- His mother forced you two apart. 

Beverly:
- Her father was planning to do something awful. 
- She said hateful things making you cry. 
- She did it cause she loved you and didn't want her dad doing the same to you if he got a chance. 

Stan:
- He was moving. 
- You both thought it was a good idea not to try long distance.
