Dai Ma's Character Sketch

She was basically the mere cook in Malhotra mansion. But due to some problems when Manik's parents were not their for him. Then Dai Ma was the one who had loved and cared him like his own son. With the time she became Manik's nanny. Dai Ma knew that Manik is a playboy she had tried many times to make him understand the importance of relationships but some scars can't be healed so soon and if belongs a childhood scar then it heal down with the time only. **Can't reveal whole Manik's past but you would know soon. Dai Ma's had made an entry so that Manik's past could be reveal down soon**

Manik had always asked Dai Ma to sleep in the comfy rooms whenever she used to visit him but Dai Ma used to prefer the servant compartment only.. Nandani asked Dai Ma to get fresh till the time she would cook the dinner. "Nhi puttar mere hote hue khana tu ku bnayegi! Jab tak mai hu tu aaram kr bss." said Dai Ma keeping her palm on Nandani's cheek...

"Dai Ma mai khana itna bura bhi nhi bnati hu jo aap phle hi dar rhe ho" said Nandani pouting making Manik and Dai Ma smile..

"Nhi puttar mera voo mtlb nhi tha" said Dai Ma sweetly..

"Toh fir done aaj toh dinner maine hi bnana h aur aap meri bat manoge, hai na?" said Nandani smiling..

" Nandani puttar tu bilkul Manik pr gyi h, bilkul uski tarah jidd krna" said Dai Ma looking at both Manik and Nandani.. Nandani and Manik looked towards each other but soon averted their gaze....

"Achaa achaa chaliye ab aap room mai rest kriye" said Nandani and holding her she make her walk towards guest room... But Dai Ma make her stop and said "Puttar mai servant compartment mai rhti hu yha nhi"

Nandani looked towards Manik for an answer for this and Manik said "I have asked her to shift to any of the rooms but she never listens."

"Bat manwana aata bhi h tumhe kya?" said Nandani sarcastically.. While Manik make a puppy face hearing this...

"Puttar uski glti nhi h, hmesha se vhi rhi hu na toh adat h meri bss vhi rhne ki ye bade bade kamre mainu nhi chahiye. Pyar hona chahiye bss puttar fir kamra chota ho ya bada usse fark ni pdta " said Dai Ma holding Nandani's hand..

"Dekho!! I have too tried but fir she use to say the same line" said Manik in his defense...

Raising her one hand Nandani asked Manik to be quiet and said "tum toh na rhne hi do hmare beech mai na hi bolo." Manik got quiet listening this, seeing this Dai Ma chuckled.

Turning towards Dai Ma, Nandani said "Dai Ma aapne bilkul shi bola.. Issliye room bada bhi ho toh bhi fark nhi pdta na ku ki you know na we love you. Ab aap chlo mere saath" She brings her in guest room all the time Dai Ma tried to protest but Nandani had her own ways...

Making her sit on the bed Nandani said "mujhe achaa lgega dai ma agr aap mere kehna manoge toh, manoge na?"

Dai Ma eyes were filled with tears. "No doubt Manik loved her as she had loved and cared him and was his nanny but she had done nothing for the girl standing in front of her then also the love she is getting from her after being a mere servant in this mansion shakes her.. Sure this girl was a gem and Manik is really lucky to have a girl like her in his life" thought Dai Ma..

Dai Ma kept her hand on Nandani's head and said "Meri Waheguru se yhi dua h ki tujhe hmesha khush rkhe".

"Dai Ma bahu k aate hi aap bete ko bhool gyi.. Not fair" said Manik trying to make a sad face.. "Puttar tere liye kya kahu mujhe pta h jab tak tu isske saath h *giving Nandani's hand in Manik's hand* tu khush rhega hmesha." said Dai Ma smilingly...

Holding Nandani's hand Manik smiles and said "Soo toh h Dai ma".. Nandani take out her hand from his grip and said "Mai jakar dinner k taiyyairi krti hu". Saying this Nandani left the room..

"Dai Ma aap rest kriye, mai abhi aaya" said Manik and he too left behind Nandani..

Nandani came in her room and saw that the whole room was like the way it was when she had last seen it. She was taking out her clothes for change when Manik too came there. "Thank you Nandani!" Manik said.. Nandani turned to look towards him and then taking out her clothes she asked "Don't think that I am here toh that means I am giving you a chance. I had came here basically to take all my belongings but then after seeing Dai Ma here I had thought to just wait till Dai Ma left. I am staying here not for you but just because of Dai Ma.. Don't have any high hopes!!"

Hearing this Manik face fell down but then composing himself he said "Thank you then also irrespective you don't have any relation with her than also you had thought about her.."

Nandani turned towards Manik and said "I am not heartless like you Manik, I just don't go on hurting people like you used to do."

