The sky was ablaze with fire of setting sun. The warm shine of the moonlight was now slowly taking over. It was a beautiful evening. And here was Bani getting ready for the party.

She was dressed in a pink gown and her hair tide in a bun. She looked absolutely mesmerizing and her eyes today had that fire to burn all the evil eyes down.

Tapish - Bani.. You ready?

Bani - Yes..!

Bani and Tapish left for the event.

Tapish - Bani what is your plan?

Bani - The plan is that there is no plan..!

Tapish - What do you mean?

Bani - Let's see Tapish.. Whenever things are in our favor I will take advantage of it.. I am not sure of that particular moment but I definitely know that I won't let Veer bend down for anybody.. Especially not that loser..

Bani said and Tapish laughed.

Bani - Why are you laughing?

Tapish - You just sounded like Veer.. Calling him loser..

Bani - He deserves it.. (She rolls her eyes and Tapish chuckles)

They reach the party venue.

Tapish - Ready Bani?

Bani - Ready!

Both Tapish and Bani get in.

Veer had reached the venue. Since yesterday he was in an awfully bad mood. He was angry, hurt and upset all at once.

That moment was playing in his mind nonstop. She was like a drug for him and once you taste you you can't let it go. And if you do, you go insane.

That's what Veer was feeling, the feeling of insanity. Why did she have to do that ? Why would she play with his emotions ?

Didn't you plan to do the same. His mind said.

I didn't mean it. His heart retorted.

Maybe she didn't mean it too. Maybe she had her reasons.

For a change I agree with your pessimistic mind. His heart said.

Was he too harsh on her? He thought as his features softened. He knew this world was new for her but somehow her disbelief in him was torturing him.

Veer - Maybe.. It was for the best..! (He sighed and went to the bar counter)

Veer was about to take a sip of the drink when the door opened and someone walked in who took his breathe away.
It was her. His sunshine dressed in a pink gown. Looked absolutely
mesmerizing. Her minimal makeup and hair tied in a bun gave her an aristocratic look.

She is here!!

No that can't be true. He thought.
Was he imagining her? Was his next thought.

Veer - Daru peene se pehele hi chad gayi?

(Got drunk even before drinking?)

He frowns looking at the glass of wine.
While he looks back and finds Tapish walking alongside Bani.

Veer - Wait.. They are actually here.. !

That's when it hits Veer and he walks towards then in anger.

Veer - Have you lost your mind? What are you doing here!??

He shouted at Bani.

Bani - You look hot in anger...

Veer - It's so dangerous here... Wait what!!!?.. What did you just say..

Bani chuckled.

Bani - I said that you look really hot in this suit.... Prince.. (She winked)

Veer - What is this new game ?

He said being affected by her choice of words.

Bani - It's the game of.. (She whispers in his ear).. Desire, dreams and love..

Veer - Wh.. What!? Tapish what is she doing here? Do you realize what you have done? Council head and Aakesh Bhai are going to be here any moment..

Tapish - It was her call.. So yeah.. You both continue talking.. I have to take care of some stuff..

Veer - You both are insane.. Bani you have to leave..

Bani - I thought we are not on talking terms anymore..

Veer grits his teeth in anger.

Veer - Tapish tell her to leave!

Bani - Tapish tell him I will not leave!

Veer - Tapish tell her to stop being a stubborn kid..

Bani - I am anything but a kid darling.. (She smirks)... Tell that to him Tapish..

Veer - What are you high on? Ask her Tapish.

Bani - You!

She said and Veer looked at her. She looked seductive. Sensually beautiful. He gulped his saliva feeling her effect on him.

Bani - Cat got your tongue ? (She smirks)

Tapish - Well I really ship you two.. But being between two sexually frustrated human being is really frustrating.. So please let me go..

Bani almost laughs. Tapish leaves.

Veer - What are you planning?

Bani - You will see soon baby..

That's when the the council head walked in along with Tapish.

The council head was Preeta, often called the Queen of darkness. She was cruel but had her own set of ethics and morales. She was fairest of them all.

Aakesh walked with her. And they stood at the centre stage.

HAIL THE QUEEN OF DARKNESS!

