Chapter 3 Part 4: Angie's Lab Discovered

Your POV:

"By the way, (y/n)..." Kiyo told me, "would you like to lend your ear to the voices of the dead?"

What Kiyo told me sent shivers up my spine. I had no idea why he'd ask me such a question like that. What if he's starting to find out that I'm the one bringing people back? I don't know if Kiyo is the mastermind or not.
I had to get all of this off my mind. I left the room with the others, the cold feeling on my back that made me want to shake like a leaf.
"Kiyo said something pretty weird to you, huh?" Kaede asked.
    "Y-Yeah..." I replied nervously, "I wasn't expecting it."

Kokichi's POV:

"What if the crazy Anthropologist was hinting at something?" I asked innocently.
This seemed to get me a reaction from my beloved (y/n). Her eyes were widened slightly and she looked like she's seen a ghost. I decided to play my lying card to clear suspicion from me. I let out a cheeky laugh.
"I was honestly joking," I laughed, "nee-heehee you really don't take jokes well, do you? I would never trust a word Kiyo would say after he threatened to tear out my nerves!"
It seemed that my (y/n) sighed in relief. This caused a small smirk to invade my features.
'You just gave away that you are involved with this little conspiracy...' I thought, 'I will find you out... once I do that, I will break you into submission...'

Your POV:

