Hello~ I'm Nekomancer812, but just call me Faith for short, anyway I'm here to give you your monthly dose of Vocaloid Goodness so Let's Do This.

What I want to talk are the ones who make the magic happen. The ones who make the world of Vocaloid expand to even more broader horizons. Who give life to Vocaloids , who made Vocaloid what it is today. The composers.
Notable ones are Ryo , the composer of the ever famous song World Is Mine, MOTHY, composing the Seven Deadly Sins Series, and Otetsu, who has earned the title "Legendary Luka Master".
Those are just few of the amazing composers who have given us memorable and relatable songs that made the Hearts of Fans tremble. Inputting passion and precision into each and every and moving literally millions worldwide.
Ryo, the retired head of supercell, made one of the biggest impact in Hatsune Miku's popularity and in return the overall Vocaloid Universe. Without him making "World Is Mine" be sung by Miku and instead some other Japanese Artist then Vocaloid could have never been as recognized as now and probably faded in the past.
But surely with so many people acknowledging his work some might not know how hard it really is to make a simple Vocaloid Song, particularly the new listeners. While yes, using Vocaloid opens a new world of possibilities for music it would also open a load of hardships for composers themselves.
So what are the biggest obstacles for composers? Ryo himself answers this question in an interview,
"The process is a lot of trial and error. No matter how hard you work on it, sometimes it still doesn't sound organic. I love being a musician but sometimes the painstaking nature of the composing and recording process is more than most people could imagine. It requires a lot of patience."
If you're thinking that these people just simply snap their fingers then a new hit song comes out, then you are wrong. The process takes days even months and sometimes years and when it's meet with failure, that just breaks their hearts even more.
So I and many fans are grateful that they actually pour their time into every project and not just slap in any random Vocaloid and push some random buttons then call it a day. Or the fact that they didn't give up when their videos don't get recognized.
So the next time you listen to another breathtaking song written by our talented composers please take the time to acknowledge and appreciate the struggles they went to make this a reality. Especially this coming Health Day on April the 7th.
What is Health Day you ask? It's is a World Wide Event in which people understand, acknowledge and most importantly help others who are suffering from a multitude of health issues from Tuberculosis to Polio and everything in between. It is a really transparent and self-less campaign so I highly recommend taking part in it.
But why should this concern the community? Well because some of our most favorite songs are inspired by major health issues and are actually the main focus of most. And unfortunately because most of the fans and composers themselves are the ones who are suffering from these problems.
A prime example would be "Rolling Girl" sung by Miku and was uploaded to NicoNicoDouga. In which the lyrics talk about her (Miku) constantly asking permission to "Roll Again" and promises that it will be the last time she does so, but does it continuously in hopes that one day she might she might stop in the future.
After rolling so much he (Person In Video) in the ends hugs her and says "You must be tired,right?" and the final sentence states "I want to stop breathing...now". While there are many interpretations a popular one and the one I personally believe in is this;
Miku, having a terrible life keeps inflicting self-harm onto herself. In order to cope with the emotional and mental pain. Even if she says it will be the last time she still doesn't stop doing so. The other person in the video represents her Depression and in the end he caught up to her. Telling her that the pain is now too unbearable and to finally just kill herself. This song ends with her committing suicide.
