Earth day truly is a wonderful time of year; with blossoming flowers comes blossoming affections, especially within fanfiction works with Vocaloids in frilly attire and lighthearted spirit.

Romantic fanfictions, however, tend to have a bit of dullness within them when too many elements ultimately stain the youthful love we all like to see between two beloved Vocaloids.

Unrealistic characters, for example; with every Vocaloid comes patchworks of flaws. Making Vocaloids overtly "perfect" and too "sweet" leaves many with a bitter taste... Sometimes, a romantic book needs a sweet scoop of reality to perfectly bring the plot and quirky characters together.

The lack of conflict is also a major deal breaker in the light reveries of romance reads. The Vocaloids need some sort of trouble to happen that complicates their relationship with their beloved. Without bad things and conflict, after all, a fanfiction just feels...fake.

Lastly, the Vocaloids should develop character over the course of the story. Though they may be simple voice banks and strings of numbers, your fanfiction can make them soulful and lifelike. Love is what changes people, right? Especially voices so powerful, yet soft and sweet, that shipping with another has provided us all with some fluffy or angsty fanfiction...
