Four days of living in a new house and exactly a month of being drunkenly married, Yeonjun found himself slowly rotting away in monotony. He's at the living room, already in the middle of his 3rd movie when the creeping feeling of boredom strikes him. He's so jaded to the point that Harry freaking Potter doesn't hook his interest anymore.

Huffing, he leaned forward to get the bowl of popcorn resting on the coffee table and lied down on the couch— thinking of ways to cure his current state or else he's going to die. No kidding, he'd really die. He might get to the point of being bored so much he'll start doing something dangerously stupid that will result to his death.

But then again, Yeonjun's mind seems to be shut down because it isn't working. He has no goddamn idea what to do!

Due to that reason, he started to get pissed and threw the popcorn away. The poor kernels creating a mess on the carpeted floor but he couldn't careless. His nonexistent entertainment is way more important than those tasty little caramel puffs anyway.

Oh! Maybe he should get up and clean it! In that way, he'll finally have something to focus at and keep him busy!

Nevermind, Yeonjun's too lazy of a shit to even move and do that. He'll just stay on the couch and continue whining about how bored he is.

Five minutes later, an idea popped up into his pretty little mind that made him feel stupid for not thinking about sooner. He stops rolling over the comfortable cushions of the couch and roams his hands over it to find his phone. Few seconds later, he finally found it being covered by a throw pillow and had a little celebratory dance.

Yeonjun, now embarrased by what he had done, quickly searched for Beomgyu's contact and facetimed him. He was about to throw his phone away out of frustration when several rings later there was still no one answering but fortunately for the phone's life, Beomgyu picked it up.

“What do you wan-”

“I'm bored!” Yeonjun shouted before Beomgyu could even finish his sentence, causing the boy to roll his eyes.

“Then do something.”

“I'm too lazy,” answered Yeonjun while a pout found its way on his lips. Beomgyu gave him a judging look which the older ignored, instead he continued speaking. “Come over and buy me ice cream!”

The latter scoffed at his hyung's behaviour and couldn't help but wonder how this giant baby became older than him. Seriously, he always acts as if he's the younger one and is always in need of supervision.

“I can't, I'm leaving for Daegu. Mom wants me to visit– oh right, she says hi to you and Taehyun.” Beomgyu puts his phone somewhere and fixes it so that he'd still appear in camera. It shows him packing stuffs on his bed, indicating that he isn't making up excuses. “How about this— go and pester your husband and leave me alone.”

Yeonjun frowns upon hearing that, “If he's here then I would. Also, can you not call him my husband? It's weird.”

“Well, you're married,” Beomgyu shrugged. “What do you want me to address him? Your son?”

“Ha. Ha. Very funny.”

“Bitch I know I'm hilarious. By the way, you mentioned Soobin isn't there, where is he?”

“I don't know. At work perhaps? He's barely here you know? It actually feels like I'm living alone.” the older sits up properly, watching his friend stood up to get something. Now that he said it, Soobin doesn't really stay at the house for long. Yeonjun isn't even sure if he stops by to sleep. And if he does, then Yeonjun has no idea. They don't really bump into each other that much, perks of having a hugeass house with only two people living in it.

Should Yeonjun invite all his friends for a sleep over? It's not like Soobin could argue since he isn't there anyway. Yet again, he only has Beomgyu and Taehyun as his close friends.

Wow, talk about having a social life.

“Oh, would you look at that. Soobin already finds his work more interesting than you. Gosh! Just how lame can you be?”

Yeonjun glared at the phone, “You know what? Screw you, you're useless. This is why Taehyun's my favourite. Bye chestnut looking headass.”

He ended the call and sighed, letting his body fell back down on the couch once again. His eyes were close, trying to imagine that he was on a different setting with people and his friends surrounding him. All of them having fun like how it should be instead of him opening his eyes and facing the cruel reality of being alone in a huge yet deserted house with nothing to do.

What's really the purpose of imagination? Do people have this ability so they could picture things on how they could have been? To envision yourself in situations that are really different from the ones you're in? Don't you think it's a little painful? All the better things— the things you want to experience are all just in your head. No matter what, you can't actually relive it. It was just there, lingering inside your mind but you? You're not really there because it isn't real. And reality fucking sucks.

Oh, maybe that's it. Maybe that's why people are so hooked up and mad at reality because they have this whole better image created inside their heads and they cling onto it so much because they badly want it to happen but they were given the sad reality they have instead.

It's the cold, hard and harsh truth and we all have to accept it.

Still, imagining things give people the joy they were denied; the reason why we all love it so much.

And do you know what Yeonjun loves about it a lot?

It's the fact that he could control it. He has the power of everything and he doesn't have anyone to tell him what is and what is not do. Everything goes according to his liking and what he would like the most is to be with Hyunjin once again.

Fuck, he really shouldn't be thinking about him at all. He should be starting to get over him. It's been a goddamn month for crying out loud. So why is he imagining Hyunjin beside him and laughing and running his hands through his hair like he used to do?

Yeonjun fluttered his eyes open slowly and feels something wet sliding down his cheeks. He sat up and wiped the wet thingy out of his face using his sleeves. Tell him, just where on earth are all these water coming from?

“What are you doing?” Soobin's voice could be heard suddenly, causing the conflicted male to warily turn around and face the frowning giant.

“Oh, you're back.” said Yeonjun while standing up. His hands still busy in patting his eyes dry which did not go unnoticed by Soobin.

If it was still possible for Soobin's frown to deepen then it did. He stepped forward to get closer to the elder but to his surprise, he was stopped by a pile of messy popcorns being crushed underneath his homeslippers.

