It's a wonderful Vocaloid world... Hello, there!! I'm kaitos_lost_scarf , but you can call me Kaito or Maika!! I, as many other Vocaloid friends, enjoy writing and reading fanfiction. However, as you read more and more, a trend of clichéd plots begins to surface.

Though this isn't necessarily bad, clichéd plots get predictable, and sometimes, hard to read. Many of these clichéd plots arise around Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day holds many clichés. However, one of the most pertinent plots is when one of the romantic Vocaloids in the Vocaloid fanfiction overbear the other Vocaloid with expensive gifts, a dress to wear, thousands of compliments, ect. Alongside being quite unrealistic (as these are typically set in high school alternate universes) this promotes the making of a Vocaloid Mary Sue (an overly perfect character in a work).

I suggest, to avoid a plot like this, to maybe have one Vocaloid give a simple gift to the other. After all, if they are highschoolers, then they are most likely, broke. Valentine's Day is a wonderful day for one shots and fanfiction, so I promote the use of fluffy fanfiction written fantastically that includes flawed Vocaloids!!
