"Umpt, eh, no, wait," I grumble in my sleep. "Don't. You can't. No!"

I re-live the initial hit to our vessel and sit straight up in my sleep like a jack in the box.

Panting like a dog on a humid day, I swipe my hair from my brow. I close my eyes and put my hand on my chest. "Cripes."

In all the time we've been on this island I've been able to remain calm and clear-headed, for the most part anyway.

This morning, though...huhhh.

The energy is buzzing like a live current under the surface of my skin. I feel like...well, nobody needs to hear about that kind of...'stuff'.

A crane lands silently in the small oasis of water to my right. I catch a glimpse of it foraging peacefully, and a calm settles on my shoulders.

"Ok," I sigh to myself. "I can do this."
