It was a beautiful sunny day at the Hope Speak Academy and two students were busy studying, albeit one more than the other.

Taka was in his dorm trying to get his boyfriend, Mondo Owada, to study who was once attentive and sometimes not.

Taka: "okay for today we're done"

Mondo: "finally!" He stretches in his chair

Mondo notices that while Taka was putting away the books he was pouting slightly, so he stands up and hugs him from behind.

Mondo: "hey, don't tell me you're mad at me"

Taka: "no I'm not mad at you, I'm just a little tired"

Mondo: "are you sure?"

Taka: "hm-hm, I just want you to put in a little more study"

Mondo: "hey, you know I'm trying"

Taka: "yeah I know"

In response Mondo kisses the boy on the cheek making him blush

Mondo: "You're still frustrated after all this time we are together? "

Taka: "y-you know I get frustrated easily!"

Mondo: "I know, and it's something I love about you"

In response, Taka makes a frustrated sound and hides her red face on Mondo's chest, making Mondo laugh

Mondo: "anyway panic prince, what do you want to do now?"

for a moment Taka pouts over the nickname, even though he likes it a bit

Taka: "Well tonight there will be a shower of shooting stars, and I would love to see them!"

Mondo: "let me guess, first time you see them?" he asks noticing his excitement

Taka: "hm-hm, it notice a lot, huh?"

Mondo: "Well it's not the first time you behave like this when you see something for the first time" he says he giggling "but it's a good idea, I'll go with you very willingly"

Taka: "Great! And tonight there will also be a full moon so there will be enough light to see outside!"

At that statement Mondo stops for a moment, he had completely forgotten that that night there would be a full moon

Mondo: 'fuck... why did there have to be tonight!?.... I can't go there... otherwise...'

Taka: "Mon? Something wrong?" He asks noticing the boy's glance

Mondo: "n-no I'm fine" he says trying to be natural

Taka: "Are you sure? If you can't come it's okay, I can go alone"

Mondo: "no no it's okay I can come, and then it's dangerous to go out alone at night"

Taka: "Mondo, you know I know how to take care of myself"

Mondo: "I know, but I want to make sure you're safe" he kisses him on the cheek

Taka: "I know, hehe" he chuckles "then it's decided, tonight we are out of school for our date"

Mondo: "yeah, of course"

After kissing, Mondo leaves Taka's dormitory and goes to his

Mondo: "geat, now I'm really fuck it up" he says when he enters his dormitory

By now he's known that he can't say no to Taka, but now he's got into trouble. On full moon nights, Mondo can't get out of his dorm as he likes, because you can say he's been cursed, and now every time there's a full moon he turns into a werewolf.

Nobody knows about this second form of his, except for his brother of course, but apart from him nobody else knows, and now that that evening there would have been a full moon he had to be on a date with his beloved.

The problem was not so much turning into a werewolf, by now he was used to it since he has been having this curse for a long time, but the problem is how Taka would react to see him in that form.

Mondo: 'what the fuck am I supposed to do!?'

~ that evening ~

It had been evening for a few minutes and Mondo had already taken his werewolf form and he doesn't know what he should do.

Surely now Taka will be waiting for him behind the school, but he can't be seen in that state but he can't even leave him alone without giving him a valid reason.

Not to mention that he made a promise that he would meet him there, and he can't break a promise like that, especially if it was about hurting Taka. And he can't even risk something bad happening to him, because he knows too well that he's not the only werewolf around.

So for Taka's sake he decides to leave the school passing through the window of his dorm so as not to be seen by anyone and hide in the shadows, once outside he heads to the meeting place

Arriving at the established place, Mondo remains hidden behind a corner of the academy remaining in the shadows and a little further on he sees Taka who was waiting for him.

