"YOU DON'T BELONG IN THIS PLACE!" Voices echo in her mind, shattering every idea of who she is supposed to be. A burning feeling encases her soul, rushing through her as though she's as breakable as glass. A strangled cry leaps from her bleeding lips, everything aches in this unfamiliar space. 'This space?' The world is fuzzy around her and she recognizes nothing where she lays.

'Laying?' She feels her hands reach for her eyes to wipe away the sleep keeping her vision distorted. As the room comes into focus, her brows scrunch as she surveys the room colored in varied shades of black and white.

"Where am I?" She mumbles, turning in the sheets, and finds herself face to face with another person. Her heart stops, she jolts up and fights the sheets entangled around her. She gasps, eyes wide as the woman in front of her sighs and nuzzles deeper into her pillow. She reaches out delicately, wary of this dream shattering around her. And when her hand rests on the woman's shoulder, she simply falls back onto the bed and pinches her arm.

"Oh thank all the gods this is real."

And she's terrified, her thoughts begin to run in every direction. Because well... 'Why am I shocked to see Natasha?' The woman in front of her glitches before her eyes and she whimpers, eyes slamming closed as a corpse takes the place of her love.

"Kristen, are you alright?"

A gentle hand takes hold of her cheek and Kristen sighs as she settles perfectly into Natasha's palm. They've always fit each other like how puzzle pieces always fit with their partners.

"Yeah, of course," Kristen mumbles, opening her eyes and grinning as she meets Natasha's own. 'She's here, she's in front of me. Everything is perfect.'

"Come on, we need to get ready!" Natasha grins, giving Kristen a quick kiss before jumping out of the bed and heading toward their closet. "For what?" Kristen grumbles, pulling the sheets over her head when Natasha opens the curtain blocking the sun from entering the bedroom. "To welcome Wanda and Vision, of course!" The redhead grins, plopping down on the bed, "come on sleepy head, I want to surprise them by getting there early!"

"Okay, okay," Kristen smiles and slowly climbs out of the bed. But her head is scrambling to remember when Natasha started caring about getting to a place early much less surprising anyone without a prank in mind.

" and this is why I don't use weapons! " H.

" because you have to carry the weapon and the ammo? " K.

" no! because you are always out of ammo! I don't think that it's possible for me to lose my fists! " H.

this fic is a part of the occursus ( falling ) series. the series contains my book freefall, a t'challa fic, which follows the avengers─endgame. it also includes my book missing spark, an ocxoc/peter parkerxoc fic, which follows spider-man ffh─spider-man nwh.
characters from the other fics will make cameos and appearances in each other's fics (their casting is the same).
the ending of endgame is altered in this fic as well as the standing of the mcu. however, that ending won't be disclosed until it's been written in freefall!!

let's live another fever dream, shall we? It Happened One Night / act one: a WandaVision fic starring Kristen Harding, an ex-widow who just so happens to be in WestView with her girlfriend Natasha Romanoff, and Hadley Vang, a young avenger who is sent by the remaining heroes to look into the WestView situation. / act two: a Hawkeye fic starring Hadley Vang, a young avenger who finds herself becoming involved with Kate Bishop's family drama and Clint Barton's sketchy past, and Kristen Harding, a heartbroken avenger who hears from another avenger that her dead-girlfriend's little sister is trying to kill her dead girlfriend's guy best friend and decides not to lose anyone else.

this fic is another fun idea I had that will be fitting perfectly with Missing Spark and Freefall!! Um genuinely excited to write this because of all the fun I'll be having with WandaVision and Hawkeye!!
I don't want to say too much about the fic, especially since this one relies a lot on what's going to happen in Freefall!!

the fic does start with this intro chapter and will dive right into episode one of WandaVision. this fic will heavily follow the episode order with subplots tied into each episode!!
