Chapter 2 : Mafia King V

"Even the devil was once an angel!"

A/n's POV

A big, giant black car, one of the most luxurious and expensive models, stopped in front of Kim's mansion.

The guards, dressed in black, rushed towards the car and opened the door with their heads low.

The car door opened, and the person who stepped out exuded an aura of authority and darkness.

A chill ran down everyone's spine as he emerged, his cold, dark presence palpable.

Mafia king V. His face was cold and stern, his jawline sharp and well-defined.

His eyes were as cold as ice, devoid of any emotion. His once youthful face had matured into that of a refined man.

His body was well-toned with broad shoulders and long legs, veins visible through his neck and the back of his hands, making him ten times more imposing.

He looked straight ahead with his head held high, commanding respect from everyone around him.

As he moved forward, everyone bowed their heads in respect. He entered his mansion, where every maid, along with their head maid, stood in a line, bowing in front of him.

He walked straight towards his king hall, his eyes resembling those of a lion. The door opened before him, and the guard announced royally, "The king is coming!"

The guards took their positions as Taehyung entered, walking like a king with an undeniable power. He climbed up the stairs and sat royally on his throne.

His throne, a magnificent piece of craftsmanship, was made of dark, polished wood, intricately carved with symbols of power and dominance. It was adorned with luxurious black velvet and gold accents, perfectly suited for a king.

The hall itself was grand and opulent, with high ceilings and chandeliers that cast a red glow over the room. The floor was covered in an exquisite Persian rug. The air was thick with an air of authority and reverence.

Taehyung sat on his throne with a regal posture, his back straight, one hand resting on the armrest, and the other draped casually over his knee.

His gaze was intense, surveying his surroundings with an unyielding confidence. He was every inch the king, commanding respect and fear from all who dared to enter his domain.

A well-toned, brawny man with the tag of Head Guard and Taehyung's right-hand man, Kim Namjoon, stepped forward.

He bowed before the imposing figure of the mafia king, Kim Taehyung, and looked directly into his icy eyes.

Taehyung, sitting on his ornate throne with an air of authority, tilted his head slightly, signaling Namjoon to bring forth the prisoner.

Namjoon nodded and commanded in a loud, stern voice, "Bring him!"

A guard emerged, dragging a man who was barely conscious, blood oozing from his face, one leg cutted severed and fresh blood pooling around it, creating a grisly scene.

The man's groans of agony echoed in the grand hall. Taehyung stared silently at the injured man, whose eyes, despite the pain, burned with defiance and a mocking smirk.

The guard released his grip, letting the man collapse to the floor with a sickening thud, his groans growing louder.

"Park Seo-jun!" Taehyung's voice was cold, dripping with disdain. "My dear friend! How's life been treating you after your little betrayal?"

Seo-jun managed a chuckle, his voice weak but filled with defiance. "Good, Taehyung! Surprisingly less painful than I expected."

Taehyung's smirk widened as he rose from his throne, each step he took resonating with authority and menace.

"Let's change that, shall we?" He leaned closer to Seo-jun. "Tell me, did you really think you could betray me and walk away unscathed?"

"I had hoped," Seo-jun spat, blood trickling from his mouth. "But I knew the risks."

"Risks? You have no idea what risks are," Taehyung murmured, straightening up. "Namjoon, bring them in."

Namjoon nodded and signaled to the other guards.

Two guards soon appeared, dragging a woman in her forties by her hair and a young man in his twenties.

Their screams filled the hall, echoing off the walls, as Seo-jun's eyes widened in horror. He struggled to get up, but his injuries made it impossible.

Taehyung watched with cold satisfaction as the guards forced Seo-jun's wife and son to sit in front of him.

"Kim Taehyung!" Seo-jun growled, his voice thick with desperation and pain. "Honey! Appa!" his family screamed, tears streaming down their faces.

"If you want to do something, do it to me! Why involve my family?" Seo-jun's voice cracked, his red-rimmed eyes glaring daggers at Taehyung.

"To make it more painful and satisfy me," Taehyung replied in his deep, husky voice.

"Your alone's death will not satisfy me, friend," he shrugged nonchalantly.

"No, leave them! I beg you," Seo-jun's voice broke as tears streamed down his cheeks.

"Sure, but first tell me who you are more involved with," Taehyung said as Seo-jun shook his head. "I can't say that, please," he begged.

"Tell me!" Taehyung demanded, as he grabbed Seo-jun's wife by her hair, making her whimper.

"No, wait!" Seo-jun begged.

"Say it, Seo-jun, or your family will be cut into pieces," Taehyung said, kicking Seo-jun's son hard from behind, making him cry in pain and fall.

"I'll say. But leave them right away," Seo-jun pleaded, desperation clear in his eyes.

Taehyung nodded for him to continue. "P-Park Ji-sung. He is planning to ruin you. He is Mia's father, who you killed, and he wants to take revenge for his loss. He promised me that if I helped him, he would help me gain your position as the mafia king." Seo-jun stuttered, eager to free his family from the mess he had created.

He knew playing with Taehyung was dangerous, but his own greed had risked his family's life.

