The Start of the Cases
*slight static sounds before becoming still*
Hello?
*Clearing of throat*
I'm recording this as a diary I guess, my therapist told me that this would help... God who am I even talking to? I'm hopeless... I'll try this I guess, I hope it helps.
I...I still can't get over what had happened, it's all just so crazy. Of course I'd expected it to be slightly chaotic since I worked in a mental asylum. But really, the patients are one of a kind in a bad way. I guess that's why it's dubbed "the most psychotic mental Asylum in America".
The therapist told me that I should start by introducing myself, so here it is. I'm actually a Chinese girl who had come to America for job opportunities, I ended up working in that mental asylum through the introduction of a friend. Sh...she was a psychologist.
I was quite content you know, I've heard that jobs are incredibly hard to get in America and that people had prejudice towards people who weren't white. But when I came people were really friendly and polite, they were very open too and very curious about other cultures. I had a really good time meeting new friends from all around the world.
The only part was that they couldn't get my name right *slight chuckles* you see, my name is yu and "u" in Chinese is like how you would pronounce it in French as my French friend who was the only one who could get it right told me.
But my nightmare started when I was transferred to deal with the more dangerous patient's area, I guess that's where the prejudice showed *sighing*. I've only worked there for a year and usually only people with two years or more experiences were sent there. I guess they ran out of people.
The pay was better of course, but later I discovered that I was under payed when my friend who worked with me told me how this job was so worth it.
I guess I'll start talking about all my patients. Some of their stories were plain sad, but some of the other ones are truly really dark...
--end of first recording--
