To think that the fuss would be over by now, someone just really had to walk in the moment those words left Yeonjun's lips.

Yeah, the world loves Yeonjun that much.

“Woah, woah, woah. I was gone for 2 weeks and Yeonjun's already out here marrying some CEO?”

A buff man entered the living room, getting all of their attention. The said man looks puzzled yet amused, with his bouncy little curly hair– which is black by the way, and hands holding paper bags– which he now left on the floor, while he removes his coat and threw it elsewhere like he owns the place.

The three males just sit there and watch his every move until he's already seated in front of them, reaching for a single box of chicken and making himself comfortable.

“What?” he irks, “You gonna continue staring at me or you'll start explaining?” and now he's munching on a drumstick.

Saying that Yeonjun is about to pass out would be an understatement.

The poor boy looks like he's dying, it is so obvious that he's paler than usual and his body just ran cold. He just wants to vanish at this very instant. How many people just have to know?

Can't it be just a secret? A secret where he's the only one who knows?

Of course it couldn't be like that, seeing that the world loves to play tricks on him.

BUT CAN PEOPLE STOP KNOWING ABOUT HIS STUPID MISTAKE ALREADY!?

“I can't believe you just narrate my life's tragedy to Jungkook hyung.” Yeonjun sulks.

It's not like he doesn't trust the older guy, his mind's just warning him to be cautious. Because the more person who knows, the more chance of it spilling.

And Yeonjun would never appreciate that. If it's possible, he wants to keep that unknown until he fixes it.

“Awe, don't worry Junnie, your secret's safe with me.” His bunny like hyung tried to assure him and sent a playful wink.

“Hey watch it, he's a married guy.”

“Tae Hyung!”

The model just laughs, teasing Yeonjun a little bit more as he lays down his head on Jimin's lap. The latter wasn't even bothered, he just let Taehyung shift around until he finds a comfortable spot.

Yeonjun sighs, Taehyung's mood earlier seems to be put on him. His worry's just getting stronger and stronger he's even doubting if he could still sleep tonight.

Maybe it's better if he'll just surrender and beat his parents with whatever they are planning– that is if they really do know. But Yeonjun doesn't know anything anymore except that he regrets ever going to that club. He regrets drinking his brains out. He regrets ever agreeing to break up with his ex boyfriend.

Fuck it, he can't even be heartbroken in peace.

He's still not over the break up and he's already facing lots and lots of problems already.

He wonders if Hyunjin didn't break up with him, would they be happy right now?

Would they be having one of their dates?

Would they be upstairs, cuddling in his room?

Would they be travelling in Paris right now like they always plan to?

Would they be married instead?

Ha, what if they didn't argue? What if Hyunjin didn't really plan to break with him that night but he ruined it because he was being unreasonable? What if he suggested something else? Then maybe they'd still be together right now.

Yeonjun went to the address Hyunjin sent him earlier but he couldn't see his boyfriend. He was alone, strolling into this unfamiliar path with trees in each side of him creating a tunnel like pathway.

Yeonjun was confused but he was also anticipating what his boyfriend had planned today, considering that it was their 4th anniversary. He was already making up a couple of scenarios inside his head, obviously excited and expectant.

Hyunjin never missed any chance to make him smile. He always made sure that what he was doing will make Yeonjun happy and Yeonjun was very much thankful for that. Hyunjin was always so considerate and understanding and he never once failed to make Yeonjun feel loved.

And Yeonjun never failed at that too, he loves Hyunjin so much.

A few minutes of walking, Yeonjun finally found Hyunjin in the middle of the garden with a bouquet of roses in hand. He smiled at his lover as he approached him and Hyunjin was more than willing to welcome him with open arms.

“You're a dork.” Muttered Yeonjun, pulling away from the hug and taking a look at his surroundings. The place were filled with fairy lights and scented candles. There was also a  pathway created with petals and hanging polaroids leading to a table for two, waiting to get occupied.

Hyunjin did not fail to make him feel overwhelmed once again.

And now he felt bad for not even exerting much effort for his anniversary gift. He just bought something for Hyunjin while his boyfriend prepared all these for him.

“You didn't have to be this extra, you know?” Yeonjun added, smiling at Hyunjin.

Hyunjin brought his hands up and squished Yeonjun's face, “But I want tooo~”

“Now come on, the food's gonna get cold.”

They spent their night talking and laughing when the other made a joke but Yeonjun couldn't help but noticed that Hyunjin was being a little uneasy. Like he wants to tell him something but didn't know how to say it. Yeonjun tried to brush it off, thinking that Hyunjin will bring it up if he's ready but he was looking so nervous and he didn't want Hyunjin to be uncomfortable so he decided to point it out.

