If someone were to ask Yeonjun or Soobin what's going on between the two of them, they'll probably answer that there's nothing but there definitely is something. The only problem is that, they don't know what that something is.

Not like it's important anyway, things changed and they turn into how they are now.

And how are they doing these days?

One word.

Happier.

After their impulsive trip from Japan, which was more than a week ago, these two found themselves smiling and laughing more and just plainly feeling gladder when around each other. They did not question it, made it seem like there was an unspoken agreement between them that benefits them both.

However, the ones who are starting to question it are the people they encounter when they're apart. They started to get curious about the change in the two males' auras, claiming that both appear to be livelier than they were before.

And one of these people is Soobin's dear brother.

The moment Soobin returned back to work, Seokjin instantly noticed his brother being smiley and cheerful, which was a real shocker since the guy rarely ever smile—especially when there's no reason for him to smile at all. He even greeted back the employees when they welcomed him back, when he never really bother greeting even one employee in return.

Jin thought that Soobin just probably had a good day so he was being jovial, but then it went on for days and he was beginning to get freaked out. To test the waters, Jin being his usual playful self, teased Soobin and joked that the younger should accompany him out for lunch since he was getting tired of the usual meal in their cafeteria. He expected Soobin to give him his usual reply of rejection and wait until the younger pushed him out of his office but to his surprise, Soobin agreed. He even offered to pay for the food, almost giving Seokjin a heart attack.

If he was to be honest with you, Jin even thought that Soobin was perhaps swapped in Japan. And this cheerful guy is actually an imposter.

Not gonna lie, Jin prefers this 'imposter' one.

But kidding aside, since Jin is seriously curious (and creeped out) now, he decided to take matters into his own hands and observed his brother's strange behavior. He made it a personal mission to find out what is happening with Soobin and he won't stop until he knew.

That mission will take action starting right now.

—after sending Namjoon a goodluck message of course, since he's about to deliver a speech in this one campaign.

But anyway, Jin went into Soobin's office, entered the door without even knocking like he's the boss, because he is. And got scared because his brother is sitting there with a hugeass grin on his face? And he's just staring into his phone?

Wait a second, are those the documents he gave Soobin yesterday morning and they look like they haven't been touched yet?

Is Soobin slacking off from his job?

What the fuck is going on? Is the world ending?

With thousands of questions running inside his head, Seokjin put a hand on his forehead dramatically and reached for the water bottle resting on Soobin's table. The action caught the younger's attention, causing him to look up from his phone and got surprised to see his brother standing there looking like he's about to pass out.

"What are you doing here?" Soobin asked as he locked his phone and put it away.

Seokjin finished off drinking and glared at the younger male accusingly, who's clear to have a genuine confusion written on his face, though it's also clear that his eyes have a glimmer that indicates something else other than confusion.

And that something else is what Seokjin wants to know.

"The question here is what is happening with you?"

"Uh, what?" Soobin tilted his head to the side, as if asking for an even precise explanation. It caused Jin to roll his eyes and sat on one of the chairs in front of Soobin's table.

"Why are you smiling like an idiot at your phone? And don't you dare lie and tell me you were taking a selfie, I know you never do that. And are these the files I told you to review yesterday?"

Soobin half-listened and half-ignored his brother, he was too busy peeking at his phone that Jin's interrogation faded into nothingness.

It did not go unnoticed by Jin's sharp vision though, especially now that he's in full detective mode. He squinted his eyes at the male as to inspect the situation.

He stayed silent for a while, watching his younger brother dismissed his presence and went back on his phone. He watched how Soobin's lips occasionally curled upwards when he read something from the screen and how he seems to be forming words inside his head as he tapped down on it, and how he became expectant for the phone to light up each time he'll lock it down.

It was such a sight to see. It made Jin even more curious as to what made his meticulous brother like this even though he already has an idea that it might actually be a 'who'.

"Soobin, the files—"

"Hold on hyung, Yeonjun's telling me something." Soobin replied, not taking his eyes off of his phone, causing Jin's eyebrow to arch up in interest.

"About what?"

"Just the upcoming event he was tasked to hold."

"Oh, so Yeonjun's at work?"

"Yeah, his dad made him go."

"Then why are you talking to him?"

"It's his break."

"And for you, it's not."

That made Soobin to glance up at him with a frown.

Bingo.

"What do you want, hyung?" The younger male sounded annoyed, much to Jin's satisfaction. Making him feel like he just solved the first part of the case he created himself.

Soobin rolled his eyes when Jin didn't give him an answer and stood up from his seat to get out of the office, only to get stopped by the older male with his teasing.

"You're not allowed to leave work when you're not yet done with your task!"

"I'm the founder's son too, I can do what I want!"

And with that, he left Seokjin, who has a satisfied grin on his lips, inside the office alone.

Couple minutes later and Soobin's already at the ground floor, focus still on his phone. He's walking towards the door when someone went up to him with folders in her hand, making him stop to look at her.

"Vice chairman," the girl called out, "I'm afraid you have a scheduled meeting in an hour and these are the papers related to that." She said, handing out the folders to Soobin who only stared at it.