Mondo: 'at least he's fine, but still he ca't see me like this' he thinks thinking about the situation he is in here

It spend a few minutes, but Mondo still doesen't show up and Taka begins to be worried

Taka: 'where is he? He should be here by now' he thinks worriedly

Taka takes his phone with the intention to calling him, it is not known if it is luck or bad luck but Mondo had forgotten the phone in his dormitory so neither of them heard the phone ring, and since no one answered the phone left a voice mail

Taka: "hey Mondo it's me, where are you? You promised we would meet outside the school to see the shooting stars together"

There was silence for a few moments, Mondo was sorry to see him like that, even though he was quite dark and was a bit far from him, he could see well the sadness in Taka's eyes, but what he said then struck him a lot. more

Taka: "....... if you didn't want to come you could have told me, instead of leaving me here alone" he says with a serious look before closing the call and small tears start to fall from his cheeks

Mondo: 'Taka...' he whispers noticing his reaction

He hates to see him in that state, and it was his fault that he was like that now, he was about to approach him when a rustle from behind a bush attracted his attention and also that of Taka

Taka: "huh? Is anyone there?" He says approaching the bush

From the bush it can see a pair of yellow eyes staring at the boy in the bush

Mondo: 'oh no, I recognize those eyes!'

From the darkness, a giant wolf appears and growls menacingly at Taka as it approaches him

Taka: "s-stay back!" He says scared as he backs away

Taka backing up stumbles on a stone falling to the ground and the wolf welcomes the moment to attack him, instinctively Taka closes his eyes and puts his arms to his face to prepare for the attack.

But nothing happened.

When Taka opens his eyes he sees a figure in front of him who had placed himself between him and the wolf, a figure very familiar to him

Taka: "M-Mondo?"

The wolf, instead of biting Taka, had bitten Mondo's arm that was in front of his face, with a scratched Mondo hit the wolf on the muzzle that let go and back away.
The wolf roars in anger, but Mondo roared even louder causing the wolf to run away

Mondo: "Stay away from my Taka" growls between his teeth

Then Mondo falls to the ground holding his arm with Taka going towards him

Taka: "Mondo, are you okay?!" He asks worried and notices his arm starting to bleed "it's not god, wait here I'm going to call Mikan"

Before he could go Mondo grabs him by the arm and stops him

Taka: "Mondo?"

The boy looks at him noticing puppy eyes in Mondo's gaze, making a 'no' with the head

Taka: "you want no one to see you like this?" He asks understanding what he meant and Mondo nods "okay, I'll take care of it then, wait here"

Mondo lets him go and Taka goes to the academy to find something to help Mondo

~ after a few minutes ~

Taka had returned with a medic and was treating Mondo's arm, which in the meantime was still transformed into a werewolf.

Mondo: 'what should I tell him now?'  He thinks as he looks for a way to explain the situation to him

Taka: "Here, it should be fine for a while" he says as he finishes fixing the bandage

Mondo: "t-thanks ..."

Taka: "so... that's why you don't want to come here tonight, because you're a werewolf"

Mondo: "y-yeah ...."

Taka: "why didn't you tell me? I could have helped you"

Mondo: "........"

Taka: "....Mondo?"

Mondo: ".....I was afraid of your reaction..."

Taka: "huh?"

Mondo: "I was afraid that if you would have seen me like this you would no longer want to have anything to do with me, and that...." he remain silent for a few seconds while his ears lowered "....and that you would have left me..."

Taka: "why did you think of such a thing?"

Mondo: "look at me, I'm a monster. No one would come to be with someone who turns into a beast every night of the full moon and who at any moment could hurt you without realizing it"

Taka: "Mondo..."

Mondo: "so that's also why I wasn't sure about coming here tonight, not because I didn't want to, but I don't want me to lose control of myself at any moment and hurt you without me realize it..." he look down with his ears still lowered "....I just don't want you to get hurt because of my stupid curse..."

Between the two there is a few moments of silence, until Taka decided to speak

Taka: "Mondo, look at me" he says mind with one hand he raise Mondo's face/muzzle so that he looks at him "I could never leave you because of this, I don't care if you are a werewolf or a human, for me it don't changes enything"

Mondo: his ears go up slightly "....really?"

