Once they reached the infirmary Sakura immediately took over the situation

Sakura: "Mondo put Taka on that bed, Hina help me find some bandages!"

They did as they were told while Chihiro stood in a corner watching, as much as he wanted to help him too, he didn't want to get in the way so he decided to stay on the sidelines and hope for the best.
Once the bandages were found, Sakura immediately began to bandage the boy's head helped by Hina while Mondo is next to them holding Taka's hand.

Hina: "He will... he will be okay?"  She asked once the wound was bandaged.

Sakura took another look at the boy's body, put two fingers on the boy's neck to hear the pulse.
Sakura: "Don't worry he'll be fine, right now he's just unconscious from the lost blood and probably from the shock he suffered too"

Hina and Chihiro let out a little sigh of relief but still with some concern in them.
Suddenly Mondo without saying anything goes towards the exit of the room.

Hina: "M-Mondo where are you going?" 

Mondo: "And you ask? I'm going to find that bastard who did this to him!"

Instinctively, the programmer goes to the motorcyclist and takes him by the arm
Chihiro: "y-you can't! We don't know who did it and maybe the person who killed Hifumi is trying to make another victim!" He said it all in one breath with tears in his eyes

Skakura: "Chihiro is right" she intervened crossing her arms "plus this person could be the same person who tried to kill Taka too"

Hina: "and given the circumstances we can't leave him alone, he could  find out he's still alive and try to finish the job”

Mondo: "Damn it!" He hates to put it on but they're right, the situation can get worse if he goes to bullshit and Taka could really lose his life this time "so what do you suggest we have to do?" he finally said frustrated.

Sakura: "for now we have to wait for the others to finish the investigation to  see if they find out anything about the murder of Hifumi, and in the meantime we will stand guard this room so that no one comes here to finish the job" she concluded turning to Taka still lying on the bed unconscious.

Mondo: "Grr, fine!" he said resignedly putting his hands in his pockets.

Sakura: "well, I'll be out here guarding" she said as he headed for the exit

Hina: "I'm going to warn  the others about what happened" then she approaches Chihiro and whispers something in his ear "keep an eye on Mondo please, I have the impression that he could do a shit any time"

The programmer nodded and saw the two girls  leave the room leaving them alone.
Chihiro turns to the motorcyclist and sees that he is back near Taka, with a bit of hesitation he approaches them, sees a standard bandages on the head of the raven boy where the bandages have taken on a pink shade due to the lost blood, the expression of the boy was relaxed, but he doesn't know if that's good or not under the circumstances.

He turns his gaze to the motorcyclist, his face has no expression, half face is obscured by his hair, he kept his gaze fixed on Taka, expecting that at another moment he would wake up, continuing to hold the boy's hand.

The programmer shook his hands to his chest with a sad expression, he does not know what to say right now, if he makes a wrong word it could make the situation worse, decides to remain silent.

Maybe it will be minutes or hours, but from the silence they hear a voice behind them.

???: "so Taka was also attacked"

Chihiro turns and sees Kyoko Kirigiri in the room.
Chihiro: "K-Kyoko? What are you doing here?"

Kyoko: "Hina told us what happened, and given the situation I want to examine Taka's wound" she continues, keeping a serious expression on her face

Chihiro: "u-uhm.... that's okay for me.... but.... I don't know if Mondo....." he turns to Mondo who had not moved from the position he was.

Kyoko understands the situation and approaches him.

Kyoko: Mondo, I understand your situation, but if we want to find out who the culprit is, I have to continue the investigation and take as much evidence as possible for our case"

The silence returns in the room, Kyoko was waiting for an answer from the boy while Chihiro watched them.

Chihiro: "M-Mondo....."

Then something happened that no one expected, without saying anything Mondo moves from the bed giving the girl the green light.

Mondo: "you better find something useful" he said then leaning against the wall crossing his arms while he stared at the detective with a serious look.
Kyoko nods without saying anything and begins to examine Taka's body.

After a few minutes Kyoko puts her hand under her chin.
Kyoko: "interesting..." she said almost under her breath

Chihiro: "did you find something?" He asked, notising the girl's thoughtful expression

Kyoko: "Taka's wound is very similar to Hifumi's, with the difference that it is a little bigger" said closing her eyes mulling over this fact

Chihiro: "so it is possible that the weapon it could be the same one who killed Hufimi?"