Preeta - I am glad that you all are here! Today is a special occasions . We are here to honor our ancestors. All the clan heads and our King to be Prince Veer will present there Royal jewels to the Moon goddess at midnight. I hope you enjoy the party!

She said with a poignant smile and walked towards her room. Aakesh followed her.

Veer looked back as soon as Preeta left but he couldnt see Bani.

Here was Bani in a corridor listening to the devious talks of two pathetic beings.

Chandani - Our plan worked! (She smirked)

Jay - You mean my plan.. (He said pouring a glass of wine)

Chandni - Whatever.. But I must say you did a good job..

Jay - I am not a fool like you Chandani... To make stupid plans..

Chandni - I am not stupid.. I am the most powerful female vampire of the academy...

Jay - But still you are nothing in comparison to her..

Chandani - That slut..

Jay -Shut the fuck up! Don't talk about her like that.. She is mine... Only I have the right to talk anything about her..

Chandani - Ohh so now what you are also in love?

Jay - Nope but I am infatuated for sure. She is so naive and beautiful.. (He sips the wine)

She fell into my trap.. Poor girl loves her sister and even brought this jewel for me.. When she bled in front of me.. I almost lost control.. But that Veer saved the situation.. Now I am thinking how good would she taste in every way..
He said in a evil tone as Bani became disgusted by his thoughts.

Chandani - I don't care what you do to her.. Just keep her away from my Veer.. My love..

Jay - Love? Oh please.. You don't love him.. You are just obsessed..

Chandani - I am not like you ..

Jay - You are worse.. Atleast I accept I don't love her.. But you call your psychotic emotions as love.. If you loved him why would you cheat him?

Chandani - You don't understand shit..I am leaving

Jay scoffs and Chandani leaves.

That's when Bani entered .

Bani - Jay.. (She said softly)

Jay- Bani! You here.. (He said being surprised)

Bani - Why did you lie to me ? (She said being emotional)

Jay - Ba.. Bani.. I am so.. Sorry.. I didn't mean to hurt you...

Bani - But you did hurt me.. (She turned).. I started liking you Jay.. (She said and rolled her eyes)

Jay - Bani I was scared how you would react that's why..

Bani - Sorry Jay I can't do this right now.. I have to go..

Jay holds Bani's hand. Bani literally felt like breaking his hand but she knew she had continue this act to get a hold over that crystal.

Jay - Bani.. Please give me a chance.. I will make it up for you...

Bani - Can you be honest with me?

Jay - Yes..

Bani - Do you have the red crystal?

Jay - What?

Bani - You said you will be honest..

Jay - Ye.. Yes.. It's right here..

He said showing his pocket.

Bani - Jay you did... A GREAT JOB!

Jay's got shocked and then his face lightened.

Bani - I mean.. I hate Veer Singhania.. I always wanted to teach him a lesson.. So I guess this was for the best..

Jay - Really you aren't upset?

Bani - No.. In fact I am glad that I can be your Queen.

Jay smirks and moves forward to touch her face when Bani moves back.

Bani - Not so easily.. Come on I am really thirsty.. Won't you get me a drink?

Jay - I will get you a drink but only on one condition..

Bani - What..?

Jay moves forward and whispers in her ear.

Jay - That you will satisfy my thirst later.. (He winks)

Bani almost felt like vomiting by his mere words. How could a person be so Loathe worthy.

Jay went to get the drink and was back in a minute.

Jay - Cheers!

Bani - Cheers!

They joined their glasses as Bani wantedly dropped the wine on Jay's suit.

Bani - Ohh shit.. I am so sorryy..!

Jay - It's alright..

He opens the coat.

Bani - Give it to me.. You go clean yourself..

Jay nods and leaves.

Bani - Fool..

She thought and smirked as she held the crystal in her hand.

Meanwhile

Veer's eyes we're searching for her. He was really concerned. The party was filled with powerful Vampires and anything could wrong.

That's when somebody pats on his back.

Bani - Searching for me.. ?

Veer - You.. !

Bani - Well, I will take that as a yes..

Mujhe dhundhna hi tha toh dil main jhak lete.. Wahan toh mil hi jati..

(If you wanted to find me, you would have peeped into your heart.. you would have found it there..)

Veer - What is wrong with you ? You are acting... Weird.. Did you drink something or what ?

