Chapter 2: Behold the forest [Part 1]
While walking in the forest, Lynal slowly became more afraid of this surroundings. The dark shade from the trees that blocked the hot glow and bright light of the sun. The sounds of leaves crunching beside me in the bushes that seem to hide the creatures who live there. Things got silent for a few minutes after getting on a new path, Lynal felt like something was following him. His trace of thought was interrupted when he heard the sound of rocks being pelted at him. Lynal stopped and quickly turned around to see a baby deer was following him.
"Oh, hi there neighbor. Are you lost?" Lynal asked. The deer got a slight nod and Lynal got a little confused. "Uh....You can understand me?" he asked again. "Lynal!!!" it shouted in clear voice and started walking forward and nodding crazily. Lynal started walking backwards and reached for his sword and then took his shield off of his back. He pointed them at deer and it started hopping forward towards Lynal. "Lynal!!!" The deer shouted again and grew twice it's previous size. " Back~Bambi!" Lynal demanded in shaky voice. The deer eyes started glowing dark green and his pupils a shade of grey. The deer snarled then growled at Lynal and they locked menacing eyes. " I guess its me and you, Deer!" he said gathering his confidence. The deer launched forward and bit his arm which caused a loud painful yell."Ah!"....Lynal slowly opened his jaws off his arm and kicked the deer in the throat. Gripping his arm and Lynal grit his teeth before giving a mean smug. The deer smirked and stood up on his hind legs and popped his neck. The deer got into a really familiar fighting pose. It resembled Thunderbolt's pose before getting into hand to hand combat. "Lynal!!!" It shouted while waiting and growled. Really confused Lynal dropped and got into his fighting pose, accepting the Deer's challenge. The Deer ran up and punched Lynal in the stomach and backhoofed him, sending him flying back. Feeling humiliated Lynal got up and hit the ground on the way up "Big Mistake!" he says getting back to his position. The Deer tried the same combo but Lynal blocked it and elbowed the Deer in his face. Seeing that Lynal knew how to counter that combination, he changed up his fighting pose into a another familiar. "Crescent" Lynal smirked while the Deer ran up to him with a attempt at a roundhouse kick which Lynal caught and punched the Deer in the snout and swept its legs. "That all you got?" Lynal taunted and the Deer kicked up and slapped him. Shocked by the slap Lynal the found him self I'm trouble as the Deer locked him a chokehold. Struggling Lynal elbowed the Deer in gut and freed himself, but it was short as the Deer pushed him onto the ground. He tried to crawl away but it grabbed his leg and dragged him and the ground and picked him up over its shoulder. The Deer tried to power Lynal of its shoulder but he landed on his feet. Chuckling Lynal ducked under the Deer's swing and the Lynal gave two quick strikes, one to the Deer's face and the other to its chest. Taking advantage of the stunned Deer, Lynal ran over and grabbed his shield then threw it like Captain America at the Deer's head. Knocked unconscious it returned to his natural size. Wiping his face Lynal grabbed his sword and walked over to the creature. "Can't have this thing running free" He says decapitating his former foe. His stomach rumbled a few seconds later and he smiled looking down at it. "Survival of the fittest" he says while eating it after cooking it properly.
Many hours past before he actually left the forest. At the end of the forest Lynal had a flashback of Colin giving the final orders before the final battle against Darren. Once again it thwarted by a fiery blaze as Colin caught on fire and everything melted. Standing in front of him was again the blazing overlord."Come on Hotstuff" Lynal taunted the overlord. It simply rose his hand halfway and a blaze of fire sparked in his hand. The air made it much stronger and turned into a spherical shape. "Let's turn it up" It said in a low pitched voice and threw at Lynal, who blocked it with his shield. His smirk was interrupted by the overlord carving symbols in the ground and air. The impact of the fire engulfed the surrounding trees as Lynal was knocked off his feet. Not wanting to let the momentum slip to his advisory, Lynal scrambled to his feet. The smell of burning grass filled the air and intoxicated his surroundings. Standing in the open was the 'demon' overlord waiting on Lynal's reaction.
Kicking up off the ground to his feet, Lynal leaped in the air in a attempt to cut the creature. In a act of retreat it disappeared into thin air. "Coward!" He said aloud placing his shield on his back. " I wonder why is he attacking me?" he thought to himself he continued on his path. Trying to get out the opening of the meadow. "Looks like I'm not really alone" he says as he wondered around something caught his eye. A light of a glowing object caught his full attention. He started towards it but as he got closer a wall blocked his path. "Weird". The wall was really tall and was covered with vines and blooming flowers. Random bones of fallen foe decorated it alongside the spiral top thingies. He walked around to his legs began to ache. Deciding to take a break, Lynal say up against the wall to rest for a bit. He struggled to stay awake for a bit as he thought about his situation. " Die! " he heard in a faint voice. Lynal peeked open his eye when something with wings picked him up and screeched like a hawk.