Damn those tasty corn puffs.

“Don't tell me you're crying because you accidentally spilled your bowl of popcorn.”

Soobin avoided looking at Yeonjun like he couldn't bare to glance at him and confirm his assumptions that this guy right here— this older guy right here was upset like a child over a freaking spilled bowl of popcorns.

“What? No!” I wish it was really the reason. “Why would I cry over that!” replied the stunned male. “And who said I was crying? There was just something in my eye.” he added.

Soobin did not buy that poor excuse of course, but did not question it any further either to Yeonjun's relief. Instead, that ever so permanent scowl on his face never went away as he examined what had came out of the living room. “This place looks like a children's after-party. Clean it up.”

Hearing that made Yeonjun scoff as he watched Soobin walked away in disbelief. “Excuse me?” but the latter just continued walking so Yeonjun was left with no choice but to yell at him. “Come back here! I have to talk to you about something!”

“Can't you tone down your voice?”

“I would if you get back here!”

With lots of profanities scattering in his mind, Soobin returned in the mess of a living room and glared at Yeonjun. “What do you want?"

And as if something ticked, Yeonjun felt heat rushing into his face that he couldn't stop himself from ranting. “Listen, for the past four days I was the only one moving around in this house. I cooked all the meals you've eaten and cleaned afterwards while you couldn't even be bothered to wash the dishes after you ate! I always come down in the kitchen only to see the plates piling up in the sink! I don't even see you but I clearly see all the mess you're making but you don't hear me complain! I was even doing all your tasks since you're barely even here and you had the audacity to insult the little thing I made–"

Right, they made a list of each other's tasks around the house after the rules but it seems like they're already encountering a problem and it has only been a few days of living together.

Soobin just stared down at Yeonjun with a blank face after all the yelling like he wasn't bothered by it even for just a tiny bit. He did not even look like he was guilty which only made Yeonjun annoyed even more.

“What's with that look? Can't you react or something!?”

“What do you want me to do then?”

“Didn't you hear anything I said? I want you to clean u–”

“I wasn't the one who created this mess now though, was I?”

Yeonjun couldn't help but groan in frustration and facepalming himself because of Soobin's answer. If this guy continues acting like a piece of shit, Yeonjun's going to whack him in the face.

“I don't get what you're fussing on about. It's only been a few day–”

“Exactly! It's only been four days but you're being a pain in the butt already! Do you expect me to be your servant for a whole year?”

Turning around and rolling his eyes while Yeonjun's in the midst of his yet again another nagging, Soobin began pacing around the living room until he spotted a white box just below the edge of the long couch. He walked over it and crouched down, picking it up.

“What are you doing?” Yeonjun had only noticed Soobin's actions and frowned.

“Cleaning.” was Soobin's only response.

The taller was just about to open the box when Yeonjun recognized what it was. His eyes widen and he snatched it from Soobin's grip before he could even blink. Startled, Soobin was, as he watched Yeonjun embraced the object. He opened his mouth to say something but the older glared at him. His looks so sharp that if Soobin dared speak once more he'd be lying on the floor lifeless.

“Just go upstairs and lock yourself in your room like you always do. I'll clean this.” Though his tone was a lot more calmer than the nagging earlier, this was 10x more threatening that Soobin almost feared the older male.

What could possibly be inside that box that Yeonjun became that way so quickly?

___

For these past few days, Soobin became a lot more busier than usual and he was so freaking tired. The company had just came down to the decision of being open to receive proposals indorsements following their release of statement that they'll be partnering with Choi's Enterprises after revealing that Soobin and Yeonjun got married which earned a lot of controversies.

They did expect to receive lots of proposals but not that many so they decided to only give three days for the other companies to submit theirs. Because of that, Soobin has to face lots of documents, review it, sign and approve. However, the proposals weren't the only ones he had to face.

Since they are running an entertainment company, they have to make projects for their artists, think of new contents and concepts, do promotions and a lot more that Soobin wondered what the fuck are the others doing and he has to do almost all the work. Can't they fucking decide on their own?

But he couldn't complain since he knew  his brother has a harder time than all of them, being the president and all. And he also knew that everyone was doing their best.

That doesn't mean he couldn't be tired though. Soobin was so exhausted that he didn't have any energy to smile, socialize and be kind. The paperworks were already stressful enough but he also had to attend meeting for the indorsements they've chosen.

Everything was piling up so much that all Soobin did the whole day were snarl, snap and frown.

By the time he was finally out of the office, he didn't want anything else but to stay in bed all day and night. Just resting and sleeping because he wasn't able to do so for four consecutive days ago.

But when he arrived at his shared house, he did not expect to receive a shit ton of nagging only to be sent to his room the moment he decided to do something. Soobin decided not to dwell on it any longer, at least he'd be able to sleep and relax now— after he gone out of the shower that is.

Finally feeling refreshed after a tiring day, Soobin stepped out if the bathroom while drying his hair. He then flopped down on the bed and could instantly fall asleep if only he didn't notice the tray of food resting pretty in his bedside table.

Being the curious little shit that he is, Soobin leaned forward and put in on his lap. He stared at it for a good fifteen seconds, just absorbing the image of omelettes, rice, fried meat and sliced apples. He reached for the chopsticks to hopefully start eating but a sticky note at the side of the tray caught his attention. Soobin picked it up and read it.

It's a peace offering because I feel bad with all the yelling I did. Finish it all before you sleep, okay? You look tired.

PS. We're running out food so you better go buy groceries.

And for the first time that day, Soobin's lips curled up into a smile.
