Ishqi was in her room, she was fighting thousands of emotions. She knew leaving was the right thing to do yet her heart objected. Ishqi was a bit hurt that Ahaan hadn't come to say goodbye. "Na toh na sahi, waise bhi mujhe kya- hum dono ka koi rishta thodi hai ke woh mujhe bye bolne aaye ge" - But she still wanted him to come, after everything that had happened she at least deserved a proper goodbye from him. 

"Ishqi tu itna mat soch, woh nahi ayege, aur agar aa bhi gaye toh mein kya kahugi unse....Unse mil ke jaana aur bhi mushkil hojaiga.....it's better for both of us if he doesn't come", her mind kept reminding her. 

"But.....ek baar milne se kya? Akhri baar hi sahi...lekin woh na bhi aaye toh tu chali jaana....2021 hai, zaroori toh nahi hai ke wohi aaye....Thodi der wait karle Ishqi, shayad tera naam teen banda mean aajai" her heart urged. 

Ishqi's heart and mind were at a constant battle, "ughhh",  she sighed and threw the clothes in her hand on the couch out of frustration. "Aur nahi horaha- kitna pretend karungi mein ke everything is fine, when it's clearly not....Mein Ahaan ke liye feel karti houn aur yeh saach mein kabhi nahi badal sakti....Iss mein meri galti thodi na hai, pyaar toh kissi se bhi kahin bhi hojata hai aur mujhe AVM se hogaya. Lekin meri kismat mein woh nahi hai....he has a girlfriend and I'm...not his."

Ishqi was silently weeping, this was something she couldn't tell anyone..it wasn't right but phir bhi it was. She remembered what her Massi always told her, "Bura hi sahi lekin waqt hai, guzar jaiga"."This too will pass Ishqi, aur dekhna kuch time baad tu aapni iss halat ke baare mein soch kar hasse gi" 

She took a deep breath, wiped her tears and stood up, she promised herself that she wouldn't cry anymore and that required staying away from Ahaan. "Agar mein Ahaan se mili toh yeh saari  himmat toot jaigi, it's all going to go down the drain....It's decided- ek ghaante mein ghadi aajai gi and mein aur massi check out karke yahan se chale jaige, kissi se mile bina"- 

She was zipping her bags when she heard a knock on the door, "Lagta hai Maasi market se wapis aagyi hai" she mumbled 

"Come in" she yelled- The door swung open and without looking at who it was Ishqi starting blabbering to keep herself distracted from thinking about Ahaan- 

Ishqi: Maasi aapne itna time lagah diya, lekin chale koi na, meine packing karli hai aur car bhi ek ghaante mein ajaigi- aap baithiye mein manager se jaa ke baat karke aati houn....Maasi? Aap kuch bol kyun nahi rahi? Ma- she looked up and her eyes widened, "Ahaan"- 

She stood up and walked towards him, "A-ap yahan kya kar rahe hai" she said looking everywhere but his eyes- 

Ahaan: Ishqi- look at me-

Ishqi: Dekh toh rahi houn, aap-

He cut her off, "Look into my eyes"- 

Ishqi looked into his eyes and got lost there, his eyes held so many layers of emotions..for her.  But today something was different, she could sense love that was always hidden...it wasn't restricted anymore, he was letting it all become visible. 

Ishqi diverted her gaze from his eyes, "Aapko koi kaam tha" she said in a choked voice-

Ahaan: Tum jaa rahi ho-

Ishqi: Gi-

Ahaan: Kyun?

Ishqi: Rukne ki koi wajah bhi toh nahi hai- 

Ahaan: Agar koi tumhe yahan rehne ki wajah dey de toh?

Ishqi: Mera yahan se jaana sab ke liye baithar hai....Aur aisi koi wajah nahi ho sakti jo mere yahan se jaane se zyada important ho- 

Ahaan: Hai ek wajah Ishqi...

Ishqi: Ahaan....dekhiye mere mein itni himmat nahi hai.....Mujhe nahi sunna kuch bhi, kyunke agar sunn liya toh mein jaa nahi paungi- tears emerged in her eyes

Ahaan advanced towards Ishqi and cupped her face, "Meri taraf dekho Ishqi...zoom kar ke dekho"

Ishqi lips curved into a smile but then she soon realized their circumstances, "Ahaan yeh aap kya kar rahe hai" she said while trying to pull away from him but he wasn't letting go. 

