Chapter 2 Part 11: Revealing the Magic Show
Your POV:
I woke up to the morning announcement. Something was weird about it this time though. Some of the Monokubs seemed to be eating something. It was very weird. The Monokub, Monosuke even asked what they were eating. Monodam told them not to worry about it. I'm surprised he's not anymore silent because of the blue one.
One thing was for sure... my body hurt from yesterday. I was forced to do fifty push-ups by Kaito, and now I have to do this workout thing every night. However, because of that, I had a good night's for the first time in awhile. Maybe it was the best sleep I've had since I've gotten here, so the soreness was good in a way.
One thing was on my mind. That was breakfast. I left the room with a light smile. I walked up to Rantaro's dorm room to greet him.
He opened the door with ease. He seemed very shocked to see me.
"You look very different, (y/n)," Rantaro told me.
"How so?" I asked, "I look the same as I did yesterday."
Rantaro shook his head at me dismissively. He was obviously putting down what I said. I wondered why.
"Your eyes... they look more focused on the present... not the past," Rantaro replied.
"Maybe that training with Kaito did more to me than I thought," I muttered nervously.
"Training?" Rantaro asked.
"Yes. Kaito pulled me out of my room to train," I replied.
"That's nice. He's trying to help you too. So, how about we get some breakfast?" Rantaro asked.
"You know I'd want nothing more," I replied.
"Then let's go," Rantaro told me.
We wound up walking together and taking on the way to the dining hall. It was a good way to pass the time on the way there. I always enjoyed talking to Rantaro. I enjoyed hanging out with Rantaro. He made me feel like I was important, and I even have an idea on how I will confess to him. Well it was Tsumugi's idea, but I was going to use that idea.
We made it to the dining hall a few minutes later. I noticed right away that everyone wasn't in here. I was really wondering why everyone wasn't here. Perhaps they were too busy. The people in the dining hall were Shuichi, Kaede, Kiyo, Keebo, Kaito, Kirumi, Miu, Angie, Himiko, Tenko, Tsumugi, Rantaro, and I.
"According to my calculations, not everyone has gathered today," Keebo explained.
"I think you can see that without any calculations Keebo..." I muttered in response.
"Geez, what's everyone else doing?" Kaito asked.
"It seems Maki has chosen to spend all her time in her Ultimate Research Lab," Kirumi explained.
"Why would she want to do that?" Kaede asked.
"I do not know," Kirumi replied, "I am not sure what she is doing in there, but she has no intention of leaving."
"What does the Ultimate Child Caregiver gotta do in her research lab anyway?" Miu asked angrily.
"Maybe she's hiding a bunch of kids in there that she's secretly taking care of!" Tenko exclaimed.
"What? She's not some stray dog on the streets raising pups..." Shuichi said nervously.
"I agree," Rantaro replied, "I personally think she's hiding something, but I don't think it's kids."
"I agree with Rantaro..." I muttered.
"Anyway... I also saw Kokichi and Gonta sneaking around together," Keebo explained.
"A couple of virgins sneakin' around sounds like bad news to me!" Miu scoffed.
"I don't think it sounds like bad news because of that..." I muttered in response.
"Ah, I saw Ryoma on my way here, but he said he wasn't coming today..." Shuichi explained.
"I see... Well, we don't need that guy around here till he's got his head on straight," Kaito explained in response, "tch... How did the famous Ryoma Hoshi end up like that?"
What did Kaito mean by "famous"? I honestly had no idea. I thought that he shouldn't judge Ryoma based on his opinion. Something bad must've happened to him to make him like that. Terrible things happened to me to, so I could relate.
"Moving along..." Tenko muttered nervously, "what...are those two doing? What is that?"
I looked over to see Angie in a praying stance. Himiko looked like she was also praying. What was going on?
"Hey Shuichi, (y/n)! Did you both sleep well last night?" Kaito asked.
"I slept very good. I thank you, but my muscles still hurt," I replied.
"I agree with (y/n)," Shuichi replied with a light smile, "I slept great, but my muscles are sore."
"That's what I thought!" Kaito exclaimed with a thumbs up," you both look refreshed! Totally worthy of being called my best bros!"
"Huh? Did you just call Shuichi and (y/n) your bros? When did you three become friends?" Tsumugi asked.
"It's no big deal!" Kaito exclaimed in response, "I'm just training them is all."
"A three way bromance!? Gross! I guess virgins are just magnets for each other!" Miu exclaimed.
'A three way bromance!?' I thought, 'Miu is very rude once again...'
It was kind of upsetting that Miu always has to pick on someone. I'm friends with them... it's not like I'm dating them. Miu needs to get her facts straight.
"N-No... It's not like they're using a stand or anything," Tsumugi said.
I walked over to Kirumi. I'm pretty sure she had a topic to discuss. I'm sure we all do. We have a lot to talk about.
"Neither of us has exchanged our motive videos with one another, correct?" Kirumi asked, "as long as murder remains a possibility, we must not watch those videos."
"You forget that I got my own video... I told you about it because I don't want to kill anyone..." I muttered.
"I know," Kirumi told me, "stay strong (y/n)."
"Thanks Kirumi," I said with a smile.
