Prologue Part 7
(Just before we begin, I'm changing the text structure to be correct lol)
Your POV:
Blue skies were on the other side of the door. Bright sunlight was shining as well, blinding my eyes. There was a gentle breeze blowing through my (h/l), (h/c) hair, causing it to fly up and sway with the wind. One of the features was something that had changed my thinking process with one word screaming back at me... I stood in the grass, looking up in both shock and bewilderment.
"What the hell is that?!" I screamed as loud as my lungs could make me.
"Hey... (y/n) stay calm. Panicking will not make anything better. Take deep breaths," Rantaro replied, seeming a bit shocked by what was going on as well.
"How can I?! There is a fucking wall and cage surrounding this whole area! We are trapped here! How can we get out of here?!" I shouted.
I never really cussed in front of anyone. This was a shock to both Rantaro and myself. I started to panic. My hands made their way to my face, cupping my own cheeks slightly. Beads of sweat rolled down my face as I frantically looked around. It was no use. The cage surrounded the entire school.
A weight found it's way into my chest, causing me to fall on my knees. My eyes were strained, the sadness of the situation getting to me.
"RISE AND SHINE URSINE!" the multicolored bears yelled.
"Surprised about the cage, huh? I totally understand how you feel. The first one I saw it, my teeth and fingernails fell out," the red bear said.
"That's not a healthy way to react to a surprise!" The pink one replied.
"Byeow! But it's so awesomely huge! I can see why it's called the End Wall!" the blue bear announced.
I turned my head to look at the monokubs. The phrase "End Wall" made this reaction happen.
"End Wall...?" I asked in response.
"Normally, walls are erected to separate two places, right? But that wall is different. It represents...the end of the world," the yellow/orange bear replied.
"What do you mean? Why does this wall mark the end of the world?" I asked, my voice starting to get more frantic.
"...Hm? What *were* we talking about?" the yellow/orange bear asked, shifting his glasses.
"Huh? Was someone talking? Was I talking?" the red bear asked.
"...Bwee-heehee, hahahahahaha!" the blue bear giggled.
"STOP LAUGHING ALRIGHT?!" I yelled, "EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT'S GOING ON HERE!"
"There's nothing to explain. This is simply how it is, so please don't bother," the pink bear replied, "you can't get out of here. That wall has no entrances or exits, and it cannot be climbed or demolished."
"An Ultimate could probably climb it partway, but most of the time it's impossible," the blue bear replied.
"...But they could still sorta climb it, huh," the yellow/orange bear muttered to itself.
My eyes narrowed slightly. The look of sadness still on my face. I then let out a huge scream. The pink bear seemed to be scared by this. I yelled again, trying to call out to someone. All of the bears seemed scared by this. My hands balled up in pure frustration as I sighed heavily.
"Please, stop! You'll hurt your throat," the pink bear told me.
"You think my throat is worse... you're wrong," I muttered in response.
"No one can hear you, so I'd just stop," the red bear replied.
"No one...can hear us?" Rantaro asked, seeming unnerved about the fact on how I was screaming.
Rantaro dismissively looked to the side when he realized he wasn't going to get an answer. He looked deep in thought about something as the monokubs told us some information that was not relevant to our situation. They told us about the school being under construction. The rest of it was pointless before they disappeared.
I felt myself slip away slightly. Rantaro was too in shock to do anything. I felt as if my attitude made the situation first.
"How the hell can we escape a place like this?! It's impossible!" I screamed.
I was breathing heavily. I then heard something hitting the ground. It got louder and louder. It seemed as if they were footsteps. I was still on the ground, but that didn't stop whoever was approaching me. It didn't dawn upon me on what this person wanted until...
*smack*
A dull sound rang through the air as if it were in slow motion. A flash of magenta was in front of me as everything unfolded. This person's hand collided with my cheek in a very harsh motion. My cheek turned red as my eyes widened. I wobbled slightly, almost falling to the ground. What happened must've gotten Rantaro to quickly come back to reality. He ran in front of me, seeing if I was ok.