"Cancel it."

"Pardon?"

"Cancel it or get Chairman Kim to do it, I have somewhere important to be."

"But Chairman Kim has other things to take care o—"

"He's free," Soobin told the confuse employee. "You can catch him in my office if you go now."

That's what he said before finally walking out the main door. The staff he was talking to was baffled since he never cancelled nor rejected meetings before but still obeyed anyway. She just thought that maybe, Soobin really does have something more important to be.

On the other hand, Yeonjun was anticipating the time to go faster so he could leave this damned conference already.

They held discussions about the company's sales and ratings and how they went up for the past few months and now they want to arrange new strategies and new projects to make sure the sales won't go down and continue to increase.

To make things simpler, Yeonjun was surrounded by greedy, money sucking bastar—he meant, business people. He was surrounded by business people.

And somehow, along the discussion, one of the managers suggested to get Yeonjun to handle one of their upcoming events and then a few others supported the motion and then suddenly everyone was agreeing.

He even had no idea what they were on about at first since he was too busy minding his own business and that happened to be texting Soobin.

So when they called him to ask if he was accepting it, he just nodded like an idiot because he wasn't paying attention so how would he know that he should have argued?

And yeah, that's basically how Yeonjun ended up having himself doomed.

When the conference meeting was done, Yeonjun was told he could have his break and of course, he wouldn't let the opportunity to leave the company pass. The moment he knew that, he went straight down to the parking lot and drove the fuck out.

As soon as Yeonjun entered the place, his eyes automatically searched for a particular person. Despite the pool of people gathered inside that restaurant, he managed to catch the very much familiar figure of that certain someone, making him walk towards that direction.

"You came." He muttered with a smile, taking a seat just across the raven haired male.

To be honest, he thought the guy wouldn't make it since his schedule's probably packed but here he is, sitting in front of Yeonjun with that habit of arching his brow in a questioning yet adorable manner. It made Yeonjun feel glad.

"What made you think I won't?" Soobin asked, his gaze focusing on Yeonjun.

The older male shrugged. "With you always being busy, I thought you'll have a meeting or something."

Now's the time for Soobin's gaze to fall towards the floor.

"Uhm, no. I don't have one." He reached for the glass of water and drinks from it. Yeonjun nodded.

"Oh, then it's completely fine that you left?"

"Yeah, it's my break too anyway."

Yeonjun's brow furrowed a little as he remembers something, "But didn't you tell me your break's usually around 1 pm? It's still pretty early."

Soobin almost choked on his water. "We had an early break."

"Is that so?"

"Yeah," Soobin nodded, but it seems like he's convincing himself more than he's convincing Yeonjun. "You know what? Let's just order, I'm starving."

*

"—and I wasn't listening right? So when they called me I just nodded, hence accepting the offer." Yeonjun put a spoonful of rice in his mouth once he finished talking. Soobin just watched him tell his story with an amused look on his face.

"Now that I think about it, it was actually your fault." The brunette pointed his spoon at Soobin accusingly, the silverware reflecting the younger's perplexed expression.

"I didn't do anything?"

"You were texting me, that's why I couldn't listen." Yeonjun pouted, fake glaring at Soobin.

"But you responded." The younger of the two smirked, knowing he flipped it around.

"Touché." Yeonjun then sipped on his drink.

After quite some time, these two found themselves sitting at the back of a movie theater. The funny thing is, they don't know what movie it is they're watching.

They just decided it's a good idea to watch a movie and so they went, not even minding to check the available movies. They just bought two tickets, went in and now they're there.

Not even paying attention to the graphics playing as they're too busy throwing popcorns at each other.

It wasn't a problem at first since they weren't harming anyone and there weren't that much people at the theater anyway but then these two chose to take their little childish play to the extreme and threw a handful of popcorns at the other at the same time. And yeah, you guessed it, they created such a mess that even included the couple sitting in front of them.

Apparently, they kept on hitting them with the popcorns that the couple got fed up and reported them.

And then it happened.

They got kicked out.

Maybe going to the arcade was a wrong move.

Yeonjun got reunited again with his nemesis, also known as the claw machine. He kept on trying to win a plushie so bad but all his efforts were wasted and Soobin only laughed at his misery which resulted to a very grumpy Yeonjun. He even almost knocked down the poor game.

Fortunately, he didn't so they weren't kicked out for the second time.

However, what he did was bet that Soobin couldn't do a better job.

And then it was Soobin's turn to get frustrated because the damned machine was cursed or something, much to Yeonjun's contentment.

He watched and laughed at Soobin's desperate attempt to get the fox plushie but nothing happened.

It just kept on dropping to the point Soobin asked the game consultant if he could just buy it.

Sadly, the man said it's against the rules so they went to play a different game and threatened they'll burn the cursed game if they stumbled upon it again.

They then tried almost everything, from shooting games to basketball to this one game they couldn't figure out how everything works.

"Hey, did we just skip work?"

"I guess."

"Oh shit, I get Choi Soobin to rebel. It is indeed, an honor."