Bani - I already said it's your intoxication..

Host - Now we will have our formal ball!

Bani - Shall we...?

She said extending her hand.

Veer - I don't want to..

Bani - Ohh come on.. We practised so much for it...

She said and a distant memory hit them both.

The way Bani had held his hand. His one hand on her waist while the other entangled with hers. The way she had put her hand on his shoulder while they looked at each other.

The way they slowly moved im rhythm as they kept looking at each other. The moment was minimal yet somehow it was sensual.

Veer - And that's exactly why I don't want to dance... (He mumbled knowing very well the impact which she had on him)

Bani- You said something...?

Veer - I don't want to dance.. And I told you already I don't want to do anything with you...

Bani was a little hurt but she knew that he was hurt too.

Bani - Fine then... Chandani is coming your way and Jay is coming in mine.. I guess we have to dance with them...

She said and Veer looked at her.

Veer - Okay fine.. Lets dance..

Bani - You sure..?

She said with a teasing smile.

Veer - Yes..

He held her hand and pulled her on the dance floor. The music played while the lights dimmed.

Veer moves Bani around as his grip tightens on her waist. He pulls her closer as her back collides with her chest. He slowly moves closer to her face as their cheeks touch each other's.

Veer - Be honest sweetheart.. Why are you here?

He slowly grazes his lips on her cheek as she closes her eyes.. Feeling the proximity after a long time.

Bani - To return something that I stole.

Dilon ko lautana bhi mumkeen hein kya bhala?

(Can hearts be returned? )

Cause that the most precious thing that she had stolen from him. He thought.

Veer - What...?

Bani slowly holds his other hand and moves it to her bare belly. As their skin touch, the spark which they always shared was ignited. At that moment, they had forgotten everything. They just knew that they were in the arms of the person who were their lifeline.

Bani slowly out something in Veer's pocket.

Bani - The crystal..

Veer - So that's why you were here? Cause you were feeling guilty.

Veer turns her around to face him. As they continued swaying with the music. She slowly lifted her head as she gazed in his eyes. Those eyes that were screaming how madly in love he was with her.

Used to be kids living just for kicks
In cinema seats, learning how to kiss
Running through streets that were painted gold
We never believed we'd grow up like this

Those eyes which said that even when the light would go out, they would find a way to come out of even the darkness together.

Bani - Yes and No both..

Veer - What do you mean?

Bani - I was guilty that's true but I also did this because..

Veer - Because..

There faces were inches apart. He cups her face with one hand as he touches their foreheads together.

Bani - Because He hurt you.. And I can't see you in pain Veer..

Veer keeps looking at her.Her care and concern melting his heart.Nobody had ever told him something like that.Nobody had ever cared for his pain.

They then move a little apart as Bani twirls and falls in his arms.

Veer slowly lifts her back as they both keep looking at each other. They were both painted in each other's colour.

He was about to say something when the host was back.

Host - And now is the time we all have gathered here for..

The host said and Preeta along with Aakesh walked in.

Host - It's time to present the jewels..

All the clan leaders moved forward...

Veer and Bani look at each other. Veer nods and moves forward.

Chandani comes and stand beside Bani.

Chandani - Bani sharma... (She smirks)

Bani - Chandani... Kahiye kya madad kar sakti hu main tumhari..

(Tell me how can I help you?)

Chandani - Madad tumhe meri nahi balki apni karni hogi...

(You will have to help yourself, not me.)

Bani - We will see (she smirks)

Chandani - You know that's what I hate in you.. This attitude.. As if you are the best... And that is the same reason I want to put you down.. Beneath me.. Beg me to save you.. Beg me to spare you..

Bani - That's the difference between you and me Chandani. We women are queens and warriors. But true queens are those who fix each other's crown and not our each other down..

She says and moves forward.

Here, Jay gave a devilish smirk to Veer as he presented his class jewel.

Preeta - Prince Veer.. Present the crystal...

Veer moves forward and stays still for a moment.

Jay - What happened Prince Veer... Where is the jewel !

Veer - Exactly where it is supposed to be...

He said taking out the jewel.

The colour from Jay's and Chandni's face faded.

But Bani was surprised too because that red crystal was different to the one that she had given to him.