"It's nice to see that you agree with us Kirumi," Shuichi said with a smile.
"It's rare I hear you speak your opinion like that," Kaito explained.
"I do so to safeguard Kaede's request..." Kirumi replied, "Her request was that we all live. I know Kaede is alive as well, but as a maid I feel like I need to follow every request given to me. I believe this course of action will fulfill her request."
"Thank you Kirumi," Kaede said.
Kirumi smiled and told her that it was her job to be of service to everyone. There was one thing that kind of made me worry.
Himiko was still doing her praying. I think all of us knew Angie was behind this. Angie was the only one here who was devout, but now she's spreading it.
The next thing that happened was something I couldn't actually keep up with. It was confronting Angie about what was happening to Himiko.
Angie explained to us that she was praying, and Himiko said she was escaping reality to talk to Atua. It was escapism at its finest. Angie also hugged Himiko, telling her what she thought was going on.
I thought it was probably true on what Angie said about Himiko, but she shouldn't bring her god into it.
Angie told us that we should make this academy heaven on earth. We honestly had no idea what this conversation was turning into. That was apparently the divine message from Atua via Angie. She told us not to give in to our greed. This was weird even for me. I didn't like the situation, and Angie was telling us to just live her and not give in to our desires. Like seeing our families, friends, anything.
Angie then explained to us that she made some sort of divine plan with Himiko. She told Himiko to announce it because it'd make us very happy if she did.
"Nyeeeh, explode with excitement! It's finally happening..." Himiko explained, "The Amazing Himiko's Magic Show is finally opening!"
"A magic show...?" Shuichi asked.
"Don't worry, admission is free. Er, actually, I guess admission will just be your smiles," Himiko replied happily.
I was confused on why this was happening. Himiko explained that her magic made hearts happy across the world. She wanted to heal our twisted hearts, so she was doing this magic show.
Everyone was starting to become a little rowdy. Miu was acting excited about the magic show, but she kept saying she wasn't.
Himiko told us the magic show would be tomorrow morning in the gym after the morning announcement. That was easy enough to remember. I really hoped I'd enjoy this.
Angie and Himiko both left after introducing their show. It made me think that that's what made them come here this morning.
Everyone wondered why Himiko was this way now, especially Tenko. Keebo concluded that the motive videos weren't a part of it. Rantaro gave his idea too. Perhaps Angie convinced her to believe in her god. I defiantly agreed with that one.
I just wondered what good a magic show would do.
Before eating, we talked about the motive videos. We talked about how unlikely viewing each other's motives would be. I did agree on that, but part of me thought of a purpose on why it could benefit everyone.
If everyone knew each other's motives, we could see who was most likely to kill someone and stop it in time. It seems like everyone wants to keep people from watching their motives so they can't kill anyone, but they need to think about the other side of the coin.
That was my thought process anyway. After that discussion, we ate the breakfast Kirumi made for us. I really enjoyed he cooking, but I still thought everyone was taking advantage of her.
After breakfast, I went into my dorm room. I thought about what I could do.
"Maybe I can find someone to hang out with..." I muttered, "and if I can't find anyone, I'll just watch anime in my lab..."
I thought I came up with the best idea for time. If no one wanted to spend time with me, I could always watch anime. I could also dress up in cosplay. I could eat the Japanese snacks in my Ultimate Lab.
The more I thought about what I could do, the more enticing it sounded.
I exited my dorm and made my way out of the dormitory. I surprisingly saw no one around.
"Where is everyone?" I asked myself.
I honestly didn't know. I'm pretty sure everyone went their separate ways after breakfast. Angie and Himiko were most likely in the gym, preparing for the magic show tomorrow. Kirumi was most likely catering to people who never bothered to show up for breakfast. I don't know about all of the others. This did upset me.
I just decided to make my way to my lab as I entered the school. Everyone was doing their own thing. I didn't want to be a bother to anyone. I didn't want to seem like it was just about me.
I made my way through the halls of the school, climbing the stairs to get to the second floor. I knew exactly where my lab was.
I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard something. It came from the Classroom B. It sounded like two voices coming from the room.
I sauntered up to the door to get a good look. I saw Kokichi and Gonta there, talking.
"I'm telling you the truth Gonta. I love bugs, but everyone else hates them. This Insect Meet and Greet is a good idea on your part," Kokichi said, praising Gonta.
"Thank you Kokichi! Gonta wants to make friends love bugs!" Gonta exclaimed seeming slightly encouraged.
Suddenly the door slowly opened, revealing myself to the two in the room.
Gonta seemed to have some sort of power circling around him. He looked angry. This kind of scared me.
"Kokichi, Gonta, what's going on here?" I asked.
"Hey my darling. Gonta and I were just having a one on one talk," Kokichi replied happily, "Gonta, you know what to do."
Almost instantly, Gonta ran at me like a speeding freight train. I blacked out instantly, wondering what the heck they were talking about.
Another chapter done! So I have to call the fanart competition over now. I have a couple of entries. Since the Insect Meet and Greet is happening, the competition is over.
I'll start the competition for predictions or the 3rd chapter during the second trial.
Anyway! I hope you all enjoyed the chapter! Ciao!- CRUSIFIXdroid