"You're such a bad influence."

"Too bad you're stuck with me."

"Well you're stuck with me too, so I think we're fair."

"Yeah and we'll stay stuck in this damned room if we don't find the clues!"

"You suggested this escape room, you said it'll be fun."

"I regret it now! Binnie you have to use your brain." Yeonjun was searching the drawers, using the given flashlight in hope to find something useful.

Soobin was on the other side of the room, trying to figure out what the fuck the riddle means. "I am trying!"

"Oh my god, oh my god, I felt something grabbed my ankle! Soobin get in here or else!" It was true, a hand was holding Yeonjun's ankle and he felt his blood running cold. He deeply regrets ever suggesting this idea. He thought it'll be easy since Taehyun and Beomgyu made it sound like it was.

Soobin turned around to look for Yeonjun, moving his flashlight to spot the boy but there suddenly was a wall between them that wasn't there before. It was a secret, but Soobin's starting to get freaked out too.

"I don't think I can. There's a wall between us-"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S A WALL!?"

"It appeared. Did you press something?"

"I DON'T KNOW! GET IN HERE OR ELSE I'M GONNA DIE!"

*

"That was the worst one hour and a half of my life." Yeonjun said in the car ride back to their house once he got out of his shocked state.

He may or may have not gotten traumatized by that wicked room.

And Soobin isn't anywhere near better.

The guy was scared out of his wits too but he prefers not to share that information.

"It was your idea." Soobin replied, casually turning the stirring wheel to the left and sparing Yeonjun a side glance.

The brown haired boy looked at him and pouted, "I told you I regret it, and don't think I forgot about you leaving me inside that dark room when I told you something was holding my ankle!"

"I didn't leave you, there suddenly was a wall."

"You should've climbed then."

Soobin sighed, there was no way he could win this argument. "Who do you think I am? Peter Parker?"

"No, Peter wouldn't leave me like that." Yeonjun stared out the window, a playful smile on his lips could be seen in his reflection in the rearview mirror.

Once they reached the house, the two were too lazy to make themselves dinner so they decided they'll just call delivery. Luckily, both of them were craving the same thing so the choosing of food weren't that much of a problem.

They washed up, changed into more comfortable clothes and realized how weird they probably looked like for the people they encountered earlier since they were wearing their business attire complete with coats and ties but they were there, playing at the arcade and losing their minds out of that escape room.

Yeonjun then spotted Soobin in the living room when he got down from the stairs. The taller male's wearing his glasses as he reads seriously through his book, the cover couldn't be seen so Yeonjun doesn't know what the title of it is. But he could tell it is thick, Soobin would most likely spend a week reading it.

He doesn't look it, but Yeonjun's actually a reader himself. Perhaps not enough to be a bookworm but he enjoys reading from time to time too. If Soobin asked, he'll be able to suggest a list of the books he has grown attached to.

"What are you reading?"

Soobin looked up from the pages and Yeonjun almost coo-ed out loud when the younger's gaze land on him. He looks so adorable with his glasses on and his untamed hair, wearing that pajama Yeonjun recognized to be the one he bought for them.

It was such a cute sight that Yeonjun felt a really strong urge to pinch his cheeks so he did. Soobin tried to break free, making his book fall down to the brown carpeted floor. Because of this, Yeonjun finally got a view of the title and his eyes immediately twinkle in excitement.

"You read Harry Potter?" his tone was laced with so much enthusiasm, Soobin forgot he's supposed to be annoyed.

"What? You thought I was a muggle?" Soobin replied as he picked up the book, Yeonjun eagerly sat beside him on the couch.

"Oh Merlin! Which house?"

"Hufflepuff."

"Wait, really? I thought you'll be in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw." The shorter frowned.

"Well, Pottermore doesn't think so." Soobin casually replied, flipping the book pages to find the chapter he was in before Yeonjun pestered him.

"You know about that too!?" Yeonjun could squeal right now but he still keeps his composure, though he's practically squishing Soobin since he kept on shifting closer towards the taller male to get a glimpse of the book.

Not like Soobin mind, so it's completely fine.

"Of course."

"After all these time?" Yeonjun stared at Soobin's face, his grip on the male's arm getting tight.

If Soobin answers him with that one word, he's gonna lose it.

Mark his words.

After hearing the question, Soobin slowly turned his head to the right and witnessed Yeonjun's hopeful expression. He stared back at his eyes, absorbing all the details in it and thought about how much he doesn't want anyone to see their image in them aside from him.

"Always."

That's the moment when Soobin got unexpectedly tackled by a wild Yeonjun.

The guy just let out a squeal and straight out shove him down on the couch. Good thing the sofa's soft or else he'd be having a concussion right now.

Yeonjun has his arms wrapped around the startled giant, his fingers securely locked as he has them around Soobin's neck. Because of the impact and the abruptness of the action, Soobin's reflexes got him wrapping his arms around the older's waist too.

Getting them in that position that just had to be seen by a very much surprised Taehyung.

"Holy shit, my cousin's a hoe!"
