No matter which way you put it, it was meant to go together

They were meant to be together

But they weren't

As much as they wanted to be with each other

Hold each others hands

Cuddle up together in bed

Kiss each other every day

They couldn't

It wasn't safe

Being together wasn't safe for either of them, or their friends

So they lived a torturous life as just friends

Even if they dreamed of being more than that

Soon they found themselves with boyfriends, yet still longing for each other

But still, they could not have each other

Everytime they saw each other, their hearts would tighten

But seeing each other with their boyfriends, made their hearts loosen

The same thought clouded both of their minds

What if she really falls for him?

What if we can never be together?

What happens then?

Time passed, and still, Beverly and y/n was forced to remain as friends

But now, they weren't afraid of anything

Who cared if they were together

Why was it such a big deal to have a same-sex couple

They became more confident with their love towards each other

Their boyfriends noticed, and immediately broke up with them

Neither of them were sad

They had dated the two girls to see if they could get their minds off of each other

But it hadn't worked

Not that anyone minded in the end

Y/n's boyfriend actually turned out to be gay himself, for his best friend

Beverly and y/n spent more time together, and one thing lead to another

And that's where their friends found them, making out at the quarry

They were happy for their friends

Happy that they could finally be with each other

And happy that they didn't have to hide their feelings for each other

Y/n and Beverly were happy

And that's all that mattered
