There's a soft music playing. Tables and chairs placed practically everywhere with plates and wine glasses resting on top of it. Flowers and cards were set, lying comfortably in the middle of each table.

The ladies are wearing elegant dresses along with their flashing diamond jewelries. Red lipstick on and heels trying to top one another. The men are also sporting their own tuxedos, ties and bowties hanging just below their necks. Watches of golds wrapping themselves around their wrists.

The people took their time to flaunt and talk. Smiling at the flashing cameras, waving, laughing, grinning.

In the midst of this event, Yeonjun found himself standing alone at the back of the room. He watched all these people, he recognized some and pointed out the new ones but even though he's familiar with them, he knows no one aside from himself.

All these people around him and he still feels alone.

Yeonjun took a deep breath and prepares himself for all the facade he's bound to do for the entirety of the night.

You know the usual fake interests, the show he always puts on for the people to think he's like them. Gotta pretend he's all up for this kind of things. Though he really isn't and he hates this type of party with these type of crowd with their hidden agendas and secret motives.

He rathers stay in bed and watch dramas all night long than be surrounded with fakes who only cares about luxury and shit.

Okay, maybe not all of them is like that but still.

He wants to go home.

Why does he have to be there, he feels so out of place.

Awkwardly smiling back when someone greets him, Yeonjun decided to take a break and went out of the room to breathe.

He still hasn't seen anyone he really knew. His mom and dad were busy entertaining their guests along with Soobin's parents and Soobin was still nowhere to be found.

That fucking giant better show up or he's gonna catch Yeonjun's hands.

He told Yeonjun to go first since he has to take care of some stuff which the older doesn't know about. He just assumed it's business related so he stop giving two flying fucks.

Good thing the tension between the two eased down after a couple of weeks. Yeonjun was back to annoying Soobin after a while of ignoring the heck outta him. Soobin was still clueless as to why the brunette disregarded his existence though but he chose not to meddle with Yeonjun's reason. He's just glad he's back to his annoying ways.

If you're curious about if Yeonjun has figured out his thoughts and feelings, thanks to his mom's words, then the answer would be absolutely..... no.

That fucking idiot decided it would be better to ignore whatever that was and thought avoiding the other would help sort it out.

But surprise, bitch. It didn't.

He's still left as confused and as dense as ever.

Fortunately, he realized doing those measures were pointless anyway so he once again started acknowledging Soobin and went back to being himself.

He just hopes he wouldn't get too attached like what his mom thinks.

Yeonjun was casually humming to himself, strolling through the corridor when he bumped into a blonde haired male. They exchanged apologies and Yeonjun was about to dismiss him when he caught sight of his face and was shocked to see who this man is.

"YOU DYED YOUR HAIR!?"

The man flinched because of Yeonjun's sudden outburst and was gonna ask what the fuck his problem is when he realized he knew that someone who just yelled at his face.

"Oh hey, Jun. Didn't see you there." The man wiggled his eyebrows at him in a playful manner and laughed. The laughter died down though when he noticed Yeonjun was just staring at him judgingly. "Get it? I didn't see you– we bumped– you we– oh nevermind."

"When did you dye your hair Jimin hyung?" Yeonjun asked, stepping forward to try and ruffle the latter's hair. Jimin glared at his attempt and backed away.

"Don't touch it, I spent half an hour to style it this way."

The younger put his hands up in surrender and sent him a sheepish smile.

"But to answer your question, it was 2 days ago. Jungkook and I went out for a drink, got drunk and woke up the next morning to find my hair bleached." Jimin explained as he looked at his watch.

Yeonjun felt a hit of familiarity with Jimin's story. "Yeah, the things we do when we're drunk."

He grimaced at himself. Why couldn't he do something as simple as dying his hair? What the fuck was he thinking that he settled for marriage?

But, he probably wouldn't know Soobin if it wasn't for that wrong decision so maybe it wasn't that bad—

"Oh right, your father informed me to get you to the stage in about, an hour. I believe you can handle going there on your own, yeah?"

He nodded. "Yeah, I'll be there. You go find your boyfriend or something." He then proceeded to walk away, leaving a flustered Jimin behind.

"Jungkook is not my boyfriend!"

"Never said he is~"

"Yeonjun!"

___

Again, Yeonjun found himself being left out in a sea of people.

He came back in the party 10 minutes ago since he grew tired of wandering around in the corridor looking like a lost person who forgot which room he should enter. He's standing beside this table with his phone in hand, texting Taehyung and ranting about how bored he is.

It could've been more tolerable if the gray haired was there but he has some important schedule to attend to that's why he couldn't make it. Talk about the world's love for Yeonjun.

But hey, maybe the world really does love Yeonjun.

When he was about to send another text to Taehyung, Beomgyu along with Taehyun suddenly popped out of nowhere. Terrifying the shit out of the brown haired boy.

If it wasn't for the people and the cameras around, he would've killed those two on spot.