"Where is he now?" Taehyung demanded coldly."He flew to Canada for his next step, knowing you must have found out by now," Seo-jun replied.

"Which step?" Taehyung asked, raising an eyebrow."I don't know. He just said to give your weakness to him, which is your sister. But I couldn't hunt her because of your guards. Now please, leave my family. I told you everything. They have nothing to do with this; they are innocent," Seo-jun begged, but Taehyung's smirk only grew.

"Is that so? But it's too late, my friend. You should have thought before betraying me and hunting my only sister," Taehyung said, and fear darkened Seo-jun's eyes.

Without a moment's hesitation, Taehyung drew his gun and shot Seo-jun's wife and son in the head, their bodies collapsing to the floor, blood pooling around them.

Seo-jun screamed in agony, his voice filled with despair. He saw his family dead in front of him. He was now shaking with rage as he looked toward him.

"Kim fucking Taehyung! How can you be so cruel?" he shouted, his voice echoing through the hall.

"Why did you kill them? You heartless monster!" Soejun said while breathing heavily as he had completely lost his sanity.

"This is why you're alone. How can someone love a beast like you who isn't even loyal to his own family? That's why you were left alone by her, like-"

Before Seo-jun could finish, Taehyung, in a swift motion, removed a gleaming knife from his pocket and slashed Seo-jun's throat, cutting his head clean off.

Blood sprayed everywhere, splattering the pristine marble floor.

Taehyung kicked Seo-jun's body, making it fall hard on the floor. "Bloody Mother fucker!" He said and breathed heavily, his eyes shot red with dark rage by what he said.

He stood there in pure devil form, making the guards shiver in fear.

"Clean this mess," Taehyung commanded in a deep, chilling voice, staring at Seo-jun's headless body.

The guards stood frozen, paralyzed by the gruesome scene."I SAID CLEAN THIS MESS!" Taehyung growled, and the guards flinched, scrambling to obey.

Taehyung turned and walked out of the hall, his heavy steps echoing as he made his way to his bedroom to clean himself.

The scent of blood lingered in the air, a grim reminder of his ruthless power.

-------

As Taehyung entered his bedroom, his eyes fell on the wall where their picture hung.

He moved toward the frame with slow steps, his hand lifting to caress her face but stopped midway, noticing his blood-stained fingers.

He didn't want to soil the frame. With a heavy sigh, he turned and headed directly to his bathroom to wash off the remnants of his violent encounter.

Meanwhile, Jisoo, who had been sitting on a bench in the garden for the past half hour, had heard the screams and witnessed what Taehyung had done.

She knew her brother well enough to understand he must be grappling with his demons.

Determined to confront him, she climbed the stairs and approached his room. Taking a deep breath, she knocked but received no response.

Without thinking further, she pushed the door open, a strong smell of cigarettes hitting her nostrils.

Taehyung sat near the window, blowing smoke into the night. Jisoo sighed, stepping closer to him, but he remained unmoved.

"You shouldn't have killed his family, Tae," Jisoo said softly, her voice filled with concern and sorrow.

Taehyung didn't turn to face her. Instead, he took another drag from his cigarette, the smoke curling around him like a shroud.

His silence was heavy, a stark contrast to the violence that had just occurred."They were innocent," Jisoo continued, her tone firm yet gentle.

Taehyung finally turned, his eyes cold and unyielding. "Innocent? In our world, no one is truly innocent, Jisoo. They were collateral damage."

Jisoo's heart ached at his words, but she refused to back down. "They were his family, Tae. They didn't deserve to die like that."

Taehyung's jaw tightened, and he crushed the cigarette in his hand, the embers extinguishing instantly.

"He betrayed me. He hunted you. If I let him go unpunished, others will think they can do the same."

Jisoo stepped closer, her eyes pleading. "But at what cost? You've lost so much already. How much more blood will you spill before it's enough?"

Taehyung's eyes flickered with a hint of pain, but it was quickly masked by his usual cold demeanor.

"This is the life I've chosen, Jisoo. There's no turning back now."Jisoo sighed, knowing that trying to reach the remnants of the brother she once knew was becoming more and more futile.

She placed a gentle hand on his arm. "Just... try to remember who you were before all this. Before the darkness consumed you."

Taehyung looked at her, a flicker of emotion crossing his face before it disappeared.

"That person is long gone, Jisoo."With that, he turned away, heading near her bed and grabbed a bottle from his nightstand. "I have work to do. Stay out of it."

Jisoo quickly intercepted, grabbing the bottle from his hand.

"Stop, Taehyung!" she shouted, her voice trembling with emotion.

"You can't keep drowning yourself like this. It's not going to bring Y/N back." Taehyung's eyes darkened, and he glared at her.

"You think I don't know that?" he said, his voice low and dangerous. "You think I don't feel this pain every single day?"

"Then do something about it!" Jisoo retorted. "Find her, fight for her! Don't just sit here like a cowardl and destroy yourself."

Taehyung closed his eyes, his expression softening momentarily. "It's not that simple, Jisoo," he whispered. "You don't understand."

"Maybe I don't," she admitted, tears welling up in her eyes. "But I can't stand by and watch you ruin yourself. Not after everything we've been through." Taehyung remained silent, his gaze fixed on the floor.

