Skipping School
Jessica had made herself so sick that she couldn't even get out of bed for school. Ann let her stay home and rest because she really needed it. After a long weekend of being in the hospital and going through everything that's been happening, she needed a mental break. After last nights scare Ann stayed with her throughout the night and stayed home from class to watch her and keep her company.
It's what she needed most right now. She had felt so lonely and abandon. She couldn't get her parents and Sam out of her head. They were a constant reminder of how terrible her life felt to her.
She waited and waited for a call or text from Sam, but nothing. She believed that him walking out yesterday truly was the end of their relationship. He ended it all. All of those years of love was over.
Jessica was curled up on the couch in and blanket and her pajamas. She had some tea as she watched some tv with Ann.
"Hey Jess?" Ann says to her
"Yeah?" Jessica asks
"You know... not that you're pregnant, I can't stop thinking about if it's a boy or a girl." Ann says
It had only been three days since Jessica found out but she never really stopped and thought like that.
Ann giggles and shakes her head. "I'm sorry. Bad timing?" Ann says
"No... I mean it's all so new I haven't even thought about it."
"What would you want?" Ann asks
"Gosh, I don't know? Aren't they all hard to take care of?" Jessica says
Ann laughs "Yeah... but imagine you having a little girl or boy."
"Well it will be one of the two." Jessica smiles
"I'm excited to be an aunt and be there for you every step of the way." Ann says taking her hand
"I wish everyone felt that way." Jessica sighs
"They will. I promise."

At school:
Jane walked through the halls like any normal day. As routine, she went to Jessica's locker right after fourth period so they could walk to study hall together. Jessica was always at her locker fourth period. But today, she wasn't there.
"Hey Jane!" Sarah says, she was Jessica's locker buddy and had all the same classes as her
"Where's Jessica?" Jane panics
"She isn't here today... I tried texting her to see how she's doing but she won't answer. Have you tried Ann?" Sarah says as she starts walking to study hall with Jane.
"I'll try... Jessica never misses school. I hope she's okay." Jane sighs
"I feel so bad after that whole Sam thing. She told me about it yesterday." Sarah says with anger. Jessica had filled Jane and Sarah in on everything but after last night, she didn't respond to them.
"I want to kill him."
When they get to the study hall room and sit down, they see Sam walk in.
He knew Jessica's wasn't at school either. He was too afraid to ask Jane and Sarah, so he walked past them like it was nothing and sat with his friends
Then, Jane gets a text from Ann. Ann told her everything. How Jessica tried to kill herself last night and how bad she was doing.
"Sarah, I have to drive to Ann's... Jessica needs me." Jane says standing up
"What's going on? Is she okay?"
Jane hands her the phone and Sarah reads the text.
"I'm going with you." Sarah says grabbing her things.
Before the teacher gets into the classroom, Jane and Sarah run out of the room to leave school.
Sam sees the two get up and follows after them.
"Hey! Where are you going?" Sam says
"Why do you care?" Jane hisses
"Is Jessica okay?" He asks
"No! And it's all because of you!" Sarah says as they run off and leave the building.

Jessica was still in the same place as earlier. Ann was doing homework when the doorbell rang.
"I'll go get it." Ann smiles
"Okay..."
Ann walks to the front door and opens it to see Jane and Sarah.
"Jane? Sarah? What are you two doing here?" Ann says
"We came to see Jessica!" They say walking in
"Guys! You have school! If mom and dad find out you left you're dead!" Jessica says sitting up
"I don't care. They can kick me out too." Jane says sitting next to Jessica
"Would you guys like Chinese to? We just ordered. I can call back?" Ann says
"Sure." Jane says
"Okay." Sarah smiles
"You didn't have to come see me. I'm fine." Jessica bluffs
"You're not. I can see it in your eyes..." Jane says
"We are worried about you." Sarah adds
"I mean I'm going through a lot right now. I just needed a day off, but I'm okay." Jessica says
"Ann told us." Jane says
"Ann!" Jessica says
"I'm sorry..." Ann sighs
"I told you not to do anything stupid!" Jane says
"Okay... I'm sorry. I was just really down yesterday, but I'm doing better. I just need to adjust to my new normal." Jessica says with sad eyes
"And it will get better." Sarah says
"Thanks for coming..." Jessica smiles
"Of course... we can't stay long because I have to pick up George and take him home. But we can chill for a while." Jane says sitting back
"What are we watching?" Sarah says
"Sex and The City." Jessica chuckles
Ann comes back to the couch and joins them.
"Oh! My favorite!"
Sarah and Jane coming over really showed Jessica how much everyone cared for her. Even though she felt lonely and lost, they made her feel secure and safe. She really had all the support she needed right in front of her.

Wednesday:
Jessica had went back to school the previous day and was feeling better. She saw Sam in the halls a few times but avoided him at all costs. She didn't want to look him in the eyes or talk to him. Jessica wanted nothing to do with him at this moment. She had Sarah and Jane with her throughout the days.
Today, after school Ann and Jessica were going to her first doctors appointment to see the baby. She was more nervous than excited. She didn't know how seeing the baby would make her feel.
As the last bell of the day had rang, Sam walked up to Jessica's locker.
"Hey...." he says quietly
Jessica ignored him as she packed her things into her bag.
"Talk to me." He says taking her hand
She rips it away and shakes her head.
"What do you want?" She hisses
"I want to talk to you..." he says
"I don't." She says slamming her locker and walking towards the doors.
He chases after her. "Jess, we need to talk eventually. I'm sorry for running out. I don't want things to end. I just had a lot to think about."
"I did too. And I still do." She groans
"Why don't we go somewhere and talk?" He says
Jessica looks at the door then back at Sam. "I can't."
"How come? I'll drive you back to Ann's." He says
"I have an appointment for the baby." She says
"Oh..."
"Do you want to come?" She asks
Sam pauses for a moment and clears his throat. He didn't know if he was ready for this big step.
"That's what I thought! Screw you sam! And don't follow me out the door!" She says storming off
Sam stands there and covers his face. Once again he had messed up.

"Jessica, right?" The doctor asks
"Yes." Jessica says nervously
This was her first time at a doctor like this. She was on a table without pants and a thin blue sheet covering her lower area. She was sweating and her heart was beating. Ann was with her holding her hand the entire time.
"Don't be nervous, okay? I'm going to start with the examination. Have you ever had one before?" She asks
Jessica shakes her head with tears in her eyes. She felt so violated and scared.
"It's going to be okay. This is just to check and make sure everything is okay down there! Nothing bad and it will be quick." The doctor reassures her
Jessica nods as she starts. It ended up not being that bad. Even though in her head she told herself it was the worst thing ever.
"Everything looks great, Jessica. Would you like to see the baby now? We can see how far along you as well."
"Okay... can you even see a baby right now?"
"You can always see something... and hear something too!" The doctor smiles
Jessica puts back on her pants then unzips then again so that the doctor can do the ultrasound.
She moves the Doppler around and Jessica stares at the little tiny monitor the entire time looking for something.
Then, she hears a bum bum... bum bum..
"What's that?" Jessica asks
"That's the baby's heart beat... super strong!"
"Ann... that's the baby's heart beat." Jessica tears up
"I know... isn't that crazy?" Ann smiles
"And there is your little peanut." She says pointing to the screen
"That's my baby?" Jessica cries
"Yep... you're measuring at twelve weeks, so you're pass the safe zone. Your baby looks very healthy and has a super strong heart beat."
"Oh my god... my baby." Jessica cries
"I know at your age it can be hard, but once being a teen mom myself, I can tell you that it's all worth it. Especially in moments like this when you see your baby."
