This song needs no introduction. The heart-wrenching tale between the two lovers in the song is a work of beauty and the melody used to accompany it even more so. If you're unfamiliar with the song, the story is of a couple who are simple country folk that are happy enough living with each other. The two met one stormy winter night when the man saved a swan from the cold, she later returned as a human and proclaimed her love to him. However, as the seasons fly by so does the husband's health and he falls ill one day. The wife now has to spend countless tiring hours, weaving until her hands are scarred and sore to be able to provide the medication for him. During this she continuously wonders if he'll still love her when she loses her youth, beauty, and even human form. Naturally, he does and states that no matter what happens to the two of them their love would last forever. This rendition, sung in the original language of the song, really brought that story to life. The emotions carried in the voices feel so real, and honestly can be considered better than the original.

The song in general is just really touching and it makes you kind of realize the kind of cruelty that we're all capable of causing. It also shows us the beauty in life and love and what you're willing to sacrifice for it all. If you haven't heard the song yet, it's about a female angel who was lost in life. One day, she came upon a girl who helped her find her way. Falling in love with her right then the angel desperately wanted to be with her because it was considered a 'sin' for her to love a mortal. Knowing this, she cut off her wings and tied herself to worldly desire to be able to express her love for the girl. The girl rejected her and instead married another man out of love and lust. This made the angel sad and upset which sent the angel's previous lover into a fit of rage, causing him to kill the girl. What he didn't know was the angel was still in love with her. Because of this, the angel gave her life to the girl; letting her live. The lyrics for this cover was beautifully crafted and represents the story perfectly. Not only that but the way they put the feeling of love, lust, and jealousy into their voices makes it feel so much more real and touching.

If this doesn't hit you right in the feels you are HEARTLESS. For some, you might pity the singer, others might get mad at her. Thing is- no matter how you feel towards the singer the song is so relatable and painfully real. The idea of love being unreal or fake is depressing yet it happens all the time. The song discusses what it's like to lie to a person and claim you love them when in reality that's just not true, and no matter how many times you try to tell yourself it's all perfect- it's not. In the end, everything is a lie. So the audio for the cover is honestly not the best, however the way the two sing it is absolutely beautiful. This was covered by two of the lesser known Vocaloid coverists and it's clear that with some improvement they can definitely produce wonderful content that would add so much more to the Vocaloid community.

It demands sacrifice, pain, and forgiveness to truly work- yet when found it's beautiful and alive.
