Armaan found himself immersed in a world of longing and confusion after she had left the room.

He hadn't understood the depth of her pain his behavior and avoidance must have infected upon her until he experienced it himself. The overwhelming yearning for just a glimpse of her over the days that followed after the episode of her panic attack.  He yearned to catch a glimpse of her like a starved man in the desert starves for water.

The absence of her presence became an unbearable ache that consumed his thoughts and filled his days with a sense of loss. He missed her greatly.... Her radiant smile, her sparkling eyes, her bickering, the adorable faces she made, the comfort of her touch and the warmth of her presence by his side. He had became so used to her that his life felt empty without her presence.

It pained him to realize that she had started to avoid him, to retreat into a space where he couldn't reach her. Because despite everything, she had never done that. She had always followed him, yelled at him, always tried to make him understand the point calmly and had always fought with him and had driven him absolutely mad but despite everything, she had never pretended like he didn't existed

Every morning, he'd wake up only to find her gone, the scent of her perfume and body wash barely lingering in the room. Every morning he'd try to find her but she'd remain hidden, away from him.

2 weeks.

His heart twisted with a mixture of yearning and desperation at the thought. It's been 2 weeks since he last saw her.

He tried working from home as well in hopes to catch a sight of her but she remained hidden. He had tried searching for her but it was of no use because now their paths rarely crossed, their eyes rarely met.

He caught glimpses of her only if he was fortunate enough. Sometimes at dining table or sometimes in her sleep.

Even in her sleep, she maintained a certain aloofness, never allowing their eyes to meet for more then a moment.

He'd walk around in the mansion with hopes to catch a sight of her but she remained hidden, hidden away from his eyes just like she had vanished into thin air, leaving her to wonder where she hid herself away.

He closed his eyes leaning back to the couch, his thoughts were a tangled mess, a mixture of longing and pain overwhelming his senses. A sense of yearning gawked at his insides.

The complex mixture of emotions that tangled within him settled heavily over his heart causing a bitter taste to fill his mouth and tears welled up in his eyes.

As he claimed down the flight of stairs. He stopped midway, a shiver raced down his spine as he felt a gush of wind caress his skin, the familiar feeling gawked at his insides like always whenever she was near.

His heart started to pound loudly in his ears with a mixture of anticipation and longing.

Then as if by fate, their eyes met. Armaan,s heart started pounding widely in his chest as he met her gaze. The world around him faded into insignificance as he allowed her face to fill his vision, his eyes taking in every detail of her face like a man starved for water in the desert. It was like a moment suspended in time. He tried to read her eyes, tried to find the familiar warmth and affection he craved but found nothing. Her eyes were still void of any emotion.

She blinked her eyes and turned her head and the next moment, she was out of his sight.

Armaan blinked his eyes and his body jerked forward as he stumbled over a step, as if jolting out of a beautiful dream.

He held the reeling trying to stabilize himself. His heart ached with a sense of loss that was now familiar.... Way more familiar to him then he cared to admit.

Armaan walked upstairs towards his room, the task in hand forgotten as the familiar ache consumed him and his heart twisted with a sense of loss.

As he finished his work and sat leaning back on the couch comfortably. A sense of guilt gawked at his insides, his thoughts were a tangled mess, his heart ached, agony bled through him, the pain of her avoidance consuming him entirely and he closed his eyes feeling tears well up in them. Yet, Despite his resistance, a tear slipped down his cheek and clasped a hand against his throat, the air was suddenly knocked out of him as tears chocked him up and he tried to blink them back

Meri life tumhara koi project nahin hai Abhira jo tum usse theek kerne mein lag jati ho.

Kya chahati ho Abhira ke meri maa jo abhi tak mujhse theek se baat nahin kerti woh meri shakal bhi na dekhe

Yeh ghar nahin hai Abhira yahan achi vakeel banne ki koshish karo achi biwi nahin.

His eyes remained closed, his hands clenching into fists at his sides as a pang of guilt tightened his chest. The words hit him like a tidal wave and he stood up gasping. His legs wobbled as he rushed towards the romantic glass doors, his hands trembled as he grasped the doorframe, clinging to it with all his eyes, his eyes fluttered close as he tried to fight against the rising tide of emotions.

He gasped for breath, the sobs chocking him up, the guilt tightened it's hold on him, leaving him trembling in it's tight grasp and his knees gave out.

Yeh ghar nahin hai Abhira yahan achi vakeel banne ki koshish karo achi biwi nahin.

Kya chahati ho Abhira ke meri maa jo abhi tak mujhse theek se baat nahin kerti woh meri shakal bhi na dekhe

The way he dismissed her efforts, the way he pushed her away whenever she reached out to hold him, to comfort him, the way he walked over her efforts to make their marriage work, the way he shut her out.... It all roamed in his mind and a soft sob escaped him, echoing in the quite room.

The weight of his actions and words pressed heavily over him and he shook his head, his chest tightening as he pushed himself up holding back his tears. The moon cast a gentle glow over his face, a determined glint dancing in his eyes, despite the complex emotions that loomed over him like a heavy cloud. He was determined to bridge the gap between them.

I'll make up for everything I did. I won't let you go Abhira.

He said to himself with a shaky exhale. His legs wobbled slightly as he stood, clenching the doorframe trying to stady himself against the guilt that consumed him.

Midnight.

Abhira entered inside the room. Her footsteps soft, the faint scent of her perfume met Armaan,s senses who pretended to be asleep.

Abhira,s brows knitted together in a delicate expression of confusion upon finding Armaan clenching a pillow in a tight grasp.

However, she moved forward and held onto the pillow and was about to go but stopped feeling a gentle tug.

She turned, her eyes empty as she stared at Armaan who was holding onto the pillow in a tight grasp. The pillow hang between them, suspended in time.

Abhira blinked her eyes refusing him the pleasure of driving into her soul. Abhira let go of the pillow and turned to leave.

Armaan, sensing the opportunity of having a conversation with her slipping away, sprang into action. He rushed forward and enveloped her in a warm and vulnerable hug from behind.

Abhira,s muscles were stiff from tension, her body refused to melt into the warmth of his embrace. She stood there mute as if she couldn't feel anything.

Armaan came to stand in front of her and looked at her, his face crumpled as she looked down, refusing to meet his gaze.

Kuch kahogi nahin Abhira?

He asked, his voice breaking in anguish as he looked at her.

She stood mute, refusing to answer him, still not meeting his gaze.

Abhira please kuch bolo.

Silence.

His each call, each plea was met by silence. The silence hung heavy between them, his tears spilled over and she stared at him, her face void of any emotion as if she couldn't feel anything.

She turned and walked towards her side the bed and Armaan hurried towards her.

Abhira please mujhe maaf ker do.

He pleaded, his voice trembling.

At least mujhse baat toh karo.

She layed on the bed and closed her eyes turning to the side.

Armaan,s heart constricted painfully in his chest at her gesture, the guilt overwhelming him but he was determined to mend their fractured relationship.

Now it was his turn.

He thought.

He walked to the other side of the bed, determined and layed down and he turned to look at her.

She stayed silent and her hand moved to grab the pillows, arranging them between the bed as if creating a wall between them and then she turned to the other side, her back facing him. His heart shattered loudly in his ears at her gesture.
