Prologue Part 1

(This is a little note before the story starts. The ending is going to be a bit different then the actual game ending. I won't tell everyone what it is yet. Also there is no first memory in this version. That's a hint. Put your guesses in the comments below ^^. I hope you all enjoy this story!)

Your POV:

Darkness that's all I could see...... Darkness..... that's all that was around me at the moment. That darkness told me that I was trapped... trapped with my own thoughts.... my inner demons.
I reached out to a hand. A hand that belonged to no one.

'That's right! I'm an ultimate student...' I thought.

My eyes opened slowly. I could only see darkness. The only thing that was visible was three lines where ever I was in front of me with light that peaked through. I felt around what I was in. It was a tight confinement with four sides. I pushed in front of me, and suddenly the exit to the confinement swung open.

I rolled out of the locker, knocking into many items like a bowling pin before finally hitting the wall.

"Ouch...." I muttered, "that's probably gonna leave a bruise..."

I got up as a dizzy mess, still affected by hitting my head on the wall. I brushed my outfit off. I took a moment to analyze the clothes I was wearing. It was a (f/c) v-neck dress that was long sleeved. It went to my calves. On the waistline was a (sf/c) bow, and ribbon that wrapped around the waistline. I had (f/c) slip on dress shoes with (sf/c) bows on the tips. I had a (f/c) choker on with (sf/c) lace trim. There was a (f/c) oval charm on it with a (sf/c) Full Metal Alchemist symbol.

After looking at the clothes I was wearing, I looked around the room I was in. The room was futuristic yet old. There were desks with some sort of keyboard and touchscreen. In front of the room was an LED screen. Some of the desks and chairs were knocked over from me bumping into them.

There was a significant amount of vegetation growing in the room. Most of it was on the ceilings and the walls. There was red barbed ivy on the windows. From the look of the room, I was in a classroom.

I looked around for an exit. On the right side of the room was a door. I hastily walked to it, being a bit hesitant of what was on the other side. With shaky hands, I opened the door. To my surprise there was nothing there. It was just a hallway. I slowly stepped out of the room. It was a classroom. Classroom C to be more precise.

I went straight down the hall. The amount of vegetation growing increased. It was all over the walls, and all over the floor. It was like being in some sort of wild life thing. The only thing was there were no animals, and we weren't outside.

I noticed a staircase to my left. It was hot pink with polka dots that was a lighter shade of pink, and that had smaller polka dots that were yellow. I decided to go down the staircase.

'There has to be more than one person here right?" I thought.

I trotted down the staircase lost in thought. Once I reached the bottom, I noticed a hallway to my left. I was curious about it, so I went down the hallway. After going a little bit down the hallway, I noticed someone. He had green hair and eyes. His shirt was baggy and gray. It had many stripes of a darker gray. He wore baggy brown pants and regular sneakers. I decided to approach him.

'He might know what's going on..." I thought.

Once I got closer to him, I noticed he had many piercings in his right ear. His shirt also had a compass design on the front of his shirt. He had a chain on his right shoulder and a necklace on. His eyes held a nice soft look to them. He kinda looked like a playboy in a way.

"Hey..." I said to him.

What I said snapped his attention toward me. He gave me a gentle closed eyed smile.

"Oh, hey there. You got kidnapped too?" he asked me, "well, you look alright. That's good. Situation could be better though."
"Yeah... totally," I replied.
"Hey, let me ask you something..." he told me, while shrugging his shoulders, keeping a nice smile.

I looked at him and smiled lightly. He seemed like a calm and collected person aside from being a playboy.

"Do you remember how you got here?" he asked me.
"If you're asking me, then... you don't remember either do you?" I asked.
"Ha, you're the same way too, huh. You don't remember anything, do you?" he asked me.
"I may not remember anything, but I can tell you what my hypothesis is on what's going on," I said.

The look he gave me was a look of shock. That look he gave me told me that he wasn't expecting that.

"I'd want to know what you think of this situation," he said.
"Well when I woke up, I noticed many strange things. The place I woke up was a classroom that looked old, and futuristic at the same time. That tells me that this place has been left here to rot. I noticed a significant amount of vegetation growing in there as well. That proves that this place was here for a while. I also noticed red ivy on the windows. It seems like we are trapped. Since I woke up. I never saw a single exit," I explained.

