"Axel you have to go!"I said pulling his arm trying to drag him.

"I don't wanna!"He objected. Whining like the child he was.

I honestly was done with this boy at this point

"You have to whether you like it or not!"

We probably sounded like toddlers as we went back and forth in the hallway.

But I wasn't taking any of his shit again.

"I'm not going!"He exclaimed trying to yank his arm away but I yanked it back forcefully.

"Yes you are!"I snapped through my gritted teeth.

"I don't even like Art!"

I stopped in my tracks to look him in the eyes.

"You what?"I asked giving him five seconds to take back the blasphemy he had just said.

"I don't like it."He mumbled avoiding my eye.

I didn't like that at all.

He knew how much I loved art and here he was trashtalking it.

I was irritated by this childishness and by the confusion this brought.

"I thought you wanted to be an architect!"I screamed at him.

"I lied."He stated honestly.

I was pushed back a little by his words.

"Why?"I know I know.

I've asked this question so many times but...how else was I supposed to get answers?

"I don't actually have a plan for life after school and I just wanted to cheer you up."

"What? You thought I wanted to be a plumber!"

He rolled his eyes and looked at me with a 'really?' face.

But that wasn't going to change the fact that I had no idea what he was talking about.

"I've seen so many of your paintings and drawings all over the school. It was obvious you liked art."

I awkwardly changed my footing not exactly knowing what to say.

"You...you noticed?"I asked feeling warm inside.

"It's hard not to."He stated smiling.

I could never ever get used to his smile.

"Let's just go."he said finally.

I sighed.

Yes...finally.

We can go to the most important place in the world.

We walked in briskly and I breathed in the sweet sweet aroma of fresh paint and glue.

The glue especially was my favourite because it was always being heated.

I spotted our delightful art teacher.

He was in an oversized labcoat, his frizzy purple-orange hair tied messily into a bun.

"Good morning Mr Bryce!"I exclaimed which made him jump up startled by my sudden outburst.

He nearly tipped over the clay pot he was making by his desk.

As he recovered he straightened his glasses and smiled at me widely revealing his ginormous buck-teeth.

"Hello Chloe!"He said waving and hopping in one spot.

Yes hopping.

On a pogostick.

Yeah...

I looked to the rest of the room and saw everybody sitting behind standing canvases.

I raced to the unoccupied one and dragged Axel with me.

We were very few this year, only 18 attending class.

Mr Bryce hopped around us all looking at our blank canvases.

"Is he always this nuts?"Axel whispered over my shoulder.

"If you mean is he always expressive? Then yes."I answered him following every bounce he made.

He was a fun man, always expressing his feelings.

"I love this thing!Boing!Boing!Boing!"

We all shared a laugh at his silliness.

"Alright class. On a serious matter...Ah!

"It is getting difficult for me to catch my breath."He said clearly breathless.

"I need you all to paint your feelings today. It can be as abstract and as surreal as you want it to be. Just express yourselves."

"Yes sir!"We all said whooping in excitement.

I sat on my chair and wore my white coat fastening the buttons carefully.

I turned to Axel who was struggling.

"Do you need help?"I asked trying not to laugh.

He glared at me and thought about it.

"Yeah."He admitted.

I stepped off and tried my best to help but his hands kept getting in the way.

"I can't help you if you're insisting on doing it yourself."I laughed at how ridiculous this looked.

All the buttons were in the wrong place.

"Well you're not exactly helping!"He laughed back.

"Tale of two lovers?"Mr Bryce said hopping past us.

I scoffed nervously, "Pfft...as if."

"This girl? Really?"Axel finished for me which made us laugh even harder.

I stepped back a little and laughed again.

He looked ridiculous.

I had buttoned his coat all the way to his neck making him look like a 19th Century toddler on picture day.

He gulped grinning widely trying to look unamused but I knew it wouldn't work out.

I stepped forward and undid two buttons then stepped back a little.

Better.

He looked better.

I sat back down and took a look at my palettes and brushes.

Today I had the extra thick brushes and bottles of paint at my feet.

I smiled and sighed.

This is home.

The Art room had always been my second home.

It was where I'd come to relax after a long and boring Maths lesson.

Nothing could ever ruin it for me.

