Chapter 2: The Sea Witch's Deal

Pandora’s Point of View

The salty wind whipped through my long, dark hair as I stepped onto the dock, the scent of the sea filling my senses. My boots thudded against the worn wooden planks, and the creak of the ship moored nearby echoed in the eerie silence of the harbor. The Scarlet Tempest gleamed under the moonlight, its sails billowing like the wings of some great mythical beast. The ship’s presence was commanding, and for good reason—it belonged to Uma, the infamous Sea Witch and pirate queen.

I wasn’t here to waste time. I had a deal to strike. I had heard the whispers, the rumors of Uma’s growing power and her need for something more. She had ambitions—ambitions that aligned perfectly with my own. And tonight, I would offer her a partnership.

The crew was sprawled across the ship, either sleeping or sharpening their weapons, except for one pair of eyes. Harry, Uma’s right-hand man and the one who always seemed to have that gleam of suspicion in his eyes, was watching me. I could feel his gaze before I even turned to face him, but I didn’t flinch. The pirate's trust could be bought, but it wasn’t easy. I would need to show him I was more than just an ally. I was an opportunity.

I crossed the plank that led to the ship’s deck, feeling the creak of the wood beneath my feet. Uma was on the aft, her figure a silhouette against the starlit sky. She was everything they said she was—imposing, dangerous, and beautiful in a way that only someone who ruled the seas could be. Her blue-green hair glinted in the moonlight, a reflection of the water that lay below us, and her sharp eyes locked onto mine.

“So, the notorious Pandora Morningstar graces my ship,” Uma said, her voice a low purr that sent a shiver down my spine. “To what do I owe the pleasure?”

“I’ve come to offer you something,” I said smoothly, stepping closer. “Something that will make you the true ruler of these seas, not just a pirate queen.”

Uma arched an eyebrow, clearly intrigued but cautious. “Go on.”

I smiled. “I have power, Uma. Dark magic. And with it, I can help you steal what you’ve been after—the Fairy Godmother’s wand and revenge on mal.”

At the mention of the wand and revenge, Uma’s eyes flickered with something—greed, desire, ambition. It was enough to make her pause and consider my words. I stepped closer, the scent of saltwater and smoke filling my lungs. “With the wand in your possession, you could control Auradon, the Isle, everything. And I want a piece of that.”

Uma studied me for a moment, her lips curling into a slow, calculating grin. “You want to help me steal the wand... in exchange for what?”

“I want to be at the helm of your empire,” I said, not missing a beat. “You’re already a powerful pirate queen, but with me by your side, you’ll have even more. A true partnership. The seas will bow to us.”

Harry’s eyes narrowed as he overheard the conversation from a distance. His suspicions were evident, but I didn’t care. He wasn’t the one I was making the deal with.

Uma tilted her head, intrigued. “And what makes you think I need your help?”

I stepped back slightly, feeling the weight of the ocean’s presence as it crashed against the ship’s hull. “You’ve been looking for a way to get revenge on Mal for turning her back on the isle and you been wanting to rain down evil on auradon, haven’t you? You’ve been building your crew, but you need more. The Fairy Godmother’s wand is the key. I know magic, Uma. The kind that can get you what you want.”

Uma smirked. “And you think your magic can actually pull it off? That’s a bold claim."

I met her gaze without flinching. “I don’t make promises I can’t keep.”

She eyed me for a moment longer before motioning for me to follow her to the captain’s quarters. “Alright, Pandora. You’ve got my attention. Let’s see if you can deliver on your promises.”

I followed her into the cabin, Harry trailing behind with that same distrustful look in his eyes. He didn’t trust me—yet. I didn’t expect him to. He was loyal to Uma, but even he could see the opportunity. I wasn’t just offering power; I was offering a way to seize everything they’d ever wanted.

Once we were inside, Uma turned to me, her expression thoughtful. “I’m listening. How exactly do you plan on using your magic to steal the wand and get back at mal?”

I took a deep breath. “Mal has grown soft while being in auradon and now she has a weakness. Ben. If we get Ben here Mal will follow and we can use him to get Mal to bring us the wand"

I could see the gears turning in Uma’s head. She was calculating everything I had just said, and I knew she was considering the possibilities. “You’ve got a deal,” she said finally, a devilish grin curling her lips. “But if you betray me…”

“I’m no fool, Uma,” I replied smoothly, matching her grin. “I don’t betray those who hold the power I seek.”

Just as she was about to speak again, the door to the cabin burst open, and a figure stepped inside. It was a woman, tall and clad in dark, elegant attire. Her short white hair shines in the moonlight that came through the window, and her eyes were sharp, cold, and calculating.

“Pandora Morningstar,” the girl said, her voice dripping with authority. “I should have known you’d be here. Aligning yourself with Uma, I see.” Her gaze flickered to Uma, then back to me. “You have a habit of making dangerous choices.”

I turned to face the newcomer, sizing her up. “And you are?”

“Prudence Blackwood daughter of festus blackwood,” she said, stepping forward with a smirk. “You’re playing a dangerous game, Pandora. I suggest you be careful who you trust. Uma may be a pirate queen, but she has enemies.” She paused, studying me. “And I have my eye on you.”

Uma raised an eyebrow. “You don’t like this alliance?”

Prudence smiled darkly. “It’s not that. It’s just… I don’t like surprises.”

I smirked, finally understanding. Prudence Blackwood was no fool. She could see the danger in my deal, but she also saw the opportunity. “You have your own plans, don’t you?” I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

Prudence’s eyes glittered. “Always.”
