(PRESENT TIME a week later)

I shuffled around looking for something to wear to my date with Jason tonight. Which by the way I had forgotten about until Raina asked what I would be wearing for it about an hour ago.It was 5 pm and Jason would be picking me up in about two hours. I had my hair and makeup left to do and still find a cute outfit.

After about a half hour of searching, I decided on two outfits that were nice enough to wear and made Raina decide which was "The One."

The first outfit was a solid baby blue sheath dress that reached just above my knees, I chose nude heels, and some gold-toned jewelry to wear with it. I put it all on and went into the living room to give Raina the fashion show.

"So here's outfit one," I said, smiling because I loved this dress. I wore it to my job interview for the radio station three years ago and I got the job so I had good luck with it.

"Oooh, the radio station dress, I love it Lee, but it screams job interview" She smiled softly trying not to offend me. "Sorry."

"No, don't be sorry, I want your honest opinion that's why I asked" I laughed.

"What's the next outfit?" She asked.

"Hold on, I'll go and change quickly" I answered.

On that note, I went back to my room and changed out of this outfit and into my second outfit. This was a white sundress with small daisies at the bottom. The dress reached a few inches above my knees but was still modest. I paired this dress with a pair of sandals that had a three-inch wedge heel to them and the same gold jewelry that I wore with the last dress.I looked at myself in the mirror before I went to see what Raina had to say.

"Perfect," I said to myself. I looked good, and I felt confident. This dress showed off my best features, yet was still modest. I liked that.

I walked once more back into the living room where Raina was waiting.

"Option two?" I asked with a questioning tone.

"Oh my goodness... Lee Lee you look stunning, this is totally the dress for tonight. It's dressy enough but it's not job interview-y, it shows off your tan well and your curves. I love it!!!" She smiled excitedly and squealed!

"Yay!!! I thought it was perfect too, I should have tried that one on first, it would have saved a butt-load of time." I laughed looking at my watch. The time was 6:15 pm I only had 45 minutes to get my hair and makeup done. "I have to do hair and makeup, I'm gonna leave my hair in loose curls but tidy them up a bit and I have no idea for makeup. Any help?" I asked Raina.

"Light and airy, go for a natural look but highlight, your eyes, they're your best feature." She said not even looking up from her phone. Raina had always been good with makeup, her strawberry blonde hair and gray eyes, so makeup too was super important, because she always wanted to make her best features shine which was her hair and eyes.

"Thank you Rains, you're a lifesaver," I said running toward my bathroom.

I briefly curled my hair just to make it all equally curled and proceeded onto makeup. I started with a basic foundation and blended it extremely well, then I used light pinky tones for my eyes and black eyeliner, next, I added mascara and a light pink lip gloss. My makeup looked well done and more natural. I put on my earrings and grabbed my phone and purse when I heard a knock on my door.

"Can you get that Raina?" I called.

"I'm on it" she responded.

I tried to listen in while she answered the door.

"Hey, you must be Jason, I've heard so much about you," She said answering the door."That would be me" He chuckled, "You're Raina, right? Lee's roomie?" He asked.

"Yep that's me" She laughed. "Come on in, Lee will be out in a minute."

"Perfect thank you," He responded.

I decided it was time for me to come out, I was sitting on my bed. I took a deep breath and walked out to the living room where Jason would be waiting.

"Hey J, you made it, and I see you've met Raina, my roommate," I said. Then I stopped and thought "Well no crap he made it" I am so dumb I'm soooo going to mess this up. He stood up and came toward me.

"Yeah, I did, but, woah, Lee you look stunning" He sucked in a breath. I blushed, oh great."Thank you, you look nice too ya know." I chuckled.

"Thanks, well are you ready?" He asked touching his forehead.

"Yep, whenever you are" I answered.

"After you then, my lady" He smiled, he used to do that all the time when we were dating back in high school.

"Bye Rains, don't wait up for me" I instructed.

"No worries, have fun Lee" Raina called turning her back to go back to her room.

I walked toward to door with Jason in tow, he opened the door for me and I thanked him. Then we went to the elevator and pushed to go down to ground level.

He pulled out his keys and walked toward the exit opening that door for me as well, I thanked him once more.

He clicked his keys and I noticed he wasn't driving his truck as he had the last time we met.

"New car?" I asked.

"Well I have had it for a while, but I thought we should ride in style tonight so I brought my Porsche." He answered casually.

"Super cool, I always have wanted to ride in a Porsche" I answered.

He ignored my question and opened the passenger door to his blue Porsche for me.I thanked him again yet no response for the door openings for tonight when I thanked him. What's up with him? I wondered if maybe I was doing something wrong.
