Even if he didn't finish the sentence, Mondo knew what he was referring to, he has already seen a peer of his age, Leon Kuwata, kill another person, Sayaka Maizono in cold blood, even if it was self-defense, it was not a good excuse to kill her.

And now a fuking robot who has come out of who knows where it will act in the corridors of the school, has already attacked Celestia Ludemberg, presumably, kidnapped Hifumi Yamada and Kiyotaka Ishimaru is nowhere to be found.
And the mere thought that something may have happened to his friend made Mondo feel bad, not being able to think about how he would find him and how he would behave if he found him dead who knows where.....

The boy was distracted from his thoughts when you hear little sobs coming from the programmer.

Mondo: "Chihiro?" He asked worriedly

Chihiro looks up at Mondo, some tears starting to roll down his little cheeks.

Mondo dosen't know how to behave, it's not the first time that he has seen someone cry, especially him, but he does not know how to comfort someone who cries, especially if it is one of his friends, since he does not have many.... But he decides to try anyway.

Mondo: "hey Chihiro" he puts a hand on his little shoulder "don't lose hope, I'm sure Taka is fine and we'll be able to find him" he said trying to smile reassuringly.

Those words were not only to reassure Chihiro, but they were also to reassure himself, as he was afraid to find Taka's body, but he can't show it, he must stay strong, especially right now.
Chihiro looks back at Mondo in the eyes

They see Monokuma appear on the monitor, Chihiro instinctively clings to the sleeve of Mondo's jacket, and heard those dreaded four words from the bear's mouth.

Monokuma: "A body has been discovered!"

They didn't make any sound after those words, their body went completely paralyzed, Chihiro's head sank into the Mondo's sleeve plus the other stifling a "no" sobbing.

Mondo remain frozen, gazing into space, after those words his head is completely emptied, he doesn't know what to think.
He feels a knot in his stomach that makes him feel bad, and it is then that only one thought came to him.

Mondo: "have they found.... T-Taka's body?"

He think back to what happened a few days before, after that stupid quarrel and having challenged each other in that sauna where they became friends, he think back to how happy he felt when he was with him, for the first time he felt truly understood by someone, he think back to the last sentence Taka said to him the night before.

Taka: "You know Modno, I'm happy to have a friend like you, I mean you are my first friend I've had and I think there are still many things I have to learn about this, but I'm happy to learn this new experience of mine with you, Kyodai!"

Mondo: "No..." the motorcycle's hands shake as they close into fists, "No! I refuse to believe that Taka..."

Chihiro noticed the state of his friend, before he could tell him anything, the motorcyclist started to run away in the opposite direction from where they had come freeing himself from the grip of the programmer.

Chihiro: "Mondo, wait!"

He ran after him in an attempt to reach him, he understood what his friend wanted to do, inside he hope with all his heart not to find their friend in a pool of pink blood.

Mondo doesn't know how long he run but he didn't care, he had to make sure that he's bro was okay, not realizing that the little programmer was behind him trying to keep up with him.

Towards the end of a mourning they saw in the distance two figures coming towards them.

???: "Mondo! Chihiro!"

One of them said waving her arm to get their attention, they were Sakura Ogami and Aoi Asahina, the two boys joined the girls.

Hina: "Luckily we found you, Sakura and I were looking for you," she said happy to see they were fine.

Sakura: "I assume you heard Monokuma's announcement," said crossing her arms over her chest.

Mondo: "yes we did, what happened?" he asked trying to stay as calm as possible, hiding a huge lump in his throat he had at that moment.

Sakura: "Makoto, Byakuya and Kyoko found Hifumi's body," she said seriously.

Chihiro: "So he too...." Chihiro's hands shake a bit as he brings them in front of his chest

Hina: "yes, the others are examining the crime scene right now" she's holding her arm with one hand "but I couldn't look at poor Hifumi in that state, so Sakura was escorting me to my room"

Chihiro: "I guess it's the best thing for her..."

Mondo: "What about Taka, have you found him?" He sak hoping for good news, but the girls shook their heads.

Hina: "we searched all the first and second floors but we didn't find him anywhere" she continue putting a hand to her chest.

If he was not on the first and second floor, there was only one option left.

Mondo: "then he must be on the third floor!" said this he start running towards the stairs.

Chihiro: "M-Mondo wait!" He try to stop him but in vain.

Sakura: "He's unconscious, he shouldn't go there alone" she shook her head "we better follow him" continues looking at the programmer

Chihiro: "Y-You're right" the three go to the stairs to the third floor.

Mondo kept running for the third floor hallway

Mondo: "come on where the fuck are you?! Tell me you're okay!!"

He doesn't notice that part of the floor is wet so he slips and falls to the ground and hits his head on the wall behind hin

Mondo: "ow! What the fuck-!" While massaging his head with one hand, he better controls the liquid on the ground, and he immediately recognized that bright pink color and his heart stopped for a moment "is that.... Blood?"

In a second the panic rose in him, with a snap he got to his feet and he started calling Taka's name in panic, hoping he could hear his answer

The boy hears that faint answer around a corner

A lot of blood was coming out of the left side of his head, cars had fallen on the white uniform while a hand tried to plug the wound

Taka: "M-Mondo... help me..."

Before the boy fell to the ground Mondo was faster and managed to catch it in time

Mondo: "holy shit, Taka what happened?! Who did this to you!?"

He didn't answer, his face is pale and his body plots against Mondo's

Mondo: "shit, in this state he can't speak, and the wound keeps bleeding, what the fuck can I do, I can't leave him like this!"

Before he panicked he saw the girls and Chihiro joining him

Hina: "oh my god, Taka!" She puts her hands to her mouth as Chihiro stifles a frightened squeak.

Sakura: "There is no time to waste, we have to take him to the infirmary immediately!"

the others nodded, Mondo took Taka in his arms and everyone ran towards the first floor where the infirmary was located.
