jump back into this relationship. If I was to do this with him we'd go extremely slow because I wasn't going to date ever again unless I was sure I could see myself marrying them. I was to the age where I was ready to settle down.

"You don't have to answer now, just think about it, please. I'm not going to beg you to come back to me if it's not something you want because I want you to be happy. You deserve to be happy and if I am not the man who makes you happy or you don't want me that's ok, I just can't live the rest of my life knowing what if" he finished.

" Now let's go enjoy the rest of the evening and have some fun."

I nodded and he helped me out of the Porsche as we pulled up to The Pier.

I followed Jason into the waiting area of The Pier. There was one other couple in front of us in line then it was our turn. When we approached the hostess Jason said "Reservation for two under McCartney"

"Follow me please," the hostess said directing us to our table. The table that Jason reserved was in the back of the restaurant in a secluded area.

"Paige will be your waitress tonight to get you started with drinks in a moment. Please make yourselves comfortable" the hostess said once arrived at our table.

"Thank you" Jason and I said and he pulled out the chair for me.

A few minutes later a tall blonde girl came to our table. She was very pretty in her early twenties I'd say. She had big beautiful brown eyes and a dazzling smile.

"Hello, my name is Paige and I'll be your waitress tonight. Can I get you started with drinks and an appetizer?" Paige said looking at Jason smiling.

"I will do a bottle of Cabernet and calamari," Jason said, he looked up at me for approval. I nodded. He knew what I liked. What can I say?

"Ok, sir, I will go get that in for you," Paige said biting her lip, leaving us at our table alone once more making sure when she turned around her skirt flopped up a little showing extra skin. There was a few minutes of silence. When I decided to speak.

"You know I'm not just going to jump back into things with you," I said. " It's been over five years J, you could be a whole different person, and if I decide to get back with you I want to be for sure for sure. No messing with feelings."

"Lee, that's what I want you to see. I am a different person. I've finally figured out what's important to me. I've got my ducks in a row and I truly appreciate the fact you don't want to mess with my feelings. I also understand you wanna go slow, like we did before and I want to do the same. I want to fall in love with you again and I am willing to do whatever it takes for you to see I am a changed for better man that is still head over heels in love with you Annalee. I am not asking for your definite answer right now just keep all this in mind" he said.

He wasn't joking when he said that earlier he was serious. He wants me back. Annalee Hunter has a boy chasing her. Never in a million years would I have thought of even getting back with Jason.

He grabbed my hand and held it on the table when the waitress brought us our wine. Jason squeezed my hand. She opened the bottle and poured us our wine ogling Jason the whole time."Are you guys ready to order?" She asked looking at Jason but trying to make it sound like she was talking to both of us.

I had barely any time to look at the menu so I just ordered something I knew they had."I'll do the Chicken Breast, mashed potatoes, and asparagus" I broke in. "My boyfriend will have the steak medium rare with Peir fries and asparagus." I was annoyed she was interrupting our date. I also grabbed his hand once more from across the table.

Jason looked shocked, then he grinned and sat back in his chair a little. Paige, our waitress looked annoyed and just said she'd put our order in. Once she walked away Jason put both elbows on the table and leaned in toward me. I released his hand.

"Jealous much?" He asked. "And I'm all of a sudden your boyfriend? Isn't that something I have to agree on first?"

"Shut up J, I was saving you from that chick she was ogling you and flirting with you from the moment she saw you."

"Is that so Lee Lee? Well in that case feel free to call me your boyfriend anytime" he said with a twinkle in his eye. I shook my head in disbelief.
