No one pov:
Genya and Muichiro have been talking a lot more. While Muichiro is sick Genya has been helping him heal. Now it has been 3 days since Muichiro has passed out and shinobu said he's finally allowed on a mission again. Except, this time it'll be different.
Muichiro pov:
He had been called on his first mission after what felt like decades. Finally I get to kill demons again! He thought as the blue haired man grabbed his katana and walked out if his house. The mission was not that far away at all. On the way there he seemed to bump into a familiar person heading the same direction. It was Genya Shinazugawa. Genya immediately turned around to find the mist hashira standing there. "Hey" Muichiro said to him "Oh. Hi Tokito-kun" Genya said. Muichiro chuckled. "Why are you being so formal?" Muichiro said hiding his smile from him. Genya shrugged. "Sorry, would you like me to call you Mui?" "Thats better than Tokito-kun." Genya smiled.
After the mission Genya had been extremely worn out. "Why was that such a tiring mission? Was that just me?" Genya said. "It was just you." Muichiro said, completely fine. Muichiro smiled, "You can come over and sleep at my place if you would like. I do get lonely sometimes." "Okay! If your okay with that i don't want to be a burden to you."
When they arrive at Muichiro's house he unlocks the door and him and Genya walk in. "Follow me!" Muichiro said leading him to a bedroom. "Sorry its a bit messy but you can sleep in here. I'll just sleep on the couch or floor or wherever I feel like sleeping." Genya smiled, "Ok mui!"
After about a short 10 minute walk, the two boys arrive at muichiros house. "Woah." Genya said as he looked up in amazement. "What?" Muichiro said as he unlocked and opened the door. "Just get inside."
After they ate, Muichiro set up his bed for genya to sleep on. "You can sleep here." Muichiro said. "This is my room if you need anything just ask me." "Are you sure? You can sleep here if you want." Genya offered, smiling. "No its fine im alright with sleeping on the floor." Muichiro said.
Genya lied down on Muichiros bed and fell asleep.
Muichiro pov:
He had suddenly been woken up after having the same nightmare. Ever since he remember he had gotten the same nightmare every night. He sat up and started crying softly, trying not to wake Genya. Though Genya had woken up about 2 minutes before Muichiro to use the restroom, when Genya came walking back in, he found Muichiro on the floor crying. "Whats a matter?" Genya said as he walked over to Muichiro and hugged him. "Its... I...." Muichiro couldnt get out a single word as he was crying. He just sat there hugging him. Genya picked him up and sat on the bed rubbing his back. "Its ok Mui. Im here for you." He smiled and continued to pat his back. After a little while Muichiro finally calmed down. "It has happened every night..." Muichiro said. "I feel so bad... Like its my fault.... I was too weak to protect him..." Muichiro wiped the tears in his eyes. "Ive had a dream about my brother dying.... Since I remembered what happened.... It haunts me every time I close my eyes... And I see it every time I sleep..." Muichiro started crying more. Genya had kept him in his arm and hugged him. "Its alight Mui,you were little. I understand how you feel. And im here for you. Ill be here as long as you need me to be. You should get some rest and I'll be right here." Genya said setting Muichiro on the bed. He layed down next to the boy and held him in his arms. He had gotten lost in thought again. God hes so pretty I want to kiss him. Wait.... What do I want to do?... Genya shook the thoughts away. "I feel... So terrible.... Its all my fault that I never helped him. I was so weak. He died because of me... If I were stronger he would still be alive." Muichiro said before cuddling up to Genyas chest and crying. This time Genya had a tear fall down his face, finally figuring out what nemi had thought all of those years ago. "I dont understand exactly your thoughts, Mui, but I have an understanding what its like losing someone you love. Its devastating. But im always here Muichiro. Whenever you need me I will always help." Genya said smiling keeping him from crying. "I love you, Genya." Muichiro said subconsciously as he drifted off back to sleep in his chest. Genya kissed his head and wrapped his arms around the shorter one and fell asleep while holding him.
