So here I was. Standing right in front of me was my dorm building. It had 7 floors in total. The first and second were ours, Armada's. My dorm was on the 2nd floor. I had already put all my stuff in there when I came here last time, but I still had to arrange and organize it. I wanted to know who my roommate was, but sadly they hadn't come then.

"What's your dorm, bro?" Nick asked.

"No. 6,"

"You're kidding me, right?"

"Don't tell me!"

"Are you serious?!"

"I can't believe this!"

We chest bumped in excitement, but it was an abject and horrifying failure. Nick tripped over thin air before he could jump, causing his head to hit me in my stomach, which made me lean forward in pain. We both fell to the ground face-first. Well, nick fell on the ground while I fell on him.

"What in the world is wrong with the two of you?!" Willia screamed at us just before bursting into laughter along with all the others.

"We're fine," I grumbled as I shifted in an attempt to get up.

"N-o. We-ar-e. No- not!" Nick gasped, out of breath, "G-et. Off- m-e!".

Realizing that I was still on him, I hurried to get up but slipped and fell on him again.

"OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!" He yelled in agony as he closed his eyes and shoved my knee away from his stomach brutally,

"ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?!" He screamed at me.

"I'm sorry! I tripped! And you're the one who messed up our chest bump!"

"JESUS, I'M DYING HERE! JUST GET OFF ME, FOR HEAVEN"S SAKE!!!"

I slid off him and looked up to see that the others were still laughing at us and that Cleo and Reyna were recording this utterly embarrassing moment on their phones.

Feeling humiliated to the core, I got on my knees and stood up. Then I extended a hand for Nick to grab. He quickly seized it and applied an insane amount of pressure with the sole intention of tormenting me. Two words- It Backfired. The unbelievably large force caught me off guard, and I fell, yet again, for the third time in 2 minutes. This made my squadmates laugh even harder than before.

A bunch of sadists they were!

Their cackles echoed around us as they started hooting and howling, clutching their stomachs, trying to catch their breaths.

I glared at them, biting back my urge to join them. However, after hardly a quarter of a minute, I was chuckling too, and so was Nick. Even though this incident was mortifying and would haunt my dreams five years in the future, I had to admit, it was hilarious.

After recovering from these fits, we resumed our walk to our dorms. We were now on the first floor. There were 3 rooms on this floor and 2 on the 2nd one.

Adam and Jackson walked to room number 3, Yara and Brittney had been assigned room number 4, and Willia and Cleo, number 5.

"I am so excited!" Yara shrieked as she started pulling Brittney towards their room.

"Ugh! I can't believe I have to deal with this for a whole year," Brittney cringed, making the rest of us giggle.

Wait a second...

If Adam, Jackson, Yara, Brittney, Willia, and Cleo are on this floor, then that means that she is my next-door neighbour!

This is going to be a great year!

We started walking upstairs, and I could feel my lips tug into a grin. I was happy that she was going to be right next door from my dorm.

I was mentally dancing when Nick's whining interrupted it.

He was clutching his stomach where my knee had hit him.

"You're an elephant! How in hell are you so heavy even though you're so thin?!" He complained.

"Muscle weighs more than fat, bro," I said as I flaunted my biceps.

He placed his index finger and thumb on either side of it and pinched it so hard that it made me shriek in pain.

"Ow!"

Argenta started giggling at my suffering.

She looks so cute...

"What are you laughing at?" I asked playfully, squinting my eyes at her.

"Nothing," She said as she shrugged, making the most innocent face and still chuckling.

"Oh, nothing, is it?" I said as I started tickling her mercilessly.

Her laughter filled the hall, and I couldn't help but laugh too as I continued my playful assault at her stomach.

"Gosh! Stop it, Lory! I'll kill you!" She shouted in between the hysterics.

Lory...

She just called you Lory... It sounded so good when she said it.

I felt my hands stop the attack and drop to the sides. I could feel my heart doing somersaults in my chest.

This can not be normal, right? You need to see a doctor. You need to stop this Lorcan!

Do something that will make this feeling go away...

And that's when I regained my senses and looked at her. She had caught her breath and was looking at me with murderous yet playful eyes.