Ahaan: Aaj nahi Ishqi....Aaj mein woh saab keh dounga jo mere dil mein hai- 

Ishqi: Ah-Ahaan y-yeh aap k-kaisi baatein kar rahe hai....Agar aap ko bhool gaya ho toh mein yaad dila deti houn ke aapki ek girlfriend hai...Agar Rhea ne yeh saab dekh liye toh usse bura laage ga aur Dadi woh toh seedha mera murder kar deingi aur phir Sarla Auntie unhone toh- 

Ahaan: Saab ke baare mein sochti ho na tum, aapne ilava....Aur Rhea meri girlfriend nahi hai, humara break-up ho chuka hai..

Ishqi: Oh- I'm sorry about that...Mujhe sunn ke burra lagah

Ahaan: Kyun? Mujhe toh breakup kar ke accha laga- 

Ishqi: Huh? Aap aaj bhi toh nashe mein nahi hai- 

Ahaan: Mera matlab hai ke mein relationship mein toh tha Rhea ke saath but meine usske liye kabhi bhi kuch feel nahi kiya- Jaab mein pyaar kissi aur se karta houn toh Rhea ke saath relationship continue kaise kar sakta tha? 

He caged her in between his arms, "Ishqi- mein jaanta houn ke meine tumhe bohot zyada hurt kiya hai, aapni life mein tumhe dard ke ilava kuch nahi diya...Meine jo bhi tumharey saath kiya uss ke baad toh tumhe mere se nafrat honi chahiye....but tumhe meri parwah hai. Kal jab drunk tha toh tumne meri itni care ki...kyun?"

Ishqi was at a loss of words, "W-woh t-toh" she stuttered 

"Ishqi, tumhe pata hai jaab se meri life mein tumhari entry hui hai toh saab kuch change hogaya hai....Meine kabhi nahi soocha tha ke mein kissi ke pyaar mein parunga but you've proved me wrong".

Ishqi: A-aisa kaise ho sakta hai AVM- Hum dono saath nahi ho sakte-

Ahaan: Ishqi- hum dono jaante hai ke hum ek dusre ke bina nahi reh sakte....Mein tumse bohot zyada pyaar karta houn and I know ke tum bhi mujhse pyaar karti ho...

"Kya tum mujhe ek chance dey sakti ho Ishqi? I promise ke mein prove kar dounga ke tumne mujhe chance dey kar koi galti nahi ki, Meine tumhe jitna dard diya hai usse kahin zyada khushiyaan dounga..I promise"

Ahaan was now teary eyed and tears started flowing out of Ishqi's eyes like a river- 

Ahaan wiped her tears, "Dekho Ishqi, if you don't want to give me a chance, It's okay I understand" it pained his heart to say that single sentence but he knew after what he had put Ishqi through it was ultimately her choice. 

Ahaan lowered his gaze, "I'm sorry Ishqi", he whispered and she pulled him into a tight hug. She cried her heart out, letting out all the pain and hurt she had locked in her heart. Ahaan patted her back and held her close to him, he knew she needed this- They both collapsed to the ground, still in each other's embrace. 

After a few moments Ishqi whispered in Ahaan's ear, "I love you naam teen banda mean"- 

Ahaan jerked from the hug, "Sacchi?", he asked and she nodded- 

"Thank you Ishqi" Ahaan exclaimed 

Ishqi: AVM, aabse hum dono ke beech no sorry aur no thank you- 

Ahaan smiled and planted a kiss on Ishqi's forehead. She felt thousands of butterflies in her stomach. Ishqi couldn't believe her fate, just a while ago she was planning on staying away from Ahaan and now..he was all hers. 

Ishqi: Waise AVM, aapne socha hai ke saab ko kaab aur kaise batana hai?

There was a knock on the door and Kartik, along with SoRaj, Chachi, Dadi, Maasi and Sarla Auntie walked in- 

Ahaan: Abhi- he said answering Ishqi's question- 

Dadi immediately started questioning Ahaan, "Ahaan puttar tu yeh kya kar raha hai" 

The duo realized their proximity and distanced themselves a little from each other, Ahaan clasped Ishqi's hand. 

Ahaan: Jo aapko dikh raha hai Dadi wohi horaha hai, he said matter of factly. 