"You can say what you want to say Nandani, I totally deserves this!! But than also I would try my best to gain your trust back before Dai Ma left" said Manik..

"Do what you want to do!" said Nandani and stormed to washroom taking her clothes...

"Manik Malhotra you have very less time to manofy her! Do something so that she is able to forgive you. But from where should I start yrr?" said Manik with worried face..

After changing her dress Nandani saw Manik now sitting on the bed. She then thought to prepare dinner fast as she is already late. She left the room and Manik followed besides her.. Nandani felt weird that why is he following her. Then chucking that away she came in kitchen and saw Manik was following her now also..

"Manik do you need anything?" asked Nandani finally turning towards Manik...

Manik nervously smiled and said "No, I was just saying why you are cooking let the servants prepare the food or I would order"

"No thanks Manik!!! thank you for having this thought!!" said Nandani sarcastically and started doing preparation of dinner.. Manik was now also standing beside her and was looking at what she is doing.

"What Manik? Jao na!!" said Nandani getting irritated...

"Umm may be I could help you out!!" said Manik with confused face...

"Help, seriously? Do you know how to cook?" asked Nandani...

"I don't know" said Manik nervously. "but I can learn it from you Nandu and moreover if we both would work together than dinner jldi ready ho jayega" continued Manik...

"Listen I don't need help from you, please go!!" said Nandani and started chopping onions...

Manik looked towards Nandani's face and saw that tears were coming out from her eyes. "Ssshh why are you crying? I am here only to help you! Please don't cry Nandu!" said Manik with concern..

"Huh!! I am not crying. These tears are because of chopping onions" said Nandani wiping out tears with the back of her hand..

"Ohh!! Then give this to me ye mai kr dunga. You would never chop these onions from now on." said Manik and started taking out knife from Nandani's hold...

"Manik you would not be able to do this na. Mujhe do I would do this in a minute!!" said Nandani getting pissed up as Manik had taken out knife from her grip..

"This is very easy!! I would show you how to do this!!" said Manik and started chopping onions.. But as soon as he tried to chop it the onion fell in another direction...

Seeing this Nandani shakes her head disbelievingly and said "Yhi aata tha tumhe? Hold the onion and then cut it!". Manik nervously smiled and said "yeah I was going to do that only."

Finally he started chopping out onions with Nandani's guidance. "Why these tears are coming?" said Manik and wipe out tears from his sleeves of shirt..

"Mujhe do tumse nhi ho payega Manik, you can't do these works" said Nandani getting annoyed..

"I would be able to do anything Nandu, if you would be there with me" said Manik looking towards Nandani... Nandani looked towards Manik who was looking towards her..

"Shit!" winced Manik...

"Kya hua Manik?" asked Nandani..

Manik didn't said anything and tried to keep his hands away from Nandani..

"Dikhao mujhe" said Nandani while Manik examined his hand...

"Nothing I think so " was saying Manik but Nandani hold his hand and saw that his finger got cut.. "Lg gya na cut!" said Nandani scolding him.. She open the tap and brings his hand under running water..

"Bola tha tumse nhi ho payega but nhi Manik Malhotra had to flaunt his skills naa.. Upar se dhyan bhi nhi de rhe the ki kaise cut kr rhe ho.. Kitchen k kaam krte waqt you have to pay attention aise hi cheezein hawa mai nhi ban jaati" Nandani was going on scolding him while Manik's attention was on Nandani..

"Nandani!!" said Manik making her stop..

Nandani looked towards him and Manik said "chota sa cut hi h bss, don't worry!"

Now Nandani realized that she had done blunder by showing her concern for him. She at once became stern and said "yeah!! Tum jao ab room mai, if needed toh Band-Aid lga lena.."

"I am okay and I would not go until and unless the whole dinner gets ready" said Manik smiling...

"Manik why you have to be always this much irritating? Ku nhi maante meri bat ek bar kehne pr? Hmesha bss apni zidd!" said Nandani putting out her anger on him..

"But I am only trying to help you na Nandu!! Please don't ask me to go!!!" said Manik very calmly..

"Mat mano, Kro apni marzi k!!" said Nandani and started cutting vegetables.. Manik saw Nandani is in very bad mood now but anyhow he had to do this. He buckled up himself and he also started chopping vegetables looking at the way Nandani is doing... He could see Nandani is glaring in his direction but he paid no attention to it..

After few minutes killing silence Manik asked "Now what needs to be done?"

Shaking her head Nandani said "Now we would add these vegetables in the pan."

"This seems to be easy, I would do that" said Manik happily.. Nandani signalled him to go on and as soon as Manik added few vegetables he at once back off sacredly as few vegetables came out of the pan due to heated oil. Manik asked "Why are they dancing like this?"

