Taka's sudden scream silences the two of them causing silence to fall again in the room.
The two boys stare at the boy still sitting on the bed he was panting with the scream he gave in frustration.

Chihiro: "What-?"

Mondo: "What do you by that?"

The two asked after a moment of silence confused by Taka's response

Taka: "Since we ended up in this situation I haven't done anything useful to help, and every time I tried to help no one listened to me!" He's eyes started to go dark "when I saw that ticket in front of my door.... I thought someone started trusting me.... and so he wanted to have my help... but... it was just a trap...." some tears start to sell off his cheeks "you're right Mondo.... I was a fool.... to believe that someone wanted my help...." he starts  cry putting a hand on his face.

Mondo: "Gh-! N-no Taka I didn't mean-!"  "Fuck! why I always screw everything up?!"

Mondo doesn't know what to do, he hates to see him cry but what he could tell him?
Chihiro, understanding the situation, grabs his friend by the sleeve and signals him to go to him, he doesn't know what he can do yet, but he decides to follow his instinct.
Mondo approaches Taka and takes him by the shoulders

Mondo: "Oi Taka, look at me"

Taka looks at him with those sad red eyes

Mondo: "Listen you are not an idiot" he start "the only idiot here is me, I was angry and worried about this situation and when I'm like this I say things that go through my head that I don't really think, and for sure I don't think that  you are an idiot, so don't you dare to think that" Mondo takes his jacket from Taka's legs and puts it on her shoulders "and don't think you are useless in this situation, Chihiro and I also didn't do much to help, especially me since I'm not very smart, but you are Taka, and in that case we might need your help as you might be a potential witness. So stop thinking you're an idiot or useless, ok bro?"

Taka remains silent, but slowly nods, wiping his eyes with a sleeve of his uniform, Mondo's words had calmed him a little.

Mondo smiled, but before he could add anything, Taka hug him

Taka: "....thank you, Mondo..."

the motorcyclist was surprised by his sudden gesture, since they had never hugged each other like that

Mondo: "anytime, Taka" he just ignoring that sense of surprise and he hug him back smiling

Chihiro smile seeing that scene, he has seen their friendship grow a lot in the last few days, but he has never seen them hugging eachother in that way, in fact he suspects that there is more than just friendship, but for now he prefers not to say anything, one because  he wants to check if what he thinks is true or not, and second he doesn't want to ruin that cute scene.

But that scene was still marred by Monokuma's sudden announcement inviting them to go to that subspecies of court.

Chihiro: "I guess the others have finished their investigations, I hope they have discovered something..." he said thoughtfully.

From the door of the infirmary Sakura peeped out, she had been standing in front of that door all the time

Sakura: "it would be better to go before Monokuma drags us there by force"  then she notices Taka, who in the meantime had separated from Mondo, was awake "I'm glad to see you're okay, Taka" she smiled

Taka: "Thank you, Sakura" hereplied, returning the smile.

Mondo: "You go ahead, we will arrive immediately" he said who wanted to stay to help Taka

Sakura: "okay, but hurry up" she said leaving the room

Chihiro: "are you sure you can walk Taka?"  he asked worried about his friend

Taka: "don't worry Chihiro, I'll be fine!"  He replied with a smile

Chihiro: "ok ... if you say so .." he said not very convinced "I'll wait for you in front of the elevator then" he said then leaving the room leaving the two boys alone.

Taka gets up from the hospital bed trying to stand up, but his legs still don't hold him very well and before he could fall Mondo catches him in time

Mondo: "it's better that I help you"

Taka: "you don't need Mondo, I can do it just by myself"

Mondo: "Taka, you got a fucking blow on the head that made you bleed, and you think that after a short time your accident you can walk? I don't think so, so hold on to me" he takes Taka under the arm.

Taka: "you are very stubborn you know, Kyodai?" Taka asked him pouting

Mondo: "I can say the same about you, ya know?" He retorts Mondo with a chuckle as they exited the infirmary.

As they walked towards the dreaded red door Taka gradually managed to synchronize his steps well, and he finally realized that he and Mondo were very close, too close, he begin to feel a strange feelings inside his chest, but he doesn't know well what it is, plus he feels his cheeks getting hotter

Taka: "what happens to me? Why do I feel so... strange next to Mondo?....." his thoughts were interrupted by Mondo's voice

Mondo: "ya know, you really scared the shit out of me when I saw you in that state"

Taka: "s-sorry..." he replied mortified

Mondo: "hey you don't have to apologize ok? It sure wasn't your fault if that bastard hit you in the back, but  next time if something like this happens to you come to talk to me, I just want you to be okay and nothing bad will happen to you"

Taka's cheeks stopped slightly, but hope Mondo doesn't notice

Taka: "thank you Mondo, I really appreciate" he smiled

Mondo: "s-sure" he replied blushing a little.

The two arrived at the red door.

Mondo: "well, here we are" he said letting go Taka "are you sure you can stand up now?"

Taka: "Yes I'm sure don't worry about it. Oh right, I better laugh at your jacket" he said taking off Mondo's jacket from his shoulders.

Modno: "right, thank you" he said taking his jacket back on

in those moments of silence Taka wears a hand on the bandaged part of his head, it still hurt and he was a little dizzy.

Mindo: "Oi, are you sure you're okay?"  Mondo had put his jacket back on and he had noticed the state of his friend

Taka: "I'm fine really, and then even if I wasn't Monokuma would still force me to participate to the trial"

Mondo: "right, that son of a bitch..." he replied grinning a bit the teeth.

Taka: "Mondo, language!" He said crossing his arms with a setius look on his face

Mondo: "well, at least it seems to be the usual Taka" he think giggling to himself "right, sorry. Anyway to be sure for this time you will get close to me, and if by chance you don't feel well just tell me, ok?"

Has that statement Taka was surprised, Mondo is really caring about him, but why was he acting like this?
Is it because they are friends now, or is it another reason?

Taka: "Okay, thanks Kyodai!" He smiled at him and Mondo returns the smile

Mondo: "now it's better to move before making that damned bear angry"

The raven boy nods and the two walk through the red door and together with their other companions they begin another trial to discover that he is the killer of Hifumi Yamada.

Heyla!  Sorry if this chapter is a bit short but I didn't know what else to put in it 😅

And probably in the next chapters there will be a skip time after the trial, since it will be identical to the game/anime but with the difference that there will also be Taka, and I don't want to bore you by putting the whole fourth trial by changing only a few tests or lines.

But I'll give you a mini summary so you can better understand the trend for the next chapter

So when Celest notices that Taka is still alive she starts acting weird, but she uses her classic poker face to avoid arousing suspicion, but the only one who notices is Mondo, who begins to suspect that she has something to do with it.  what happened to Taka that about the murder of Hifumi, plus why he doesn't believe that an idiot and naive like Hiro is ever able to kill someone

(no offense to those who love Yasuhiro, I love him too as a character, but unfortunately he is a bit silly and we can't deny it 😅)

After finding out who the real culprit was Mondo gets so pissed at Celet that Sakura is forced to hold him back before he killed her himself, and consequently be punished himself (not for what happened to Hifumi but for manipulating him. in TRYING to kill Taka, better specify this thing)

Anyway Monokuma has Celest executed blah blah blah, we all know how it ended (I don't know if she got it but I hate her as a character 😑)

Ok I have dwelt too much, now I'm going to work "maybe" on the last chapter of my story, and I'm pretty sure this part came out sooner than I thought, so you are welcome I guess XD