Jisoo, feeling a surge of desperation, stormed over to the picture frame and ripped it off the wall, shattering the glass.

Taehyung's eyes snapped open, focusing on the broken frame. "What are you doing?" he demanded, his voice trembling with anger.

"If you don't want her, then let go of this useless picture," Jisoo cried, her voice breaking.

"Stop clinging to the past and start living again. For your sake, and for hers."Taehyung stared at the shattered frame, the image of Y/N's smiling face piercing his heart.

He bent down, gently picking up the photograph, his fingers trembling. The pain in his chest was overwhelming, a constant reminder of everything he had lost.

"Leave, Jisoo," he said quietly, his voice barely a whisper. "I need to be alone."

Jisoo stood there for a moment, her heart breaking for her brother. She wanted to say more, to comfort him, but she knew it was futile.

With a heavy heart, she turned and left the room, closing the door softly behind her.Taehyung remained on the floor, cradling the photograph in his hands.

The tears he had been holding back finally spilled over, and he didn't wept, the sound of his cry echoing through the empty room.

Taehyung's POV :

Each drop carried the weight of regret and longing that consumed me.

Memories flooded my mind, each one a dagger in my heart.

"Taehyung! Answer me, why were you ignoring me?"

"Why? Does it affect you?"

"Yes, it affects me."

"I love you, Y/N. I'll always love you."

"You're mine, Y/N. Forever."

"And you're mine, Tae. Always."

"Shhhh, I ain't going anywhere, leaving you. I will never go, okay? I am with you forever. If I ever go, just come and bring me back, no matter what it takes, okay? Stop crying. I love you, Tae, and I'm never gonna leave you."

"I'm sorry, Taehyung, but our journey ends here."

"You betrayed me! I trusted you but you played with my feelings."

"You destroyed my life, Taehyung. You took away my happiness."

"You don't deserve anyone's love. You are a monster that I regret loving."

"I loathe you, Kim Taehyung. I fucking loathe you!!"

I stared at the photograph, remembering our memories as tears never stopped flowing.

The day Y/N and I first kissed, our playful fights, her laughter echoing in my ears, our dreams entwined with promises of forever-all shattered now, lost to my own mistakes and the unforgiving realities of our world.

Her venomous words still lingered in my heart.

As the night dragged on, the room grew darker, reflecting the emptiness I felt inside. I was left alone by myself.

A deep ache of loneliness gripped me, a void that no amount of success or power could fill.

Y/N's smile in the photograph taunted me, a cruel reminder of everything I had destroyed.

Suddenly, there was a soft knock on the door, barely audible over my sobs.

I ignored it at first, lost in my despair, but the knocking persisted.

Wiping my tears, I forced myself to stand and opened the door slightly. To my surprise, it was Namjoon.

His gaze held a mix of concern and determination as he looked at me, broken and vulnerable.

"Tae, we need to talk," Namjoon said gently yet firmly, stepping into the room without waiting for my invitation. "There's something you need to know."

I sighed heavily, leaning against the doorframe. I lacked the strength to argue or to push him away.

Closing the door behind him, Namjoon settled on the edge of the bed, his presence a comforting weight in the suffocating silence.

"I've been digging," Namjoon began carefully, his words hanging heavy in the air. "I think I know where Y/N might be."

My heart lurched painfully in my chest. "What do you mean?" I managed to choke out, my voice thick with unshed tears and the ache of longing.

"She's in Canada," Namjoon continued softly. "I've found reliable information. Tae, she's been there all this time."

Hope flared inside me, flickering amidst the darkness that threatened to engulf me. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" I asked, my voice trembling with a mix of desperation and disbelief.

Namjoon's expression softened with understanding. "While searching for Park Ji Sung, I traced his activities to Canada. That's when I also started looking for Y/N there. I didn't think to search there sooner, and I had to be sure before telling you."

The weight of his words settled on my shoulders like a burden too heavy to bear as I lowered mt head.

"What if she doesn't want to see me?" I whispered, the fear of rejection clawing at my insides.

"What if she's moved on, away from everything I've done?"Namjoon placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder, his touch grounding me amidst the storm of emotions.

"You won't know unless you try," he said firmly. "You've carried this pain for too long. It's time to face your demons and make things right."

I looked down at the photograph of Y/N in my hands, her smile frozen in time.

With a deep, shuddering breath, I placed it gently on the bedside table-a silent vow to confront the past and fight for a future I had almost destroyed.

"Alright," I managed, my voice steadying with newfound determination.

"Let's do this. Let's find her."Namjoon nodded, his eyes reflecting a mix of relief and resolve.

"We'll leave in the morning. Get some rest, Tae. You'll need your strength."

As Namjoon left the room, I sank back onto the bed, my mind reeling. A tumultuous mix of emotions churned inside me-hope, fear, regret, and an overwhelming longing for Y/N's forgiveness and love.

A dark smile crept across my face as I whispered to the empty room,

"Iam coming Y/N, and this time I will not let you leave..I will burn the entire fucking world down until I get you, and I don't care who gets burnt.