Sarla Auntie: Lo gi...Iss kaali billi ne cheen liya aapka pota aapse....Aab toh yehi aapki bahu baane gi Auntie Ji- 

Dadi: Kabhi nahi...Ahaan mein iss Ishqi ko aapni bahu kabhi nahi manugi- 

Ahaan: Mein pehle hi bata deta houn ke I will not tolerate any nonsense against Ishqi- And Sarla Auntie, aapne ek baat bikul sahi kahi....Ishqi hi meri wife baane gi. 

Dadi: Ahaan tu pagal hogaya kya- Mein tujhe ijazat nahi doungi iss ladki se shaadi karne ki- 

Ahaan: Dadi mein aapse ijazat maang bhi nahi raha....Meine already sooch rakha tha ke Ishqi aur mein aapni families ko bataige unse pooche ge nahi...Aur mein yeh bhi jaanta tha ke aapke aur Sarla Auntie ke ilava kissi ko mere aur Ishqi ke rishte se koi problem nahi hogi- 

"Aur Dadi agar aapko mere aur Ishqi ke rishte se itni problem hai toh aap na maaniye, Shaadi toh mein Ishqi se hi karunga and that's final".

Dadi: Ahaan puttar, tu iss Ishqi ke liye aapni Dadi ke khilaaf jaiga? Aur Rhea ka kya? Meine iss din ke liye tujhe paal pos ke barah kiya tha, Tu bhi- 

Ahaan cut her off, "Not today Dadi, aaj aapki emotional blackmailing kaam nahi aaigi...I'm not asking you...I'm letting you know that mein Ishqi se shaadi kar raha houn....If you have any issue's with that then that's your problem..not mine. Aur rahi baat Rhea ki toh Kartik ne aap saab ko already inform kar diya hoga ke meine break-up kar liya hai usse-" 

Ishqi was proud of Ahaan for standing up for their relationship, he was proving to be the best partner one could have, she tightened her grip on his hand. 

Dadi (in mind): Yeh kya horaha hai...Saari baazi mere pe ulti par rahi hai....Ahaan ko iss waqt Ishqi ke ilava kuch dikh nahi raha...Aur lagta hai Ahaan aapni zid puri kar ke rahega, lekin iss saab mein mera nuksaan hojaiga. Ishqi toh Ahaan ki patni baan jaigi buss mein Ahaan ki naazron mein buri ban jaougi....Maan jaati houn lekin iss Ishqi ko mein kabhi shaanti se jeene nahi doungi.."

Dadi: Waise toh mujhe Ishqi bikul pasand nahi hai lekin aab jaab tu ne faisla kar hi liya hai toh mujhe iss shaadi se koi itraaz nahi hai, she said fake smiling- 

Sarla Auntie: Auntie Ji! Aap itni jaldi maan bhi gayi- Mujhe toh lagah ke aap at least chaar paanch dramey toh kareingi, mujhe iss saab mein koi jhol lag raha - 

Raj glared at his mom and she rolled her eyes- 

Ahaan: Thank you Dadi, he said gratefully- 

Ahaan and Ishqi walked over to Dadi and touched her feet, she blessed them for show but cursed Ishqi in her mind. 

Then they went over to Maasi, who whole heartedly blessed them and wished for her niece's happiness- 

Sarla Auntie also blessed them, "Chalo aab tum aa hi gai ho toh yeh lo" she said while giving them her ashirwaad- 

Chachi: Khush raho tum dono humesha! she said while hugging them both-  

Sonu-Raj-Kartik went up to the duo and hugged them tightly, "Congrats Guys!" they all said at once- 

Chachi: Mein sooch rahi thi ke aaj raat ko inn dono ki engagement kyun na kardein? Phir next week ghar wapis bhi toh jaana hai. Saare functions yahan se hi hojai toh accha rahega- 

Sonu: Wow! Accha idea hai- What do you say guys?

Ishqi and Ahaan looked at each-other, smiled and then nodded- 

Kartik: So it's decided Ishqi aur Ahaan ki engagement aaj raat ko hi hogi- He turned to face them-

"I'm so happy for you guys, mujhe humesha se pata tha ke Ahaan and Ishqi are meant to be. Aur mein yeh bhi jaanta tha ke bhai aap chahe kitne bhi denial mein ho, aapko kissi na kissi din aapna pyaar zaroor realize hoga kyunke kehte hai na Ishk Par Zor Nahi....✨

Ishqaan blushed while everyone clapped for the new couple ❤- 

This was the start of a beautiful beginning to a forever journey. 💫