Kyoko: "it's possible, but to be sure I still have to verify somethings. Where did you find Taka?"  She asked looking at the boy

Chihiro: "uhm, Mondo found him on the third floor, but I was so shocked by Taka's condition that I didn't look around.... sorry...." he apologized, lowering his eyes.

Kyoko: "That's okay, you don't have to apologize" she replied taking a small smile and then turning serious and looking at the motorcyclist "Mondo?"

Mondo: "I found Taka after I noticed traces of blood on the ground" he said only with a serious look.

Kyoko: "I understand, so it is possible that the aggressor believed he had killed him, and after that Taka left trying to find someone to help him" she nods slowly and heads for the door.

Mondo: "Oi, where are you going now?"

Kyoko: "On the third floor, if as you said, there are traces of blood, it is certain that there is the place where he was attacked" then she turns to Mondo "another thing, Taka is trembling, I suggest you put on him something hot waiting for him to wake up" without saying anything else left the room leaving the boys alone again.

Chihiro opened a small locker and found a blanket that could do for them.

Chihiro: "hey Mondo, I found a blanket, we can use this for-" he notice that the boy had taken off his jacket and placed it over Taka's body "oh.... n-nevermind...." he said then closing the locker.

he approached them looking at the two boys, Mondo's jacket covered most of Taka's body leaving only his black boots out.

Chihiro: "Mondo..... are you sure you wouldn't be cold without your jacket?"
the boy was wearing only a sleeveless shirt that left his arms uncovered.

Mondo: "I'm fine, I can't be cold right now" he answered without looking at him.

Chihiro: "o-ok..... if you say so....."

The silence go back to the room after Chihiro's answer.

Chihiro: "I hope Kyoko will be able to find out something..." he said weakly breaking the silence a bit, then a loud noise made him jump with fright, he turns towards the source of the sound and sees Mondo that had thrown a punch at one of the lockers, "Mondo?"

With caution he approaches the boy and sees that the cabinet has almost closed in on itself due to the force of the fist and a bit of blood was coming out of the boy's hand.

Chihiro: "M-Mondo, your hand?!"

Without saying anything the boy looks at his hand, a bit of pink blood was coming out of the knuckles.

Mondo: "it's nothing" he said without looking at the smaller boy

Chihiro: "m-maybe so, but you have to bandage your hand to be sure-"

Mondo: "I said is nothing!!" He blurted out, giving to the programmer a stern look.

Chihiro: "Eek, I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"  instinctively the boy backs away and puts his hands to his face.

A few seconds later Mondo realizes what he has done and immediately felt guilty.
Mondo: "Chihiro, I....." he sees the boy was crying a little from behind those little hands "ugh.... I-I'm sorry Chihiro, I didn't want to yell at you, I.... I'm.... I'm just frustrated with this situation....." he said then clenching his fists and looking down.

Chihiro: "I-It's okay Mondo I know, y-you don't have to apologize" he said calming down a bit realizing the state of his friend "b-but even if it's nothing serious, can I bandage your hand? please?" He then asked looking at the hand in the motorcyclist.

Mondo slowly nods without saying anything, the programmer makes a little smile and take some bandages from a small drawer.

The boys find two chairs that they can use, while he blindfolds Mondo's hand, Chihiro notices that the boy was staring at Taka, his gaze transmitted concern, even if he does not see well because of the hair that shaded his face.

Chihiro: "Mondo, I know you're worried about him, so am I, but you heard what Sakura said, Taka is fine he's just unconscious" he smiled at him hoping to see a positive reaction from the boy.

Mondo: "I know this, i-it's just…" he looks away

Chihiro: "Mondo?" he looks at him worried "what's wrong?"

Mondo: "it's just that ... I feel like it's my fault that Taka is like this now...." he look down.

Chihiro: "huh? What are you talking about, it's not you're fault" he finishes bandaging the boy's hand.

Mondo: "but it is! If I had been with him now he wouldn't be like this!" He burst into breath and then look away again putting his hand bandaged over his face "I..... I-I have already seen someone die in front of me.... and ... I-I don't want to relive that moment again....."  the memories of that night came back to him all together, he doesn't want to see Taka in the state his brother was in before he died, because of him.

Chihiro: "Mondo......"

Chihiro knows what he means, he talked to him about the incident about his older brother, Dayia Owada had, he doesn't know all the details, because the boy didn't want to talk much about it,  but from how he tells it, Mondo feels very guilty for what happened, and believes that it is his fault that his brother died, and seeing how Mondo and Taka have come close it is normal to think that he would do everything to protect him and make happy this one.
