Kaeya's eyes blink open.
Last night was chaotic. Abyss mages attacked them, Kaeya somehow fought like he had when he was an adult which should happen since he was mentally and physically a child, then Kaeya got burned and the two brothers had a heartfelt moment.
It all went so fast.
Kaeya pushes on the bed which tugs on one of the bandages on his upper arm.
"Ow." In pain Kaeya closes his eyes and looks down.
"Ow!" Kaeya says, trusting his head back. His head hits the wooden headboard of the bed.
"Ow..."
Kaeya looks around. He is not in his bedroom.
It was much bigger than the one he spelt with Noelle in. The bed was different. It had pillars on each side of the bed. The room was colored red. Red curtains in the window, a red rug, and red comforter.
Diluc removes his hand from behind Kaeya's head, shaking it lightly. "Would you shut up? Some of us are trying to still sleep."
Now he knew where he was. Last night Kaeya made his brother let him sleep with him. A smile creeps on Kaeya's face.

Diluc, Kaeya and Noelle sit at the dining table eating their breakfast.
"How are your injuries?" Noelle asks.
"They hurt but I can deal with it. If I'm going to be a knight I have to do at least that much." Diluc rolls his eyes at the comment.
Noelle glares at the winery owner. "Well, I think that's nice."
One of the maids, Moco, walks to the head of the table and presents an envelope. "Here's the letter you wanted me to hold for you Master Diluc."
The two knights raise their eyebrows.
Diluc takes the letter nodding for Moco to leave and slides it over to Kaeya. "It's for you. I got it yesterday on my trip to Angel's Share from a peculiar, little girl."
"Ella!" Kaeya says, tearing open the envelope.
'Dear Kaeya,
This is Ella Musk. I told you that I would write everyday and I will. I don't really know what to write to a Pen Pal.
Well, I guess I can start with saying that I'm going over to Dawn Winery tomorrow. My dad agreed to take me. While I'm there I'm planning to go talk to the hilichurls. I can even teach you if you want!
Oh, I think I see Diluc. Talk to you again when I see you tomorrow!
With love,
Ella Musk'
Kaeya puts down the letter.
"What does it say?" Noelle asks.
"Ella's coming here today," Kaeya says. "She wants to go talk to hilichurls with me."
"Hilichurls?" Diluc says making eye contact with his younger brother. "Can people even talk to those beasts?"
"I think I heard about Jacob Musk talking about communicating to hilichurls but I didn't know he succeeded. But shouldn't you be resting?" Noelle adds. "You have 2nd degree burns."
"I'll be fine," Kaeya says, moving his hand in a 'I got this' motion.
"Fine, but you have to put on a shirt. I'm not letting you go outside with one," Noelle demands.
As they finish breakfast, Kaeya and the secondary maids are sent up stairs to change the young master.
"Do I really have to wear this?" Kaeya asks as he looks at himself in the mirror. "I look silly."
Kaeya stands in Noelle's room with Hiile and Moco behind him. He wears a white, long, loose nightgown. The sleeping appeal had puffy long sleeves which came into the hard cuffs. The gown part of the nightshirt went all the way down to his shins. On the caller part as a string that would help someone slip into the nightshirt and keep it coded so they didn't slip out of the nightshirt.
His nightshirt.
The maids try to stifle their laughter but it reaches Kaeya ears and the little master shot a glare at them.
"Shut it."
The door which was ajar opens revealing Adelinde with bandages. "Yes, stop your cackling. I told you to change Master Kaeya without getting any blood or ooze on his nightshirt. I didn't tell you to laugh at him."
"Sorry, Adelinde..." the maids hang their heads in shame.
She tisks. "Look, you not only angered Master Kaeya but didn't even do your job."
She looks at the white nightshirt, now stained with blood and pus.
"I guess it's my fault for not changing his bandages until now," the head maids says. "I'm sorry for failing at my duty."
"Oh, don't be sorry."
"Yeah, it's our fault. We should have done our duty."
"It's not your fault."
"Oh, thank you girls," Adelinde says with a splash of blush on her cheeks.
The last remaining maid comes in. "Sorry to interrupt but Ella and her father are here right now."
"Okay, you two quickly wash the nightshirt while I remove and re-bandage Master Kaeya," the head maid instructs.
"Okay." Hillie And Moco do a two finger salute and scamper away with the soiled nightgown.
Adelinde gently but quickly removes Kaeya's bandages. She cleans the opened wounds and blisters. After finishing with the task she rebanagdes with non-stick bandages.
Kaeya walks down the stairs wearing fresh bandages, a clean, white nightshirt, and his normal attire minus the shirt.
Even Diluc cannot help but chuckle at the sight.
"What are you wearing!?" Ella bursts out laughing. She laughs so hard that her hand clutches her stomach.
"Shut it..." Kaeya mumbles, his mouth a painfully thin line and his cheeks red.
"Ella Musk!" The man beside the little girl scolds. "It is very rude to laugh at your friends, and that goes with anyone for that matter."
"Sorry Dad..." Ella apologises, her head now looking at her shoes.
"I'm not the one who should be apologizing to."
Ella looks up and at Keeya who is now in front of the father and daughter. "I'm sorry for laughing at your outfit even it does looks silly-"
"Ella..." he says in a warning tone.
"No Dad, don't stop me. And I promise not to laugh at you or your outfit for the entire day we spend with each other."
"I forgive you," Kaeya calmly says. "And I agree with you, my outfit does looks silly but it's my fault for getting hurt."
"You got hurt? Where?" Ella gets closer and is about to touch Kaeya's shoulders but Noelle and Diluc dash forward and put a hand both in front of Kaeya.
"I wouldn't advise doing that," Diluc says.
"Kaeya recently got 2nd degree burns," Noelle explains.
Ella jumps back. "I'm sorry I didn't know. Please forgive me Kaeya!"
"I already forgave you," Kaeya says now unblocked from the two adults. "Besides, it's not like you actually hurt me."
"Sorry for breaking up this thing, but is he well enough to play?" Mr. Musk asks.
"He should be well enough to go play with Ella," Adelinde answers. "He just has to be carefully not to get dirty, not to get the burned skin to touch anything, and overall not get hurt." She looks at Ella. "You're not going to do anything dangerous, are you?"
"No Ma'am." Ella shakes her head vigorously.
"Well, if that's the case then Kaeya should be okay. I assume that you will watch over the children?" The head maid aka Mr. Musk.
"Yes." And with that Kaeya, Ella, and Mr. Musk go in the cart the duo came from and set off for a hilichurl camp.

Hey Seedlings question: has anyone ever researched Ella Musk?
Her backstory is interesting. Didn't know a non playable character could have such an interesting backstory especially since she is supposed to be a child.
I don't know enough to add prices of her backstory but it's interesting. Write in the comments if any of you know about her or her family.
