Chapter Eleven

Ever since the day Harry and Draco decided  on a committed friendship, they had been hanging out a lot more out of lessons.  However, they tried to keep their friendship on the down low.  If people found out that they were friends now...well, they didn't really know what would happen but they weren't exactly sure it was going to be something good.  Even if something bad didn't happen, people were for sure going to ask lots of questions and Harry had already dealt with similar stuff enough, he didn't need that too.

Harry and Draco were sitting on some grass in front of the lake talking about Horace Slughorn for no particular reason.

"HaRrY m'BoY!"  Draco mocked it a strange voice, sticking his tongue out.  Harry punched him.

"Shut up!"  He laughed.  Draco sucked his tongue back in his mouth and sat back resting on one of his hands while the other was gently placed over his waist making it look as if he was posing for a sexy photo shoot.  And he closed his eyes and smiled at harry it a witty way, turning his head to the side ever so gently.  Harry rolled his eyes still smiling.

"You know Draco..." Harry said in a shrewd way making sure to get his attention before sounding more serious.  "In muggle movies I've heard this term a lot...between two people that usually are in love.  That if one misses another then they could just look at the moon and basically they would be looking at each other."  He was still looking at the sky. Draco turned his head to look at Harry, his left cheek laying in the sharp grass.

"That's so iconic Harry."  He rolled his eyes.

"But..."   Harry sat up tangling his legs together.  This caused Draco to sit up on his elbows.  "You know Draco you just seem pretty lonely."  He said looking at the blond.

Draco sighed before looking the opposite direction of Harry.

"Because of the depression thing," He started.  "They did really want to be seem with me because they thought it might ruin their reputation...fucking gits. At least Blaise didn't.  He convinced the others to follow in his lead.  Fucking unloyal bastard." He rolled his eyes.

The Gryffindor grabbed the Slytherin's hand causing him to turn his head sharply to look at the brunette, sucking his breathe in.

"If you ever miss me you can look up at the moon."  Harry said in a straightforward tone.

Draco stared at him for a second.

"Don't get soggy Potter." He pulled his hand away.

"I mean it," Harry said quickly.

Draco pressed his lips into a thin line.

After a good ten seconds he finally said "Okay."  Before laying back down awkwardly.

Harry smiled before copying the move.

He looked over noticing how tense Draco was.  He was able to tell by his thumbs hitting each other and his lips still pressed together.  Without thinking, he grabbed Draco's hand again and he let their arms fall in between them. Malfoy quickly looked over at Potter and watched as he smiled at him like a goofball.  And though Draco rolled his eyes, he was still smiling.  And he couldn't help but hold his breathe as Harry used his thumb to trace circles into his skin.