I honestly was nervous about what Kokichi said, but then he stated it as a lie. I have no idea if I can even tell that he was joking.
I had no time to worry right now though... I had to finish what everyone expected me to do. I needed to discover these new areas. If I didn't do that... people wouldn't want to be around me anymore.
I decided to bite my tongue and move on. We all started walking through the halls once more. An area of the hallway we entered was red with some broken rock like patterns. It held a sinister feeling. It honestly gave me the creeps. There were a couple of corners to turn through, and soon enough, we made it to the other part of the floor. The first thing I noticed was some sort of Japanese gate like design with what looked like three hanging scrolls. These scrolls were blank which struck me as odd. Perhaps this was another area we could unlock, but that would be for the future to hold.
We moved through more of the creepy red hallway, and that led us to another area. This area looked like it was the end of the floor, but there was a door on my right.
The door looked like it had different colored splatters of paint on it. This led me to one conclusion. This was an Ultimate Lab, and it was Angie's Lab nonetheless.
I knew that I should investigate it. I mean she could probably draw fanart for me. This made my resolve.
I walked over to the door and I placed my hand on the doorknob. I tried to open the door, but the door was locked. I was questioning why it was locked.
"Oh... It's locked..." I said sadly.
My tone of voice seemed to make Rantaro chuckle slightly.
"Why do you want to go in so badly?" Rantaro asked.
"I was hoping Angie could make some anime art for me..." I muttered in response.
"Ah-haha, I kinda expected that," Rantaro laughed.
"Hey.. Sh-Shut up..." I pouted, a light red blush dusting my cheeks.
"Ohmygod can you two stop flirting!?" Kokichi suddenly exclaimed, pushing me away from the door.
The push wasn't enough for me to fall to the ground, but it was enough to make me stagger backwards.
"What the hell Kokichi!?" Shuichi exclaimed, "why did you push her!?"
"I'm wondering the same thing too. (y/n) did nothing wrong," Kaede replied.
Kokichi looked down at his hand with a laid back look. He was basically acting like he didn't push me out of the way.
"We have to discover the new areas. All (y/n) and Rantaro were doing was flirting," Kokichi explained, "I thought a little push would snap my beloved (y/n) back into shape."
"That still gives you no right to push me..." I muttered.
"I'm sowwy (y/n)!" Kokichi whined, "is there any chance you'd forgive little ol' me?"
I let out a sigh. Kokichi was acting strange. It was like he had some sort of malice for Rantaro and I hanging around each other a lot. I honestly had to forgive him for pushing me though. I can't hold on to the anger considering the situation we've been in for quite a few days now.
"Fine Kokichi..." I muttered.
Kokichi seemed to like this. He basically jumped on me like a small child, rubbing his face against mine as if her were cuddling some sort of teddy bear.
"I knew you'd forgive me! My precious (y/n) is soooo sweet and caring!" Kokichi exclaimed.
"Please get off me..." I muttered.
"But I don't wanna," Kokichi replied with an attitude.
Suddenly Rantaro pulled Kokichi off of me with pretty considerate strength. It was either Rantaro was very strong, or Kokichi was like a rag doll.
"She asked you to get off of her. Why don't you actually listen for once?" Rantaro asked with an angry look on his face.
This expression wasn't like any of his other darker expressions. This one looked very angry and it was directed at Kokichi.
'Is Rantaro jealous?' I thought.
I mean it did make sense. Rantaro never showed this expression, nor did he usually separate Kokichi and I.
This caused me to blush lightly. I honestly hoped I was right and he was upset with Kokichi and not me.
"T-Thank you..." I stuttered.
After I said that, Rantaro's eyes seemed to soften up. I smiled lightly at him gave a slight hug. He seemed to smile at this and return it.
"I honestly just don't get why he keeps attaching himself to you. It kinda makes me angry..." Rantaro admitted.
    'That's jealousy hun...' I thought.
"You say that like I'm not even here," Kokichi whined.
"Let's stop fighting and try to get in the Lab..." I replied.
"That reminds me!" Kokichi exclaimed suddenly, "this lab has some kinda rear entrance at the end of the hallway... But that was locked too."
This was a strange occurrence to me. The Ultimate Labs were normally not locked. Why was this lab locked? We were able to get into Kirumi, Gonta, Ryoma, and Kiyo's Labs were unlocked when we discovered them.
"Why is it locked though?" I asked, "that's what I'm trying to figure out."
"Maybe someone is inside of the lab," Kaede suggests.
"Even so, we can't get in with both doors locked..." Shuichi explained.
"Nee-heehee... Don't give up just yet," Kokichi explained with a large smile, "cuz I have a severer techn—"
The clicking sound of a door unlocking interrupted Kokichi. I guess Kaede was right. Angie was most likely in her lab as soon as we unlocked the third floor.
The door soon slowly opened, revealing the devout artist. She skipped out of the room with a cheerful smile on her face.
"Yahaaah! Can I help you?" Angie asked cheerfully.
"Angie!? You were in here?" Shuichi exclaimed in shock.
"Don't act shocked," Rantaro explained calmly, "this is Angie's lab, so it's only natural that she'd be in there first."
"Thank you for understanding Rantaro!" Angie exclaimed, clapping her hands together in sheer joy.
"I feel weird chatting out here, so let's all go inside already, okay?" Kokichi asked.
I facepalmed slightly from what Kokichi said. He was being very pushy as if everything here was his. He doesn't even respect my personal bubble most of the time.
"Come in, come in! Please come in!" Angie exclaimed.
Angie was still ever so polite. She invited us in, so our group walked in. The first thing I noticed when I walked in were the art supplies. There were many large cups full of paint brushes. There were probably enough in there to teach a large art class. There were splatters of what looked like black paint on the floor and walls.
There was a pile that looked to be cylindrical blocks. My guess was they were hard wax to use for sculpting. There were a bunch of sculpting tools everywhere. It made sense for an artist.I was wondering one thing though. Where the paint was kept?
I would have to look around more to find out.
"Angie... do you know why this room has locks?" I asked.
"Atua has spoken... He says this classroom was probably made for me," Angie said happily.
"C'mon Angie it's obvious..." I muttered, "it's a room dedicated to art tools. This is your lab."
Suddenly we heard the catchphrase of the Monokubs. We all knew that they were going to pop into the room any minute now. That was what happened when that catchphrase was used. They popped up into the art room with some sort of key.
"I will answer that! With my sexy, beautiful voice!" Monophanie exclaimed.
I instantly deadpanned at this. This was honestly just too much for me to even handle.
Monotaro and Monophanie were starting to argue about who would answer the question. Monotaro's memory was seeming to get worse, according to the Monophanie.
One of the threats Monotaro made honestly made me sick to my stomach. I wanted this to stop.
The two suddenly looked at Monodam before telling them they weren't fighting. Surprisingly, Monokid was silent too.
"So, what's up with the key?" Kokichi asked, basically ignoring what just happened.
"Oh, yes... Angie's the type of girl who can't focus on her art unless she's alone," Monophanie explained.
"I must shut out all people and noises so that I can be one with the great Atua," Angie explained, "Nyahahaha! Atua is much too shy to be one with me in front of people!"
'Why am I not surprised?' I thought.
Angie did explain to me in the past that "Atua" controlled her to make art, but I still didn't think of it as the case. I think Angie just has trouble focusing, but she uses her god as an excuse.
Soon it was actually revealed that the Monokubs knew everything about us because they wanted to be our friends. This honestly made me slightly nervous because they help with executions...
"I don't wanna be friends with you," Kokichi explained, "I'm only interested in Monokuma. I don't want to get friendly with knock-off products."
This infuriated Monodam because he wants everyone to get along with him. Angie was about to receive the key to her lab when...
"LET-ME-SEE-THAT-KEY," Monodam stated.
The green cub snatched the key from Monophanie and placed it above his mouth. He dropped the key, and swallowed it. The other three cubs were starting to freak out. Beeping sounds came from Monodam before his shade went to a dull green.
His excuse for swallowing the key was that someone could try any use it for murder. Keys are apparently mysterious to him.
Soon enough, the three remaining cubs carried the sick one away. I sighed in relief.
The only issue here was that Angie wouldn't get her key. If she works better alone, she'd have to lock the doors when she's in the room, and then unlock them when she leaves.
"So does that mean we can't get the key?" Kokichi asked, "what the hell...?"
"But I'm only gonna lock this door when I'm inside working, so..." Angie trailed off, "I don't care if I can't open or close the door from the outside."
"Oh, I guess that's fine then..." Kokichi replied with a smile, "by the way, those guys said they know everything about us, right? That's probably why this lab fits Angie's tastes so well..."
"Well no duh Kokichi," I replied, rolling my eyes slightly.
"Why are you so mean (y/n)?" Kokichi asked with a sad frown on his face.
A second later, that smile turned into a grin. He was lying again.
"Nee-heehee I was joking. I was going to bring up the point that this school was most likely made for us. That makes the most sense," Kokichi explained.
Kokichi honestly had a point there. I wasn't expecting him to actually say something that could help us. This started more conversation with Shuichi, Kokichi, Kaede, and Angie. I decided to investigate a little bit.
I looked at the lumps of wax first. Angie explained that they were used for wax sculptures. I already knew that much. They were so huge. How could she use all of this?
Angie explained that Atua uses her body to do the sculpting. It was a weird concept to say the least.
The next thing I looked at was the back door. It was different. Instead of a normal lock, it had a sliding lock. It didn't make any sense on why there was a different lock. It made no sense to anyone, even Angie.
With that... that was all I could really investigate in Angie's lab. It was time to look around more.
