Ahmad and his dad were coming back from McDonalds, at night. They were going to a night carnival, taking the 'haunted' route; he called it the 'haunted' route (even though it was short-cut), because on the right side, there was a huge graveyard - and he had heard cringe-worthy stories about it. That huge graveyard didn't even look inviting. How so? The entrance's door was broken, and trees were planted side by side, all overgrown, and positioning shadows that over looked the dead bodies. It was as if the shadows were guarding it. And then to talk about the overgrown grass - it was waist-length grass.
Why was it so uninviting? Apparently because no-one dared to enter that yard. The workers that used to work in that small shack beside the yard, had fled, or something had happened to them. The mysterious disappearance had obviously caused stories to spread - all scary stories according to Ahmad. One was about a man named Jack; he used to work in the small shack. He only worked there for the money, and neglected that graveyard. He never cared for it.
On one foggy night, he was entranced to go into the yard, on his own. He was going pass the front entrance door, to the far corner, to a tree. When Jack stood in front of the tree....he suddenly disappeared. The story probably sounded fake to you, but to Ahmad it was true because there was a man named Jack who did work there, who mysteriously disappeared. What if that happened to Ahmad? No whereabouts.
Ahmad suppressed a shudder at that thought.
Suddenly he felt his bladder filling up. And he shivered - signifying to Ahmad that he needed to use the washroom. Unfortunately, there were no washroom facilities nearby, and seeing that he was half and hour away from the carnival, he had no where to go. Except near the graveyard. Which Ahmad never thought of - his dad did.
"Dad...uh, is there, a...erm, a washroom nearby?" Ahmad asked, slightly flustered. He started to jiggle his legs to 'hold' his bladder.
"No..." His dad answered, looking around. They were in the straight lane and then he turned right. He stopped when the traffic signal turned red. He was going to turn into 'Red Cross' road, which was where the graveyard entrance was located. He made a turn, and stopped, and parked behind a car. He then face his son's questioning face. "Since there's no washrooms, you should pee by a tree. Not in the graveyard, though." He pointed to a tree which was just off in the far corner, and wasn't in the graveyard - thankfully.
"Uh, okay. Thanks...I guess." He mumbled, getting out of the car. His father waited for Ahmad for about a minute or so, when Ahmad returned. "All good?" He asked, starting to reverse.
"Yeah." He answered, relieved that his bladder was now satisfied.
But little did Ahmad know that the tree he peed nearby....was that same tree that Jack had suddenly disappeared near.
