Another couple of days passed and Taka was finally able to finish reading the book they had lent him without any further hitches and that day he would return it to its rightful owner.

Fortunately that day Gundham was in his dormitory so he find him very easily, also because after school hours and some going out with his boyfriend and his friends, he almost never leaves his dorm

Taka: "Thanks again for lending it to me, Gundham" he says handing the book to the boy

Gundham: "You don't have to thank me mortal, it was a pleasure" he says as he puts the book back in his place "so what do you think?"

Taka: "I didn't think to say it, but it was very interesting, some details were so carefully described that they almost seemed to be taken live"

Gundham: "this is because it is so"

Taka: "wait, what do you mean?"

Taka: 'yellow eyes.... maybe it's the same creature that tried to attack me last time....' he thinks

Gundham: "and finally there are the red eyes, which are the most dangerous stage of the werewolf"

Taka: "the most dangerous stage? What do you mean?"

Gundham: "in this stage the cursed mortal no longer has control of his actions or transformation and turns into a real red-eyed wolf who will no longer recognize the mortals he was fond and has only one thing in his head, to eliminate everything that moves "

At that explanation Taka remains frozen in place for a moment, what Gundham had just explained to him seems to be the description of the nightmare he had a few nights before

Taka: "I guess you're right.." 'so the condition of Mondo is a possible thing....' he thinks

Gundham: "Do you want to know more?"

Taka: "if it's ok, I would like to ask two more things"

Gundham: "Okay, what is it?"

Taka: "Is it possible that lincanthropy can get worse over time?"

Gundham: "it depends on the past tense and the kind of lincanthropy the mortal may have"

Taka: "ok uhm... what if this person was bitten as a child and continues to have the curse until high school but still manages to keep control of the transformation but who sometimes gets lincanthropy attacks?"

Gundham: "hmm ... this hypothesis seems too specific, mortal" he says looking at him with a bit of suspicion

Taka: "oh! Well I just thought about the first hypothesis that I was in mind, nothing strange" he says trying not to sweat cold

For a moment Gundham looks at the boy with suspicion and begins to suspect something, but for the moment he decides not to say anything.

Gundham: "Okay then. Considering this your hypothesis the mortal has been affected by the curse for 13-14 years or something similar, so ut shouldn't get that much worse, but if he has the condition you mentioned the matter is very different"

Taka: "what do you mean?"

Gundham: "if the mortal has these attacks from an early age, with the passage of time they could decrease until they disappear, and then return more and more often and they could last much longer than normal, until the cursed mortal completely loses his humanity "

Taka: "you mean..... that could reach the third stage of lincanthropy?"

Gundham: "as I said that stage is very rare and my grandfather never told me about it, but I think it could be possible"

Taka: "........ok"

Gundham: 'He's acting weird.  It's official, the mortal Ishimaru is hiding something....' he thinks noticing Taka's strange behavior "do you have anything else to ask?"

Taka: "y-yes, I was wondering if there was a way to heal someone from lincanthropy without necessarily killing them"

Gundham: "hm..... another interesting question, mortal" crosses his arms and thinks "unfortunately no possible cure for this curse of the note has yet been found"

Taka: "oh....."

Gundham: "but..."

Gundham: "It's still experimental, but my grandfather is working a potion that could help anyone mortal with this curse"

From a desk drawer Gundham takes a piece of paper where something written on it

Taka: "what is that?"

Gundham: "this is the potential recipe for a possible 'cure'" pass the paper to Taka "you can take a look if you want"

Taka nodded and took the paper curious to see its contents.
They were listed in the list of ingredients that were very common that are easily found around, but the one that attracted the attention of the boy was the last one at the end of the list.

Taka: "Gundham, why does it say 'Drop of blood' as the last ingredient?" He asks perplexed

Gundham: "Let me explain, my grandfather believes that the curse is somehow centered on blood, so he theorized that if you use mortal blood and then give it as a potion to a cursed mortal this could somehow affect them and make them become mortal "

Taka: "understand, is it enough common blood to do it?"

Gundham: "It would be too easy like this, he says that to make it work the blood must belong to the mortal who is very fond of the cursed mortal, so it must be either they best friend or they boyfriend/girlfriend.

Taka: 'a person they are very fond of...' "and does this cure work?"

Gundham: "I don't know this, my grandfather still hasn't experimented with his friend, also considering the fact of the possible side effects if it doesn't work"

A noise was heard that attracted the attention of the two boys, it came from the cage (even if it was bigger than normal) of the hamsters

Taka: 'I know it's wrong, but it's for one important reason...'

After leaving Gundham's dorm, Taka had returned to his and was thinking about what to do.

Normally he had a good photographic memory, but in that case it was better to have an actual photo to avoid possible mistakes

He continued to read and reread the various ingredients on his phone display

He was a little worried about the possible side effects that could happen if it didn't work, but there was a tiny chance that it would help Mondo to get back to normal.
