Jason pulled out of my driveway and we headed toward the school so we wouldn't be late for the reunion.

After all this time it was really good to see and talk with Jason. We still got along quite well and had a lot in common.

About five minutes later Jason pulled his truck into a parking spot close to the door. We both got out of the truck and walked toward the door silently. It was an awkward silence but it was okay- better than saying something I'd regret.

We approached the doors to the school and Jason opened the door for me.

"After you," He said with a slight grin, I noticed his features were more distinct now, his shoulders became wider, he had stubble from shaving and he looked all around grown up, but dang he was still hot. "No, I shouldn't be thinking that" I scolded myself.

"Thank you," I replied to Jason and walked into the familiar school where I had graduated five years previous. The memories came back to me as soon as I walked in too, the Homecomings, proms, basketball games, and more.

Once we were inside Alan Weiss, our class president from when we were seniors greeted us."Hey well if it isn't the McGregor's, I didn't know you guys were still together," Alan said.I blushed, "We aren't together Alan, Jason just offered me a ride because my car had a flat tire." I said.

"Oh, I'm sorry, well if you guys can follow me to your table I can get you settled in." He said."It's no problem and yes that would be great, thank you, Al." Jason said shaking his hand. "it's good to see you too, how's your little boy?"

"He's doing well, Alex is almost 2 now and Misty and I are expecting baby number two in 4 months," Alan said referring to his high school sweetheart Misty Dawson.

"Congrats, Al that's great, I love kids someday I hope to have some of my own," I mentioned. "Is Misty going to be here tonight?" I asked

"Someday I'd like to have some kids too," Jason mentioned. I looked shocked because 18-year-old Jason wouldn't be caught dead holding a baby.

"I'm sure someday, Lee, you'll have some, you would be a great mother. J since when do you want kids." He laughed.

"Since I realized it was worth compromising over kids to not lose the one you love." He shrugged. Was he talking about me? No, there was no way, it's been over five years.

"Misty will be here soon, she's dropping Alex off at her parents." He said, gesturing that we follow him to our seats. Jason and I both nodded.

"I hope you don't mind but at your table are You, Jason, Naomi Webster, Amber Aljets, Zach Bryan, and Collin Peters," Al said.

"Perfect," I said sitting down in the seat with my name on it. Jason just nodded.

"So you want kids." I hinted at him.

"Yeah, my sister and her husband had a baby last fall and I realized I wanted to be a father." He said.

"J you'd be a great father, I just know it." I smiled softly at him, playing with my hands.

His smile widened "You think so?" He asked.

"Of course, I know so" I responded chuckling.

"Thanks, Lee, that means the world" He answered.

Then I grabbed my phone and checked my messages and a few minutes later the rest of our table arrived.

I hugged each of them. Naomi looked as good as ever, she now has blonde hair and slimmed down a bit since High school. Amber, looks the same besides the fact she is pregnant, Zach gained a few pounds but still looked great, and Collin was just Collin, athletic, muscular, baseball playing Collin,  I observed thinking about what they looked like back in high school.

"Amber! congratulations! How far along are you?" I asked. Amber and I were close back in high school but we drifted apart after high school.

"Thank you!!! I'm due in two months." She stated smiling. "Kyle and I are so excited."

"Oh wow! Is it a girl or a boy?" I asked.

"We are keeping it a surprise." She said.

"That's exciting!" I said. She nodded.

"So Jason are you and Annalee back together then? I saw you guys pull up together." She asked."No we aren't together, Lee's car had a flat tire and I was driving by and offered her a ride so we wouldn't be late." He answered looking at me.

"Oh, dang it, you guys were a real power couple back in the day ya know," Amber answered."Yeah, you guys were." Collin and Zach agreed.

"What's keeping you guys busy lately?" I asked our table to get the topic away from Jason and me being together.

"I've been busy with work lately, I became a dental hygienist and it's been going well," Naomi answered.

"I'm trucking with my dad and recently bought him out, now It's ZB Trucking instead of ZNB Trucking," Zach stated.

"I still have my baseball contract going for the Chicago Cubs, and I'm recently engaged," Collin said smiling.

"I work from home for a Web Design company and am preparing for this one," Amber said caressing her stomach with the brightest smile on her face.

"I just graduated from Harvard Law in the spring and am working at Deering Law Firm," Jason answered.

"Oh wow, you guys have been busy! You guys have been super successful!!!" I said smiling."Lately I've been working on my radio show: What About Life," I answered.

"Wait that's your show?" Zach asked. Nobody knew it was my show because I only said I was Lee on air and didn't use my full name. My producer says I should start using a stage name or my full name and I just haven't come up with what I want to use yet.

"Yep has been for almost three years now," I confirmed.

"My girlfriend and I listen to you every Tuesday, do you think she could meet you, she's a huge fan." He asked.

"Of course, Zach!" I answered.

The rest of the reunion consisted of us all talking and table hopping to catch up with everyone. It was so nice to see everyone again.
