I'll get it.

I'll go.

The two spoke at the same time when the doorbell rang, finding it to be an opportunity to break free from the suffocating awkward atmosphere. They looked at each other and felt this giddy feeling of wanting to vanish again.

“You get it and I'll... uh... go get the... uhm... plates.” Yeonjun winced at his stammering self.

Sure... you.. uh.. do that.

Once the foods were settled, both of them just sat there with their plates in front of them. Still too conscious and shit to start moving and eat.

The chicken's smell is too luring to ignore though, it's making their stomach growl and the very appetizing black bean noodle isn't exactly helping their case either.

Having enough of the uncomfortable silence, Soobin was the first to break.

Let's stop this.

Yeonjun looked at him with a baffled expression. He took it as a sign to continue.

I meant to say that we should just forget about all the earlier incidents and continue like nothing happened because it's—it's –

Uncomfortable and awkward? the older male finished for him and sighed out of relief. “Thank goodness. I thought I was the only one struggling.

So I'm assuming that's a deal?

What? Do we have to sign papers for this kind of stuffs too?” Yeonjun teased with a small smile lingering on his lips—hands already reaching out for the chicken. Soobin shook his head at Yeonjun's attempt in making the atmosphere lighter but still appreciated it anyway. He too, started to reach for the noodles. Both of them finally being able to eat in peace.

How long have you been playing the piano? asked Yeonjun suddenly, kind of catching Soobin off guard as he munched on his chicken. He stared at the brunette's face blankly and saw genuine curiosity so he decided to answer.

Since I was 9 I think? Jin hyung attended lessons and he taught me what he learned.

Yeonjun nodded, seeming quite interested.

You play well.

Wait until you hear Jin hyung play then.

He's busy though, Yeonjun pouted, “And it's not like we're close friends to make him play for me. I only ever met him once and that was for a business meeting.

And? Im his brother, he'll play for me.

Yeah, for you.

Soobin took note of how the other emphasized the last word. “I can invite him some time—with Namjoon hyung—if you want.

Really? Soobin nodded casually. “That would be great! But wait- Namjoon hyung?

His husband.

Oh, so that's why his last name is Kim. Yeonjun muttered to himself, getting hooked up in the conversation.

Hold up- Kim Namjoon, where did I hear that nam- Oh right! Isn't he a song writer slash producer slash whatever in that one company? What was it called again? Hit it? Big hit? Oh! JinHit Entertainment!

Soobin watched as Yeonjun's eyes lit up and how he smiled in triumph. Obviously feeling proud of himself and he found it pretty amusing. He even let himself let out a chuckle too.

Why? Let him think about that later.

Awe! You're brother married a talented man! I heard he's an ambassador too! Your brother is so lucky! Yeonjun continued rambling about how apparently lucky Jin is when he suddenly frowned. “That makes them both busy.” He looked at Soobin with concern, “Do they still see each other? I mean they're in different compa –”

Yeonjun. Soobin cut him off.

Huh?

“Jin hyung runs that company too. It literally screams his name. Of course they see each other, maybe a little too much.” Soobin recalled that time when he went to his brother's office and witnessed the two being flirty and gross during business hours. He shivered from the memory and silently prayed to never experience that terrible moment again.

Oh.” Yeonjun said. “Speaking of that, I noticed you're here pretty often lately. Not that I don't want you here, I appreciate the company but, the first week you weren't really staying. Made me think you hate me or something.

The company was having a busy schedule that time and we needed to finish things as fast as we could. So no, I don't hate you. Soobin explained, unconsciously assuring a certain someone.

So that's why.

It was unusual but they continued talking about different stuffs too. Giving snarky remarks here and there but not really ending to an argument. Both males found it nice. They weren't expecting to have a civil talk nor get along but this could work too. Although it wasn't verbally mentioned, they were sure they were passed the strangers status now.

___

It was some time in the afternoon when Yeonjun found himself chilling at the supposedly 'art room' they decorated. He was examining the paintings they made on the walls and nodded to himself, thinking that it did not turn out to be that bad despite accidentally ruining it. It could still pass as an abstract work, no worries here.

He was passing by the supplies and tried to set up a canvas when he saw Soobin walking near the door so he called him. “Soobin!

The younger raised his head from his phone and strode over, “What?

Do you know how to set this up? I don't get it.”

Soobin sighed and shook his head.

Why did you buy it if you don't know how to use it?

Just help me!

Few minutes later and they were done with Soobin doing most of the work while Yeonjun just stood there, watching him. The black haired male adjusted the easel for the last time and turned to Yeonjun with his usual bired expression.

Can I leave now?

Nodding his head and grinning, Yeonjun dismissed the other. “Yeah, thank you!

Soobin rolled his eyes at him and walk towards the door when a certain part of the ceiling caught his attention. It was at the corner near the door and he made his way towards it. With his eyes squinting in curiosity, he reached his hand forward to grab the rectangular hallowed space and it budged, to his surprise. To confirm he wasn't just imagining its movement, he pulled it harder for the 2nd time and if it breaks then he'll just hire someone to fix it, whatever. But instead of a broken material like he expected, a wholeass extending ladder came into view.

His eyes widened, expression appalled but nevertheless, still amused and intrigued. This thing really managed to pique his interest. “I think I found something.” He mumbled but it was loud enough for Yeonjun to hear and the said male came rushing to his side in an instant.

What's that? Yeonjun eyed the ceiling and now ladder thing and turned to Soobin.

I don't know.

And because they're both curious little shits they did not even hesitate to check it out and climb up the ladder. Like how those stupid characters in the movies do that's why they end up dying.

Anyway, Soobin was following behind Yeonjun. And the moment they reached the top, Yeonjun couldn't help himself from admiring the cabin-like cozy room in front of them. It just needs a few touches and it would be a great hideout fantasy. He could already picture it in his mind.

Without wasting anymore second, he turned to the poker-faced giant beside him and clung into his arms.

Are you up for another decoratons? Yeonjun asked with a glint of excitement in his voice. It really sounded like he's so into it and would force Soobin if he declined.

To avoid that happening, he just shrugged and turned to leave. He was about to climb down when he realized Yeonjun was still gripping into his arm and brushed it off.

Not like I have a choice.” He said.

Yeonjun may or may not cling into him again after hearing that.
