Armaan entered inside the room, quietly, the weight of his emotions and their fight in the afternoon settling heavily over his shoulders. He looked around, a frown forming on his forehead upon finding the room empty. He heard the sound of shower.
So she's in the bathroom.
He thought and walked towards the bed to lay on the bed, his head ached from the stress. A mixture of emotions swirling within him
Suddenly he sat up as if something had jolted him. His eyes flew open, his heart pounding wildly against his chest with a sense of fear that threatened to consume him and he felt his stomach churn in discomfort.
She's still inside.
He thought, his heart started to pound loudly in his ears, a sense of unease washed over him as he heard the sound of shower.
He rushed towards the washroom, his heart pounding, the steady rhythm of the shower deeply unsettling him.
He gulped the lump that formed in his throat, his hands trembled uncontrollably betrayed the fear that gripped his heart in a tight hold and he knocked.
Abhira.
He called out, his voice soft but his heart pounding with fear.
Silence.
There was silence, a silence that had his blood running cold. His heart raced out of fear.
Abhira are you there?
He asked knocking the door, his heart pounded restlessly in his chest, the fear threatening to consume him whole.
Silence.
The silence was haunting, the steady rhythm of the shower had his heart pounding restlessly, panic gawked at his insides, his mind racing with possibilities, each one more terrifying then the last.
Abhira Kuch bolo.
He yelled out, the panic chocking him, his breath catching in his throat as their intense fight from the afternoon played in his mind.
His each harsh word echoed in his mind, the weight of his past actions settled heavily over his shoulders and his heart ached with a deep sense of guilt.
Abhira.
Silence.
His each scream, each call was answered by silence, a mixture of emotions swirled within him but the emotions were overpowered by a deep sense of fear and panic. He twisted the doorknob frantically only to realize that the door was locked from inside.
ABHIRA!!!!
He yelled out, the fear chocking him up and then without thinking, he rammed his shoulder into the door.
The door swung back and Armaan,s heartbeat stopped. The world around him blurred into insignificance. He was rooted to the spot unable to move even an inch. His mind raced trying to process the sight.
There, on the cold floor, Abhira lay motionless under the relentless stream of the shower.
ABHIRA.
He yelled out, his panic intensifying as he rushed forward and kneeled on the cold floor and held her motionless from in his arms. He shivered feeling her skin ice cold, the sight of her motionless from tore through his soul.
He picked her up in his trembling arms as he walked out of the washroom and spoke, his voice trembling with a sense of panic that had settled deep within him
Abhira ankhein kholo. Please.
He cried out, the guilt washing over him in cold waves that made him tremble but she lay there motionless.
Rohit and Ruhi who were passing by Armaan,s room heard his pleading tone and walked inside the room.
Their eyes widened. Rohit and Ruhi,s heart pounded with a mixture of terror and panic.
Abhira/Bhabhi.
Rohit and Ruhi yelled in unison.
Ruhi rushed to Abhira,s side, panic gripping her heart in it's tight clutches.
Abhira.
She called out, her voice trembling with worry. She gently touched Abhira,s cheek and gasped upon finding her skin ice cold.
Abhira no.
Armaan,s voice trembled as terror gripped him. He held her hand tightly and leaned in, brushing his forehead against hers and felt her breath fanning his chest.
An overwhelming sense of relief washed over him and he held her hand with surprising force.
Abhira please open your eyes. I'm sorry.
He cried out desperately, the guilt and pain chocking him as he watched the women he hurt so deeply, the women he loved more then anything in this world laying in front of him motionless.
Bhai call the doctor.
Rohit yelled, an edge of panic in his voice pulling him out of his dazed state.
Armaan,s hands trembled uncontrollably, betraying the storm of emotions swirling within him, guilt, anger, hurt and a feeling of self looting crashed over him with crushing weight threatening to consume him whole
Bhai call the doctor
Rohit,s words were sharp as Armaan wasn't responding because the fear had gripped his heart in an ironclad hold
Armaan,s hands trembled violently and the phone slipped from his grasp. The sense of dread and guilt overwhelming him and his knees gave out, causing him to fall on the ground with a loud thud.
Bhai.
Rohit rushed to Armaan,s side, kneeling on the floor beside him, his touch on Armaan,s back was soothing, meant to comfort him, an effort to ground him against the turmoil ragging within him.
I failed Rohit? I failed her.
Armaan cried, his voice breaking with anguish, the guilt and pain overwhelming him.
I pushed her away when she needed me the most. I distanced myself from her.
Armaan cried out, his voice breaking, the words came out chocked with emotion.
Bhai sambhalo apne aapko. Bhabhi ke liye.
Rohit said instead, his words, a grounding force against the turmoil.
A while later.
Ruhi had changed Abhira in comfortable clothes and was sitting beside her gently tapping her forehead, her touch warm and comforting, her heart aching with worry
Rohit explained the situation to the doctor on the phone, his words trembling out in a rush
I'll be there
The doctor said, his tone calming
Rohit rushed out of the room after explaining to Ruhi what the doctor said.
Ruhi,s heart raced and her protectiveness kicked in, the sudden need to shield Abhira from the pain overwhelming her and she sprang into action, her heart heavy with worry as she covered Abhira in blankets, her movements delicate and tender, filled with a care that could make anyone,s heart swell.
Outside, Armaan was pacing back and fro, his heart constructed rather painfully, pounding in his ears with a mixture of fear, guilt, panic and an overwhelming sense of dread.
Rohit was trying to calm him down but, he couldn't stop the guilt that consumed him. The 3 months of their marriage and the weight of his actions felt like a bitter pill to swallow.
His heart pounded wildly in his ears as the weight of his actions came crashing back. He stepped back, stunned as the weight of his actions crashed over him with crushing weight.
He gasped, his behavior and the weight of his actions settled heavily over him, binding his heart to an unbearable ache.
Meri life tumhara koi project nahin hai Abhira jo tum usse theek kerne mein lag jati ho.
He shut his eyes tightly, a sharp gasp tore from his lips as he stepped back in surprise from the force of his words.
Tum kya chahati ho ke meri maa jo abhi tak mujhse theek se baat nahin kerti woh meri shakal bhi na dekhe.
Yeh office hai Abhira, yahan achi vakeel banne ki koshish karo achi biwi nahin.
He shut his ears tightly, his own words cutting him deeper then he cared to admit.
Did he truly believe that she was a burden? Did he truly believe that she was the reason of his mother's behavior towards him?
No.
The answer was no. He had said those words in anger but they had stayed with her forcing her to reach her breaking point.
His mind traveled back to the memories of how she had poured her heart and soul into their marriage, how he had shut her out, fighting with her, blaming her for anything and everything, how he had fought with her, pushed her away. The memories felt like a bitter pill to swallow and he sank down on the floor, his heart heavy as he cried out, the guilt that now consumed him was suffocating.
The words were ringing in his ears like a haunting melody, each word tore through his soul. He cried out, a fresh wave of tears spilling over as the pain that Abhira had went through pressed down at him, threatening to suffocate him.