“You know you can always tell me what's bothering you.” Yeonjun softly said, reaching for Hyunjin's hand and giving it a comforting squeeze.

Hyunjin smiled at the gesture and took a deep breath, deciding that it was the time to say it. “Baby,”

“Yes?”

He closed his eyes, preparing himself for what was about to come. “Please don't get mad.”

Yeonjun's eyebrows creased but he quickly replaced it with little giggles, “Why would I get mad at you? Just say it, come on.”

His boyfriend forced himself to smile, consoling himself that Yeonjun would understand and that he didn't have to fear anything.

On the other hand, Yeonjun was getting curious and a little nervous. He didn't know why but he had a gut feeling that something wrong was about to occur. He didn't wanna believe it though, so he tried to shake the feeling away and just gave Hyunjin an encouraging smile.

“What is it, sweetheart?”

“Junnie, babe,”

“Hmm?”

“My parents want me to break up with you.”

Wait what?

Did Yeonjun heard it right? Was his ears playing games on him? Was it the music? The wind? Because there's no fucking way Hyunjin would say that. Just no.

“What?” Yeonjun was shocked, he must've been so shocked that he couldn't believed it and convinced himself that it was all a joke. He chuckled making Hyunjin worried and baffled, “Stop that. It isn't funny, babe.”

“Please, Junnie. Hear me out first, we don't have t–”

“So you aren't kidding? This isn't a prank? You want to break up?”

“Baby, listen– I don't wanna do this too. But I can't be against my parents–”

Yeonjun stood up from his seat, cutting Hyunjin off from talking. He yanked his hands away from Hyunjin and let out a shaky breath. “Please don't cry Junnie.”

He hadn't even realized that he was crying if  it wasn't for Hyunjin pointing it out and him trying to wipe Yeonjun's tears, but the the latter moved away from his attempt.

So that's it? You're gonna follow them and end this? End us?” Yeonjun looked at Hyunjin, tears falling down his face but he's desperately trying to stop them. “Hyunjin, 4 years! We've been together for 4 years and you're gonna waste that just because your parents told you to? Did you even think about how I'd feel? Did you even hesitate?”

“Yeonjun I told you I don't want to do this–”

“THEN WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!?”

Guilt slowly built their way up Hyunjin's being, watching Yeonjun break down and be broken like that because of him. No– he didn't want to this, okay? He wanted to be with Yeonjun every single day and be with him for the rest of his life but that couldn't happen. Even if he desperately wants to.

The reason?  ...

“Hyunjin, why?” Yeonjun was a sobbing mess at this point. Hyunjin couldn't even look him in the eye, it hurts.

A few minutes passed without the two of them talking, they were there, standing across each other but none of them dared to step forward and be close to the other. Hyunjin was crying now too, but he couldn't let Yeonjun know, so he tried his best not to face him.

Fuck, why was it so hard?

Why is everything so unfair?

“I know you're lying,” Yeonjun decided to break the silence and have enough courage to get close to Hyunjin and cupped his face. “Your parents love me you dumbass, they would never tell you to break up with me. So please, Hyunjin, tell me the real reason. I'm begging you.”

The latter was shocked. How could he have known he wasn't telling the truth?

He tried to speak up but nothing came out, he just stayed there, Yeonjun slowly letting go of his face. “Okay,” the older male let out a sigh.

“I'm gonna give you one last chance, you don't have to explain anything. We'd forget this ever happened, so please answer me honestly,”

Yeonjun closed his eyes, trying to composed himself. He then stared at the other guy, ignoring his aching heart and deciding it's worth aching as long as it's him.

He didn't want to lose Hyunjin. Even if it means he had to give up his pride and gulp down the pain to make his stay, he would.

“Do you still love me?”

“I love you, so much, Junnie.” Hyunjin truthfully answered, engulfing Yeonjun in a hug.

It could have made the older content and relieved if only Hyunjin did not say the next words.

“That's why I'm doing this. I'm so sorry.”

~~~
“What's wrong?”
Oh, Yeonjun didn't notice he was crying. He looks up at his three hyungs and blinks, grabbing a nearby tissue and wiping off the tears.
“Nothing,” he blows his nose. “The movie was just so heartbreaking, it moved me to tears. Anyway, I'm gonna go up my room now, I'm tired. Goodnight hyungs, and Jungkook hyung, thank you for the gifts.”
The three elders just stared at Yeonjun's retreating figure before sharing a look of concern with each other.
The movie wasn't even playing.