Oh, shoot! She was not joking when she said she'd kill you.

Well, at least I lived a happy life.

Goodbye, world!

What?! No, I want to live longer.

I need to RUN!

And so I did. I ran, but the corridor was too short, and Argenta was too fast. She caught up to me and started tickling me ferociously. I was pinned to a wall and had nowhere to run to, and her assault just didn't seem to weaken. I laughed so hard that I was running out of breath. I pleaded and pleaded, but her hands did not stop. After nearly a million attempts to defend my stomach, I retaliated, my attack just as relentless as her, and she was soon roaring with laughter. Her hands clutched her stomach, and the assault on mine had stopped, but I still continued. With a swift movement, I turned us. Now, she was against the wall while I was free.

"Lory! Stop!" She laughed.

Careful with your words, girl. You'll make my heart stop if you keep calling me that.

I stopped tickling her but still stood right where I was, with my hands on her waist while I admired her beauty. She was breathing hard, trying to catch her breath. My eyes stopped to absorb her chocolate orbs. Her eyes were hypnotic. They made me feel like I was drowning, and I didn't want to swim to the shore. They were flooded with different emotions. I could see mischief, innocence, kindness, and so many other things in them. Then her eyes met mine, and I felt my heart stop beating. The whole world tuned out, and I felt like we were the only two people standing there. I was grinning like an idiot, and so was she, and boy, oh boy, did she look fabulous smiling like that.

"Done staring at me?" She smirked sheepishly, looking at her feet, trying to suppress her grin.

Her words made me snap out of my trance, and I realized the intimacy of our position. We were mere centimetres apart. I looked down to see that my hands were still on her waist. My eyes widened, and I felt my cheeks fume due to embarrassment. I jolted back and turned around so she couldn't see the redness of my cheeks, and that's when I saw Nick and Reyna staring at us in amusement with childish smirks plastered on their faces.

At that moment, I wanted the ground to just open up and swallow me whole. This was way too much embarrassment for a day. I looked down in an attempt to avoid their gaze. I walked over to them with Argenta close behind me. She also appeared pretty flustered, and did I mention how adorable it was?

"Let's go to our room, Nick," I said as I dashed to our dorm.

"Sure, Lory," He said, knowingly emphasizing 'Lory' to bug me and followed me inside the dorm.

The dorm was great. There was an entryway that led to the main room that had two single beds on the sides and two desks in the middle. There was a huge window on the front wall. The whole garden in front of our dorm building was visible from there. The two side walls were exposed brick, while all the others were painted white. The floor was made of hardwood. Cardboard boxes were lying all across it because none of us had had the will to unpack our stuff and arrange it.

"Sooo, Lory..." Nick smirked, and I shut my eyes, already embarrassed about what was about to happen.

I expected it, but I still wished that he'd let it go. Yeah, that was just wishful thinking.

"I think you're in love, my boy, " He sang as he did a weird dance, circling me and smirking like the idiot he was.

"I don't love Argenta. I've known her for hardly an hour," I scoffed.

He raised his eyebrow in amusement and started smiling.

"What?" I asked.

"I never said 'Argenta' "

Oh crap!

"I was going to say with this school, but why'd you assume I was talking about her?" He continued with a smirk on his face. Interlacing his fingers, he cracked them as he raised his hands in front of his face.

"This is gonna be so fun..." He simpered.

"Oh, shut up..." I rolled my eyes as I plopped down on my bed.

"Her room is just across this wall, you know," He commented, smirking and pointing to the wall that I was resting my back on.

I picked up the cushion closest to me and threw it at him with all the force that I could muster. It hit him right in the face and made me break into peals of laughter.

"Don't you think you've hurt me enough for a day, Lory..."

It was a quarter to 3 now. Nick and I had arranged almost all of our belongings in our dorm.

"I'm starving. Can we leave now?" Nick grumbled.

"Yeah, let's go," I said as I placed a photo frame of my family on my desk. I paused for a second to admire the photograph and reminisce. We were on the beach. My elder sister Ardene, elder brother William and I were sitting around our sandcastle. William was decorating the castle's walls with shells. Ardene was kissing my very chubby cheek as I filled water in our miniature pool. Mom and dad were standing beside us with ginormous smiles on their faces as they looked down at us.