Taka: puts a hand on Mondo's cheek "I love you for who you are, not for what you are. And nothing can ever change this fact" he says smiling

For a few seconds Mondo remains silent, for all that time he had thought about the possible reactions of Taka when he would have known about his curse of him, but he hadn't occurred to him in the least that he would have reacted so well.

Even if he could have expected it, it's Taka we are talking about, so it was obvious that he would have reacted like this.

Mondo: smiles in turn and rubs the spindle/muzzle on Taka's hand "you know that sometimes you are too kind, right?"

Taka: "and is this bad thing?" He asks raising an eyebrow continuing to smile

Mondo: laughs slightly "of course not, you know it's something I love about you"

Taka: giggles "yes, I know"

Taka rests his forehead on Mondo's, while he starts wagging his tail a little

Taka: "Are you feeling better now?"

Mondo: "Just a litle, but yes"

Taka: "good" smiles

Mondo: "But seriously, are you sure this isn't a problem for you? I don't want you to get hurt because of me"

Taka: "Mondo, as I said I can take care of myself, and then you just showed me that you would never hurt me, right?"

Mondo: "I... I guess so..."

Taka: "You don't have to worry ok? Nothing will happen to me"

Mondo: "....promised?"

Taka: "promised!" He smiles

Mondo: he smiles too "ok then"

Taka: "and then you are not so scary in this form" he reaches out to stroke him on the head "you are like a humanoid dog"

Mondo: "h-hey stop it. I don't like this"

Taka: he raise an eyebrow "are you sure? Your tail says otherwise"

They both notice that while Taka was stroking him Mondo's tail continues to wag its tail on its own

Mondo: 'stupid tail' He whispers, blushing a little embarrassed

Taka: giggles seeing his reaction "you're very cute, you know?"

Mondo: "I'm not cute!"

Taka: "yes you are~" he teases him

Mondo: "stop it!" He blush even more

Taka: "I don't think so"

Mondo: "ah yes?"

In a moment, Mondo jumped to Taka and both ended up on the ground with the werewolf on top of the boy

Taka: "M-Mondo what are you doing?"  He says blushing

Mondo: "I just want to see you flustres" seeing he have the reaction he wanted to see

Taka: "i-it's not fair!"

Mondo: "you start frist, ya know?"

There was a few moments of silence then they both started laughing

Taka: "ok ok, you won"

Mondo: "Of course I am" chuckles as he helps him get up

Taka: "but at least you're smiling, and that's a good thing"

Mondo: "I guess so" he chuckles too, then he notices that in the sky the stars have started to fall "and it seems that the show you wanted to see is starting"

The two stood there watching the rain of shooting stars, with Taka being the most ecstatic to see that show in the sky.

Mondo: "I guess you's like it, huh?"

Taka: "Of course I do! It's wonderful!"  He says excitedly

Mondo: giggles at how cute he can be at that moment "you know, they say shooting stars can grant wishes"

Taka: looks at him surprised "really?"

Mondo: "I don't know if it's true or not, honestly I've never tried, but it's said that if you want something intensely during a rain of shooting stars it is possible that that thing could become real"

Taka: "interesting"

Mondo: "as I said I don't know if it's true, but who knows"

Throughout the duration of the shooting stars the two stayed out there watching them, not knowing that Taka, after hearing that thing from Mondo, was all the time thinking about one thing that he wanted to see be realized, find a way to help Mondo and get it back to normal.

After a few minutes the shooting stars ended and the sky returned calm with only the moon and a few fixed stars twinkling in the night

Mondo: "Well it was nice. Right, Ishi?"

He dosen't hear an answer but he realizes he feels a weight on his shoulder, he turns and sees Taka who had fallen asleep on his shoulder.

He smiles and without waking him takes it and places it on his lap, Taka still asleep rests his head on his chest, smiling slightly

Mondo leans his back on a tree trunk and hugs Taka while he lightly stroked his head

After a while Mondo also began to feel tired, so much so that he could not return to his dormitory in that form, and since he didn't want to wake up Taka so he fell asleep there with his boyfriend still in his arms who was sleeping blissfully