"What is wrong with you?" He scolded. His hands tucking away the phone in his suit. He'll stop bothering Taehyung, for now.

Taehyun snickered, "Was trying to scare you to death. Too bad it didn't work."

Yeonjun glared at him.

"Oh, where's Soobin? Thought he'd be with you since he's your husband and all. Plus, this party's technically for you both, right?" Beomgyu asked as he noticed Soobin's absence. He looked around for a bit, trying to spot the tall male but to his dismay, he couldn't. All he could see are business people and some celebrities with their glasses of wines. The lights, cameras, the band at the corner with their instruments in hand but no sight of Soobin.

"To be honest, I don't know." Yeonjun sighed. He's been wondering the same thing since this night started but it brought him nothing. The male still hasn't showed up and it's starting to worry him.

He shouldn't worry though. That man knows what he's doing so he must be fine.

Nothing to worry about.

Right?

"What do you mean you don't know?" Asked Taehyun, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. He then reached for a chair and sat down, feeling content after standing for who knows how long.

Beomgyu did the same and sat next to him also asking Yeonjun to sit but he refused.

If he sat down now and these two leave, someone will come over and start an unwanted conversation with him and it'll be too awkward and he'll come off rude if he'll walk away in the middle of a talk.

And knowing these two, they'll be up to something in the next moment which would most likely be embarrassing and his father wouldn't be too glad if he got involved especially now that they're the host of this god forsaken party.

Would you look at that, Yeonjun's showing off his overthinking skills just because Beomgyu asked him to sit down.

"It means I don't know." He answered Taehyun who only shrugged at him.

"Hmm okay, sounds like a you problem."

"You literally asked—"

"Would you like a wine, sir?" A waiter interrupted, holding a server tray. The three gave him a look, enough to make him realize what he just did so he got flustered and bowed, muttered an apology and scurried away.

"You scared him off." Beomgyu commented after a moment of just watching the waiter go on his way.

Taehyun threw him a glance, "Your face scared him off."

"Can't you be nice for once?"

"It's like you're asking a corpse to be alive, Beom."

"Excuse me, I'm right here?"

"You're point is?" Yeonjun raised his brow. Taehyun gaped at him. Beomgyu's just there casually sipping his tea.

Where he even got that tea? No one knows.

The trio then spent the next 20 minutes chatting with a few occasional banter, that couldn't be taken away from them anyway. They exchanged comments about what the person's wearing when they walked passed them. Collectively judging some if you may.

Don't get them wrong, they're really not usual judging people but when you're fucking bored at a party you just automatically turn into one.

Like hey, is that a fucking rag she's wearing? Oh my god that looks hideous.

Taehyun was fake gagging when a lady whose make up looks like a distorted cake walked near them. She was clinging to a man who's obviously decades older than her and she was being so sweet it looks so fake. And that black dress she's wearing? Is that even a dress? It looks like someone just taped her into it, it's so fucking tight she be looking like she ain't breathing anymore.

Beomgyu cringed when the said lady playfully punched her old escort, what the fuck? Who invited them here? Yeonjun was also so close in having his face permanently in grimace.

"I'm betting my car she's a wholeass gold digger." Taehyun muttered, shifting his gaze from the couple to his two friends beside him. He got a hold of a glass and downed it in one go. It's water, don't worry.

"Don't be like that, maybe she really does like him." Beomgyu said which earned a questioning look from the other two.

"You really think so?" Countered Yeonjun.

"No bitch. Even if she's his daughter, she wouldn't be holding onto him like he's her treasure chess. Definitely a gold digger."

"Oh my god the both of you are so mean. Why am I friends with you?" Yeonjun was shaking his head. He got a grin on his lips while he was saying that though.

"Because you're meaner." Taehyun rolled his eyes, "anyway, I have to go find my parents. They have this someone they want me to meet or date or whatever. Gotta make a bad impression to make em back off." He finished with a wink as he raised his hand up to bid goodbye.

Beomgyu stood up too. Yeonjun spared him a glance, "and where are you going?"

"Gonna help Taehyun make a bad impression. Wanna join us?" Beomgyu offered, his lips curling up in excitement already. Taehyun, who is beside him, nodded his head in anticipation.

"I would love to but, I pass. Can't join you tonight since–" he side eyed the stage where his parents are. His two friends nodded in understanding and went off on their way.

He's alone. Again.

He still has 30 minutes to spare before he got on the stage to recite his little speech and Soobin still hasn't showed up. He texted him already, asking where he is but he received nothing in response.

Yeonjun looked around, thinking if he should go have a bit of fun but this half opened curtain caught his attention. Yeonjun brought his wine glass and walked closely towards the said curtain. He ran into a few people which made him sent them an awkward smile but at last he reached the place.

He frowned, curious as to why's the curtain half opened and pushed it into the side only to witness a cozy looking balcony. Yeonjun's frown swiftly disappeared and was replaced with a small smile. His eyes shining in achievement as if he discovered something extraordinary.