My hand made its way to my cheek where I was hit and touched it lightly. I would've cried from the pain, but I was still in shock.
"Don't ever give up! Make the impossible possible. I know it's against my code to hit a girl, but you needed some sense knocked into you!" a bold voice yelled.
I looked up to see a guy that had magenta hair in a style that either defied gravity, or took a lot of hair gel. His eyes were the same color, and he had a goatee. He wore a magenta jacket with the inside of it galaxy themed. He had two shirts under, one long sleeved, and one short sleeved. The short sleeved one had a red design on it. His right arm had his coat sleeve not on for some reason. His pants were magenta and he wore flip flops.
"Are you alright?," the guy asked, "I didn't hit you too hard, did I?"
I got up, my face facing downwards, hiding my expression. Once I got up, I looked at him, my cheek red from the hit.
"Why do you say I can't give up? Didn't you see that wall?" I asked.
"Yeah! I was about to ask that! Here let me... Geez... How'd they even make this big-ass wall?" He replied, dodging my question.
"Why are you not answering my question?" I responded, "we can't exactly esca—"
"What, are you complaining?" the guy once again said, avoiding my question.
"Huh? What do you mean?" I asked.
"Quit complaining and grumbling, or it'll turn into a habit," the guy told me, "besides, this cage is nothing compared to the vastness of the universe!"
"Can you stop avoiding my question!" I exclaimed.
"Oops, I haven't introduced myself yet. My bad," he responded.
"Oh my god..." I said, face palming in frustration.
"I'm Kaito Momota, Luminary of the Stars! Even crying children adore the Ultimate Astronaut!" The guy known as Kaito yelled.
I looked at him with a confused look. I already was pushed over the edge from the question dodging. This guy was almost as hard to comprehend as Miu and Kokichi. The look on my face was pretty annoyed.
"How 'bout it!? I'm an astronaut! Isn't that cool!?" Kaito shouted with a smile.
"I guess... I don't think I've ever been to space before. The only anime I've seen that has space in it is Space Dandy or Cowboy Bebop," I replied with a sigh, giving up on asking him for any more answers.
"Haha! You must be a pretty big nerd. Anyway, not just anyone can get up there!" Kaito replied with a thumbs up.
"Don't call me nerd..." I muttered.
"Ok fine..." Kaito replied dejectedly, "Anyway.... I am still in training as an astronaut,"
"So you must be a trainee then..." I replied.
"But I'm the first teenager to ever pass the exam!" Kaito said, "I mean, normally you need a college degree to even take the exam."
"Then how did you take the exam?" I asked.
"I had a friend who was pretty crafty... So I had him forge some stuff for me," Kaito replied.
"That's against the law!" I yelled.
"Yeah, I ended up getting caught. I was in pretty deep shit! But the people up top decided they liked me and let me in anyway. 'Course, I aced that exam too," Kaito explained.
"That's just reckless..." I said.
"Sometimes you gotta be a little reckless to make your dreams a reality! No way can I wait till after college! I wanna get to space as fast as I can! Everyone told me it was impossible, but I never gave up! Not for a moment! That's because...limits don't exist unless you set them yourself! There are no walls you can't get over! The same goes for that one!" Kaito ranted.
"So then Whats the plan..." I asked.
"Th-That's not the problem! And sorry for slapping you!" Kaito exclaimed before running off.
I sighed lightly and looked at Rantaro.
"He did have a point. You need to stop giving up so easily. Try to take him from example..." Rantaro told me.
"Ok fine..." I pouted, "but you seemed out of it until he slapped me."
"That's because I was shocked about the wall. Some of our actions tend to speak louder. Your words AND actions seemed to loud enough," Rantaro replied with a slight chuckle.
I rubbed my cheek lightly before smiling.
"I think I might just listen to him..." I muttered.
So I'm sorry that this took so long. I'm publishing a day early to make up for the couple weeks I didn't update. So I haven't gotten any fanart yet which makes me sad lol. I hope I get it soon. You all only have like two weeks left. And also I just bought Dr2 so I've been playing that. I'll update soon!-CRUSIFIXdroid
