Maybe it's not that great but inline comments chahiye mujhe 🥺

Abhira composed herself, her hand cradled his chin drawing his gaze to her.

Per ab main hoon.

Abhira said softly, her eyes filled with determination making his heart skip a beat.

Later!!!

103!!!

Abhira exclaimed and palmed her half opened mouth in shock and looked at Armaan.

Armaan looked at her with a  natural face and shrugged his shoulders

Zyada nahin hai.

Armaan said, his voice was heavy and throaty because of the fever trying his best to not to appear vulnerable in front of her.

Abhira looked at him and crossed her arms across her chest.

Haan haan yeh toh bahot kam hai haina?

Abhira asked sarcastically narrowing her eyes.

Haan. Kam hi toh hai. Itne bukhar main overtime kerta hoon main. Bahot himat hai mujhme.

He said in a matter of fact tone crossing his arms across his chest.

Her heart ached hearing him and she gazed at him with tear-filled eyes. Pain etched across her features.

Are re.

Armaan cradled her face in his palms, the feverish heat of his hands against her cheeks sent a wave of contentment through her but the pain lingered in her heart. She met his gaze.

Mazak ker raha tha main. Warna 103 bukhar mein log bistar pe na ho, ya toh hospital mein.

He said with a small laugh. Her heart ached and tears burned her eyes, blurring her vision. He was laughing and saying that it was a joke but she knew that it wasn't a joke.

She looked at him, cradling his face in her palms and said, her voice a soft whisper

Yehi raho main aati hoon.

Abhira said and stood up hurriedly and rushed towards the door. As Abhira was about to twist the doorknob, she stopped and said without turning

Don't you dare move.

She said, her voice holding a gentle warning.

Within few minutes, she was back with some biscuits and milk. She sat in front of him and said, her voice a soft whisper

Kuch kha lo.

Nahin khana.

He said with a soft shake of his head.

Kyun?

She asked softly, her eyes filled with boundless concern.

Kadwa lagta hai.

He confessed, his voice barely above a whisper because of the fever. A bitter taste filling his mouth.

Per Armaan khana toh padega. Important hai na theek kaise hoge phir.

She said, her voice a soft whisper and she looked at him.

Tum khilaogi?

He asked, his inner child coming out.

She nodded her head in positive, her eyes brimming with a delicate sheen of tears.

He opened his mouth and she smiled feeding him the food.

Armaan smiled softly. He was gazing at her intensely. The way she was taking care of him was making him feel scared. He was scared of being attached to her, scared of the care and tenderness she showered on him. His heart felt torn. The desire of her care and tenderness was overwhelming. While the other one, the cautious and gaurded one that had been hurt once because of Ruhi,s betrayal, whispered warnings of becoming too reliant, too attached to her. The fear of abandonment that was hidden deep within his heart seemed to come out by her care. The cautious part of his heart painted various scenarios in his mind that if he became to attached with her then how will happen?

How will you fill the void that'll be left behind after she'll leave you? Imagine her dying like your mother.

His mind countered. Just imagining the pain that'll be left behind made his heart tremble in his chest. He wanted to say something but nothing came out of his mouth. His tounge had left the power to speak.

Tears burned his eyes, a sense of abandonment washed over him in cold waves, his chest tightened. He could feel the darkness closing him in once again. A sense of emptiness filled his heart

Nahin....

He mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper. His vision turned blurry and the trauma of the visions almost overwhelmed his senses.

Armaan.

Abhira called out, her voice filled with worry as she cupped his face, her hands trembling with a mixture of fear and tenderness. A wave of dread washed over her. She felt a cold shiver race down her spine as she watched him close to getting a panic attack.

Armaan could feel his anxieties raising. The visions which looked close to reality were too overwhelming to bear. His heartbeat stopped, his breathing rose. He couldn't feel anything. He couldn't hear the sob Abhira let out. The visions playing im front of his eyes like a movie.

Armaan.

Abhira let out a trembling sob. She cupped his face tighter. Her heart stopped beating as she watched him having a panic attack. She hugged him unable to bear the weight he seemed to carry over his shoulder and rubbed his back. Her heart aching with the weight of his pain.