I picked up the thickest brush and rolled up my sleeves.

It was time to wreak havoc on this city.

I decided what I wanted to paint so I took out the largest palette from below me and started to squirt out the paint.

I started with blue then black then red.

Just the basics.

I started to mix the paints and added my first layer of the lightest shade of paint.

I was completely relaxed till I felt his eyes on me.

I turned my head sighing.

"What is it Axe body spray?"

"Hm?Nothing...nothing."He stuttered holding his palette closely to him swirling his brush around.

The thing was it was empty, so I knew damn well he had been staring at me.

"I just really want to see you paint."he said after a while.

I smiled inwardly turning to face my unborn creation.

~later~

"What do you mean get an Art tutor!?!"Axel snapped at Mr Bryce.

I quite frankly thought that his art piece looked like a piece of crap done by a three year old.

I honestly had no clue what I was looking at.

Nobody knew what we were looking at.

We were all looking at it sideways from afar as he went on a rant.

I know trying to look at a picture upside down is ignorance but this...

This was a whole other piece of crap.

"I'm sorry Mr Grey but if you don't pass this class; it's goodbye to whatever dreams you ever had."Mr Bryce answered him calmy getting off his stick.

It was a necessary safety precaution because Axel was unpredictable in situations like these.

He was seething with fury.

Like damn, he kinda looked hot.

Damn my thirsty, single ass.

"What the fuck do I need a tutor for?For Art class?!Seriously?!It ain't even a real subject!"

His last words triggered most of us.

And by most of us I meant all of us.

Jules from the other end of the room sharpened the end of her paint brush slowly, shooting daggers at Axel.

Mr Bryce tilted his head shocked by his words.

Like a wild flame, something bright flashed in his eyes and they darkened.

Uh oh...

I knew that look.

"Axe run!"I tried.

He didn't move an inch, his jaw was clenched tightly.

"In my class and you say such blasphemy?!".

It's starting.

Oh no.

I warned the son of a bitch didn't I?

I wondered what flowers he'd like at his funeral.

Azaleas?

Marigolds?

Meh...probably dead roses.

Mr Bryce picked up a thick paintbrush and dipped in paint angrily then he ran it down Axel's dumbstruck face slowly.

It was soon painted in red in a very thick and silly line.

"Shit's about to go down."Meghan sang from behind me.

He opened his eyes furious, dipping his entire hand into a blue bucket and smearing it all over the furious teacher's face.

My jaw dropped to the floor as I witnessed this.

Shit's going down.

Shit's going down.

"Axel let's go!"I said through gritted teeth.

But then again, like always; he ignored me.

Why did he feel the need to prove something?

I mentally face palmed myself at the determination painted like the acrylic on his face.

It was going to be difficult to get it out.

Mr Bryce picked up a yellow bucket and let the paint pour out onto his head.

It splashed in slow motion down his head and dripped to the ground.

My mouth was open the entire time.

His beautiful hair.

His beautiful beautiful hair.

Ruined!

I was shocked and kinda hurt seeing all that paint go to waste.

And he didn't leave a drop in there.

"Oo."

Many from the crowd flinched seeing exactly what I was seeing.

At least I wasn't the only one.

Axel being an ego maniac obviously retaliated.

But first he wiped the paint from his face with force and picked up the blue bucket that was next to him.

And you probably guessed it.

He poured it onto the teacher's head.

This was getting out of hand.

He could get expelled for doing this.

I decided it was time to stop this and stop watching like the bored dumbass I was.

"Axel no."I said stretching out my hand.

I walked towards them briskly and I think at this point it was sorta obvious.

I was a clutz in my own right and this had happened so many times before.

I hadn't even gotten that far but here I was; history repeating itself.

Except it was a little more colourful.

"Woah!"

I slipped many times my arms flailing; falling backwards on the spilled paint.

They both turned to look at me, Axel with more urgency.

Yup.

This time I was surely going to die.

And the last thing I was going to see was Axe Body Spray.

"Chloe no!"He exclaimed but it was too late, I was already falling.

Falling to my pathetic death.

I knew it was going to end this way, with Axel being the cause of my death.

It was my fate.

My cruel and twisted fate.