He was shocked when he heard that.

"That's a pretty good theory. It actually might be true," the boy told me.
"Please don't flatter me... I'm only an otaku after all..." I said shyly.
"Even if we have a solid theory, that doesn't excuse the fact that everyone here is the same," he said disappointingly.
"Huh? Everyone?" I asked in shock.
"I asked the others what I asked you earlier. They all said they don't remember," he explained.
"So the others don't remember anything as well..." I said quietly.
"It's like... we all have amnesia or something," he told me.

I gave him a shocked look. I started to sweat a little.

"I don't think it's normal for everyone to have amnesia..." I said.
"Welp, I guess we're in a pretty abnormal situation then," he said.

This guy's face turned into a bit of a creepy smile. I backed up a little bit on reflex. His eyes were darkened as well. He gave me a creepy vibe at that moment.

"W-what?" I stuttered, "you might be right, but we also might just be confused.... I'm sure we'll remember eventually," I explained, being a bit creeped out.
"Or it could be group hypnosis, maybe brainwashing..." he said with the same creepy look.

His face then went back to a nice gentle smile. He was also shrugging a little bit.

"In any case... I hope we remember soon," he said, "otherwise... I'll end up the outcast."
"The outcast...? What do you mean?" I asked.
"To tell you the truth, how I got here isn't the only thing I don't remember. I also forgot... my own talent," he told me in frustration.

I looked at him in shock.

'What?" I thought.

My eyes then softened. I sighed lightly at what he said.

"Phew, I'm in trouble. I know I must have been some kind of ultimate..." he explained, "I just don't remember."
"Just because you don't remember your talent doesn't make you an outcast. If anyone is the outcast, it's probably me..." I explained.
"Why do you think you're the outcast?" he asked me.
"Well... like I said... I'm just an otaku. I only read manga and watch anime. There isn't really anything special about me," I explained.
"Well I already know one thing that's special about you," he said.
"What is it?" I asked him.
"Well you were able to make a hypothesis about what's going on here. Being really observant is a good trait," he explained to me.

I laughed nervously. I itched the back of my neck from being flustered.

"I guess you have a point right there. In any case. Is what you said true? About you forgetting your talent?" I asked.
"'Course it is. But then again, I don't blame you for not believing me," he said nervously, "oh... I never told you my name did I? It's not like... I already told you, but then I forget I did, right?"
"No, you haven't told me your name yet," I replied.
"My name is Rantaro Amami. I can't remember my Ultimate talent at the moment... but I promise I'm not a bad guy. Nice to meet ya," he said.

I smiled and repeated his name in my head.

'For someone who doesn't remember his talent, he doesn't seem to shaken up about it.' I thought.

"Oh yeah. I'm (y/n), (l/n), the Ultimate Otaku. I don't really think of it as a talent though," I told Rantaro.
"That's a cute name. Thanks for telling me it," he replied with a light smile.

He then gave me a serious look.

"... is it weird? That I'm not really bothered by the fact that I don't remember my talent?" Rantaro asked me.
"What?" I asked.
"You know, I'm actually kinda looking forward to finding out. I wonder what Ultimate I am... anyway, it'd be nice if we could get along. We aren't going anywhere for a while," he explained.
"I think we will get along. But we will have to escape soon..." I told him.
"... you really think it's gonna be that easy?" He asked,
"What do you mean?" I replied.
"Nothin'. Just a feeling. Haha, hey, don't worry about it, alright?" He asked me.

A part of me worried about what he said. I decided to change the subject.

"I wanted to tell you this. I really like your piercings," I said with a smile.
"Oh thank you," he replied.
"I know this sounds weird, but do you want to look around with me. I really don't want to go alone," I explained.

He gave me a bit more of a bright smile.

"Sure. I wouldn't mind," he replied.

I gave him a brighter smile. That's when we started to search for more people.

Hey guys! I decided to do part one of the prologue just Rantaro since he's one of the main people of this story. I thought this would be a nice starting point. I hope you all enjoyed!