Armaan breathe. Sans lo. Main yehi hoon.

Abhira said, her voice soft yet filled with panic.

I ca....n't

Armaan chocked out unable to breathe.

Calm down. Hold for four (4). Exhale for eight (8)

She instructed softly, placing gentle kisses over his hair.

I can't.

He chocked out, the darkness closing him in. His breath raising more.

Tum ker sakte ho. Try again.

She said, her voice a ray of hope amidst the darkness that closed him in.

He nodded his head, burying his face in the crock of her neck and followed her breathing technique.

When his breathing turned normal, Abhira pulled away from the hug but not completely. She gazed at him, pain etched across her features. She cupped his face, her touch hesitant but tender.

Armaan kya hua tumhein?

Abhira asked, her worry evident.

Woh mumma...

Armaan trailed off, not knowing how to complete the sentence.

I won't.

She promised already getting the hint that it must be related to his mother. She didn't cared what happened in the past with him. For now her priority was him. She needed to cure him from his illness and then she'll mend his trauma.

Dawai kha lo.

She said softly passing him a pill and holding out a glass of water out for him.

Armaan made a face. Abhira looked at him surprised.

Kya hua?

She asked unable to hide the surprise in her voice.

Kadwi hai.

Armaan said childishly. Just the thought of having the medicine had him almost vomiting.

Per Armaan important hai.

Abhira said smiling softly at his childish behavior. He was behaving like a child in front of her.

Jab main nahin thi tab yeh kaise deal kerte honge bukhar ke sath? Ya phir dehan hi nahin rakhte thy?

Abhira thought. She imagined Armaan working like a robot even during his fever and it made her heart ache even more for him.

She remembered whenever she used to fall ill, Akshara used to become all the more protective for her, staying awake the whole night, checking her fever time to time, fulfilling her every demand, she used to whine childishly for something and Akshara would go to above and beyond to fulfill her every wish.

But was it the same in Armaan,s case? He lost his mother at a very young age, no one cared about him except his father.

Abhira had always observed that how Rohit was the pampered child of the family while Armaan was the neglected one. She couldn't help but think about the worst possibilities.

Kya Armaan ki koi bhi pasand ki cheez agar rohit ko pasand aati hogi toh kya woh cheez Armaan ki bajaye Rohit ko de jati hogi?

She thought. Just the thought of Armaan sacrificing his happiness for Rohit had her heart stuck in her throat. She felt chocked with sobs. Her eyes brimmed with tears.

Armaan reached out and wiped her tears away with a tender touch.

Ro mat please. Bimar toh main hua hoon.

Armaan exclaimed, his voice as soft as a feather.

His gaze flickered to the medicine and he sighed thinking that she was upset because he refused to take the medicine.

Okay main medicine le leta hoon bas tum ro mat.

Armaan said, his voice soft as he gulped the medicine down his throat with water.

Abhira looked at him biting the inside of her cheek to hold back a sob. Her heart ached for him. He was ill but still was caring about other. He was truly selfless, too good for this family.

Main aati hoon.

She said rushed out and came back and forwarded a chocolate to him. He looked at her for a moment, confusion evident in his eyes.

Dawai kadwi thi na.

Abhira said softly smiling at him. Armaan took the chocolate from her hand and started eating it.

He layed down on the bed. Abhira sat beside him. She couldn't stop herself and and burried her hand in his hair. She couldn't help but sigh, marveling the softness of his hair. Her touch hesitant but tender as she ran her fingers through his hair, occasionally scratching his scalp as her heart swelled with tenderness for him.

Armaan,s eyes fluttered close, a sense of belonging washed over him in cold waves. Her touch was tender making him feel loved and valued in a way that he had never felt before. A sigh of contentment escaping his lips as sleep took over him.

Contract yaad hai na?

Her mind said to her, reminding her of the deal between them.

Narak main jaye woh contract.

Abhira said, her voice filled with bitterness.

She gazed at Armaan, her eyes filled with warmth and tenderness. She bent over and planted a tender kiss on his forehead.

I'm not leaving my husband.

Abhira said, her voice soft but filled with determination as she continued to run her fingers through his hair.