"Your sister seems really sweet," Nick said.

"She was," I said as I looked at my feet, a sad smile gracing my face.

"Oh, I'm sorry,"

"It's okay. It has been three years now,"

"Are you sure you're fine?"

"Yeah, I am,"

"Well then hurry, my stomach's killing me,"

I smiled at him and nodded.

Grabbing my bag, I started walking towards the door.

Nick was already outside, jogging on the spot.

"Faster, old man!" He shouted as he rolled his eyes.

"I just have to lock the door! Chill!"

We then left for the dining hall, the only problem was, we didn't know exactly where it was. And that was a grave mistake because Gladys is a magnanimous property.

"We have been walking for the past 20 MINS!!" Nick complained.

"I KNOW! I'm not happy either,"

"Oh, look! There's the observatory!"

"What time is it?"

"3:15,"

"Yeah, so we're not going in yet,"

"Okayy," He sighed, "What are we going to ea-Hey, isn't that Reyna and Argenta?" he pointed towards a spot in the garden in front of the observatory.

I squinted my eyes in that direction.

"Yeah, it is them,"

"They're eating something..." He was staring in their direction like a hungry puppy, his mouth was open, and I'm pretty sure that it was watering.

I chuckled at this sight and quickly took out my phone and clicked a picture.

"Let's g-"

He didn't even wait for me to finish and ran towards them. I ran after him shouting at him to reduce his speed, or he'd cause an accident. He did not listen to me but thankfully stopped just before colliding with Argenta and Reyna.

"Oh, hey guys!" Reyna said.

"Hi," Nick said, gaping at the granola bar in her hand.

Reyna did not try to hide how weirded out she was by Nick staring at her food.

"Ignore him. He's just hungry. We couldn't find the dining hall, so..."

"No problem, we have some extra. You can eat these," Argenta said as she offered us some granola bars.

Nicholas snatched 2 from her hands right away, and we all laughed at him.

We sat down with them and ate our bars while they talked about random stuff.

"I am so excited! I hope we get good mentors!" Reyna exclaimed.

"I'm excited about our first assignment," Argenta said.

"Me too," Reyna said.

"Me three," Nick chimed in.

But something was fascinating about the way he said it. His eyes lit up, and he grinned like a lovestruck idiot.

Oh, yes. Now's my time to take revenge. Oh, Nicky boy, you shouldn't have teased me. Now you'll live to regret it. MUAHAHAHAHAHA.

"You alright?" Argenta asked me.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Why did you ask?"

"Because you were snickering and staring into the distance like an evil mastermind. I thought you were going insane..."

"Oh, no. I am just really excited," I said as I looked over at Nick and Reyna, who were laughing in the middle of their conversation.

"I noticed that too," Argenta said.

I turned my head so fast that it was a miracle I didn't get whiplash.

"Noticed what?"

"The way his face lit up. Let's torment them together, what say?" She extended a hand for me to shake.

"Let's do this," I said as I shook it.

"It's 3:29. We should go, now," Reyna said as she stood up, and Nicky boy stood up after her.

We were now standing in an enormous observatory. It was splendid.

Our mentors walked in. They were twins. One was male, the other was female. Both of them had dark brown hair and brown eyes.

"Hello, everyone. My name is Daniel Green,"

"And I'm Lily Green. We'll be your mentors for the next few years."

"Let's start with our first assignment, shall we?"

"Don't we have to introduce ourselves?" Willia asked.

"No, this assignment will introduce you to us," Ms Lily answered.

"You'll all be locked here, and you have to find your way out." Said Mr Daniel.

"That's it?" Nick asked.

For some reason, this made both of our mentors chuckle.

"Yes, that's it," Ms Lily said before they started walking out of the observatory.

"Also, you all have to figure something out before you come out." She added.

"What?" asked Cleo.

"Who are you? But the only twist is that you won't tell us the answer; your squadmates will. Good luck, Armada," She said as she walked out and locked the gate behind her.