"Kyu? Ye nhi pta tha tumhe, tumhe toh sab aata tha na?" asked Nandani sarcastically and take the plate of cutted vegetables from his hand...

While Nandani was now adding the vegetables Manik said "Umm.. not sab kuch aata h, but don't worry in future I would be trained cook and then I would not let you do any of these work."

Nandani now hearing this was somewhat surprised may be happy too that Manik is seeing their future together which means may be he would try his best for her forgiveness and would not let her go. However she didn't replied anything in reply to this. Manik was looking at her face for somewhat reaction but then seeing her blank face his all hopes came crushing down..

Finally after a lot of struggle and with Nandani's guidance they were able to prepare the dinner. They place the dinner on dinning table and called Dai Ma. "Dai Ma how is it?" asked Manik as soon as she put the first morsel in her mouth...

"Puttar tu toh aise puch rha h jaise ki tune bnaya h ye" said Dai Ma amusingly...

"Dai Ma Manik ne bnaya h actually maine help ki h thodi but usually he had done on his own" said Nandani before Manik could say..

Dai Ma looked towards Manik and said "acha lga dekh ke ki tainu itni parwah h apni biwi ki puttar. Ab tu phle jaisa nhi h dekha shadi kr k seedhe raaste pr aa gya na. Issliye kehti thi tujhe shadi kr le"

"Kya Dai ma maine pucha tha kaisa lga dinner aap ko aur aap ho ki meri class le rhi ho voo bhi Nandani k saamne" said Manik with pout..

"Teri class mai ku lungi ab uske liye Nandani puttar h na.." said Dai Ma chuckling.. Nandani too control her smile listening this.

They did dinner by doing leg pulling of Manik. Manik was happy seeing Nandani and Dai Ma smiling and thought "Now this is called a happy family which I have always dream of". After dinner they make Dai Ma sleep in her room and then came in their room.

Manik scratched his neck and said "Nandani Dai Ma jab tak h can we stay in one room if you have no issues?"

"Yeah we can" said Nandani making the bed... Manik got happy thinking that finally now he would be able to sleep beside Nandani, he came to other side of bed.. Before he could sit down on bed Nandani asked "What do you want now?"

"Nothing Nandu!! Just going to sleep now!" said Manik..

"Then go and sleep yha bed k pass kya kr rhe ho?" said Nandani...

"Bed k pass aaunga toh hi toh I could sleep na" said Manik as a matter of fact..

"Excuse me! Don't tell me you are having a thought to sleep on bed?" said Nandani sarcastically...

"What? Are you trying to say like I am not going to sleep on bed?" asked Manik... "Better realization!!" said Nandani..

"But Nandu if I would not sleep on bed then where would I sleep?" asked Manik.

"That you can decide that either you want to sleep on couch or on floor" said Nandani sitting down on the bed.

"But Nandu we have already shared the bed when I was drunk then today why can't we share?" asked Manik impatiently..

"First thing Manik that day also I was not having a single thought to share the bed with you. I had slept on couch, don't know how I land on bed, credits goes to you only.. Second thing are you forgetting that I am in relationship with someone else? If you are then let me remind you that I am in relationship with Aryaman now and I don't cheat behind my partner unlike some people use to." said Nandani with a taunt...

Manik didn't know what to say further he just nodded his head and said "Sorry I just got forgot about that relationship thing! Don't worry I would not trouble you!!." Saying this he moved towards couch and lay down on it.

Nandani felt bad with the way she had treated Manik today. But she can't just give him second chance that soon she needs some time until she would feel that he actually deserve a second chance.. "This is not the way I should treat Manik, treating him like this or hurting him would not give me any satisfaction at all. I don't want to see him hurt that too because of me. Moreover, this idiot is not fighting back with me for treating him like this. He is quietly listening whatever I am blaming him for. This is making me feel more bad!! God what should I do? Kya kru mai iss ladke k?"

She was not able to sleep as she was fighting with her inner turmoil that whether whatever she is doing is right way or not. She turned towards other side where she could see face of Manik. Probably it looks like he was in deep sleep.

After looking his face for about few minutes she saw he was not comfortable on that couch. She get up from her bed and hold the pillow and blanket. Reaching towards Manik, she bent down and slowly she raised his head and adjusted the pillow under his head trying her best not to disturb his sleep. After covering him with blanket she gets up.

As soon as Nandani turned around Manik hold her wrist. Nandani got embarrassed and thought that now Manik would surely taunt her that after giving a lecture on relationship thing now what she was doing...

Nandani didn't turned back. Manik tilted his head on the pillow and said "Even though I have given you no reasons to care for a jerk like me. Then also why you are always concerned for me? How can you be so selfless Nandu?"