But anyway, Yeonjun got into the balcony and closed the curtain behind him. Good thing nobody bothered to get in here so he'll be able to have a time to himself.

There's also a bench placed in here so he could sit down and be comfortable without the worry of someone coming over to start a conversation with him. He lied down, sighed and looked above.

The sky's dark once again, the stars shining like they're supposed to but something's missing.

The moon isn't showing itself.

Sure, the stars are beautiful but Yeonjun prefers the moon above them all.

He's aware it couldn't shine on its own. It needs the sun to reflect light and use it but that's what fascinates him more. How the moon is able to find light in something else and embrace it instead of succumbing itself in darkness.

How wonderful it would feel like to know you're someone's light.

Yeonjun's daydreaming was cut off when someone invited himself in. That someone took a seat beside him and Yeonjun didn't have to look to know who it is.

"You're awfully late." He breathed out, still looking up at the sky.

"I know. Told you I have to take care of something." The male answered, he too, was looking up ahead.

Yeonjun turned his head and examined the male beside him. His hair was styled to the sides, exposing a bit of his forehead. He even got a hint of make up on although it's kinda worn out now, he probably has it on for a while. He's wearing a dark blue suit, the one that looks a lot like what he's wearing, but instead of having a bow tie he wore an undone tie.

He's gorgeous, Yeonjun's not gonna deny that.

And fuck it, his chest feels tight.

Maybe turning around to look at Soobin was a bad idea.

Soobin noticed him staring so he shifted his gaze away from the sky, Yeonjun was quick to look away though.

Soobin softly smiled, it brought him back memories. Like the time he confronted Yeonjun and dragged him to a restaurant. The older was refusing to eat but he caught him staring and when he's about to make contact, Yeonjun turned away so fast.

And from them on, he learned Yeonjun has a habit of staring and looking away before he got caught. At least, he thinks he wasn't caught.

Soobin always catch him staring, he just never said a word.

"So, why are you here?" Asked Yeonjun.

"Well, this party's kinda arranged for me too—"

"No~ I mean, in here– in this, this balcony."

Soobin shrugged, "Just found my way in here."

Lies.

He did not just find his way there.

The first thing he did when he got to that place, was look for this certain someone with a brown hair.

He was searching the crowd, didn't even bother to greet his family and went ahead in this balcony when he saw that someone sitting there alone.

Next time you tryna hide in a balcony, make sure to close the curtain all the way through. Get that Yeonjun?

But perhaps the result wasn't so bad after all, right?

Soobin found him.

And he isn't alone anymore.

He has Soobin to be alone with now.

"What about you? Why are you in here and not socializing out there?" Soobin asked, it's now his turn to stare at the beauty in front of him.

Yeonjun pursed his lips and faced the taller male. "I don't like it."

Soobin sent him a curious look. Yeonjun sighed, got up and rest his side against the balcony railings. He has his chin lying on his hand when Soobin stood beside him.

"You don't like it?"

Yeonjun nodded at him. "Not that I don't like parties– I love parties– but just you know? Not this kind of party. I don't like being surrounded by people who praise me in my face but are also stabbing me in the back. These people, they're here because of what? Business, right? And after the fun, what? Are they gonna be there if you're low? I know I shouldn't be thinking this way– it's stupid, really. But I just can't help it, I feel like–"

"I don't belong here." Soobin finished as he stares at Yeonjun. The male's eyes wide in surprise, his lips frozen in place as he did not expect Soobin to say exactly what he feels.

"I got you and no– it isn't stupid. That's what you feel and that's what I feel too, honestly. Never really liked attending one, I'd rather stay at home and sleep but what can I do? I'm Choi Soobin and I have to be present in every single party my parents' hold."

Is it real? Is Soobin ranting to him right now? Is Soobin saying those words he wants to say? He isn't the only one who feels that way?

Woah, Yeonjun thought Soobin's gonna make fun of him and call him a partypooper or some shit.

But here he is, ranting and being relatable as fuck.

"–and yeah, I just mastered this whole blank face so people would be scared and not talk to me."

Yeonjun laughed, so hard he was holding the railings so tight as to not fall over. "I thought you were just, I don't know, born with a resting bitch face?"

"No, it takes practice and a whole lot of annoyance." Soobin played along. Grinning like a mad man as he watched Yeonjun laugh again.

Then the laughter died down and it was replaced with a comforting silence. It was just the two of them, standing side by side as they both admire the night sky.

It was pretty windy, the cold air blowing their bangs away as the party behind them slowly faded into nothingness. Completely ignored into oblivion.

Suddenly, Soobin decided to break free from the tranquility.

"Hey, Yeonjun?"

The male hummed as a response and looked at him. His eyes somehow reflecting the starlight.

And for goodness'sake, Soobin found him breathtaking.

Finally, he let out the words he's been meaning to ask the moment he spotted him in this balcony.

"Do you want to runaway with me?"
