What's up guys? It's Madilyn with tips on how to cosplay! Now, it is important to make sure you look like the Vocaloid you're going for, but you can't stress over that too much. Your goal is to portray Len, Miku, Kaito, etc., right? The urgent factor, then, is acting just like them! When you cosplay, you don't want to look like the girl/boy who is always worrying about how they look. That's completely out-of-character for ANY Vocaloid you want to cosplay as. If you don't feel like looking up research personalities on wikia, you came to the right magazine article! Here are a few external qualities I've found based off of observation via Vocaloid songs and wiki.

Hatsune Miku: She is one of -if not- the easiest Vocaloid to cosplay. She is portrayed as a bubbly, bright teenager who appreciates all of her fans. If you want, you can go for an "I'm more popular than everyone else," type for Miku. Or, if you'd prefer the over exaggerated type, there's always that route.

Megurine Luka: I see her as the "quiet" type. Then, as she gets to know you, her lovesick and kind side shines through. She's even in the mood for partying and having fun every once in a while.

Kagamine Rin: tsundere, Tsundere, TSUNDERE! Rin acts adorable and sweet for only a short amount of time. She can be sassy and sarcastic when someone pushes her buttons, or whenever she gets tired of the "cute" act. Her edge is what makes Rin, well, Rin!

Len Kagamine: The mirror image of Rin and vise versa is usually seen with her. That is, when he's not running errands for his mirror. He tends to come off as soft spoken and shy for the most part, and denies (or accepts, anyway you wanna go with) that he is a shota. But don't let that fool you, he can have an adolescent flirtatious side as well.

Kaito: A carefree guy who loves all kinds of ice cream! He considers himself cool and has his mature moments. But, for the most part, he has the tendency of being non observant and in his own little world.

Meiko: She is known to be a motherly type. Meiko's very straightforward and looks out for other Vocaloids. You could make her out as a strict, protective mom her one that wants everyone to have fun! That's up to you. When the day is done, Meiko likes to wind down with a bottle of sake.

At least, this is my interpretation of Vocaloid personalities. Your opinion and research may differ from mine. Either way, the main thing is to be the best cosplayer you can be by staying in character! I hope this helped you, fellow fanatics! I'll see you later.
