Jungkook?” The alpha hums, an oof leaving from his lips when the omega settles on top of him while he is doing push ups.

“Oh god, Tae get off you want me to faint??” the omega rolls his eyes.

“I thought you are strong enough” Jungkook chuckles at that, still doing his work Like usual but putting an extra effort to not fall flat on his stomach.

“Now you are challenging me baby”

“Maybe I am?” Taehyung giggles when Jungkook growls at him playful.

“Alright, Challenge accepted. Now will you tell me what you want to say?”

“Oh right! Your muscles distracted me”

“Is that so—”

“ANYWAYS! I was wondering, what will happen if a day comes where we hate each other or like I hate you or something” Taehyung says casually while Jungkook’s hands flattered.

His body froze and so did his brain. There'll definitely be a day where Taehyung will hate him.

Will hate his mere existence, will hate him when he'll assassinate his father and dispose him like a bag of plastic, and will ghost him for the rest of his life. He'll definitely hate him one day. There'll be a day when Taehyung would wonder if he ever even meant a little for the alpha and he wouldn't be present to tell him the truth.

And the thought of it makes his heart stop and an acidic taste fills his mouth.

But that day isn't today so he'll act like he doesn't know what the future holds for them. He'll pretend as if they'll have a happy ever after, will pretend as if he'll have a happy ever after.

So, Jungkook gives himself time to think before he answers.

“I think you'll pretend as if you don't know me and will just pass by like I never existed” He shrugged resuming his moment already knowing well that he's wrong.

Jungkook has never been able to predict him, never able to understand him well.

So he knows, even now. Taehyung will do the exact opposite of what he just said. That's how it has been, And he grins when Taehyung makes a buzzer sound.

“Wrong answer”

“I'll shout at you, scream at your face till I like, lose my voice or something”

“Oh no my ears—”

“And then I'll kiss you hard!” Now that makes Jungkook raise a brow at him questioningly even though the omega can't really see that.

“Why so baby?”

“Duh, What makes you think I can actually hate you? Koo I'll probably be angry at you for thinking I'll ever hate hate you”

“Taehyung, get up”

“What? Why” Taehyung whines. “I'm enjoying this!”

“Get up idiot so I can kiss you hard like right fucking now!!!” Tae laughs.

Taehyung blinks his eyes to get rid of that memory.

He feels like laughing at his old self, dumb. How fucking dumb and naive he was.

Why did he thought, this asshole sitting in front of him is the love of his life? The joke. The contrast between their relationship then and now is so fucking ironic.

So ironic that it makes him laugh till tears pour out of his eyes. Not because of happiness like It has every time the alpha has been in front of him.

Every time the alpha smiled at him in the past, all it gave him was happiness and love. Pure happiness

But not now, now all Jungkook can give him now is pain and pain. Just pain.
Nothing else.

The smile which he once used to love feels like nothing more than a mockery to him.

A mockery to his love, A mockery to everything he has given to this man. It feels A mock to the heart he gave to him. As if the alpha is taunting him for falling in love with him.

“Appa?” Taehyung snaps his head towards his little bundle of joy.

He eyes the hand on his shoulder, following it till his eyes reach the man who unfortunately is also the father of his son. And now even the hand on his son’s shoulder feels like a mock to him. As if the alpha is laughing at him, taunting him about how Eunwoo is more his son then he is of Taehyung.

By the looks at the very least, yes. He resembles Jungkook more than he resembles Taehyung.

If a stranger looks at them, they'll consider these two the father son duo and he'll be considered an outsider in their little family when it's the other way around.

Taehyung and Eunwoo are the family and Jungkook is the outsider, that's the truth but to the outsider, it'll be the other way around.

Though the omega doesn't care what others think.

Eunwoo is his son and no one else's. If Jungkook wants to take him, he can gladly file a case for custody, the omega will fight tooth and nail for his son. However, for now. He wants Eunwoo as far away from this man as he can.

“Eunwoo, Come back here”

“Taehyung—”

“Bun right this instance”

“But ap-appa…” Eunwoo whispers looking back at Jungkook who gives his shoulder A squeeze.

“Go to your appa, Champ” Eunwoo hesitates, not sure why he wants to be more in the presence of his hyungie but then he looks back at his father, who looks at him with so much pain in his eyes that he wants to go and hug all the pain away from him.

So he does exactly that.

He runs and throws himself on his appa, Taehyung bends down to hug his son better and tight, as if he was going to lose him.

And maybe he was going to, maybe now that his biggest nightmare is in front of him he'll really lose Eunwoo.

“Did appa get scared??” He asks softly, noticing the tears gathered in his eyes.

Taehyung shakes his head, burying his face on his neck, wanting to scent his little baby even though he doesn't really have a developed scent. A wolf normally develops it after the age of 7 so Eunwoo has yet to develop them.

Scents aren't something which are highly evident, they are just like other senses, even less evident then the other 5 senses if I may add. One can compare it with tears. They are only released when A person is highly overwhelmed with any kind of emotions Or are scenting someone or being intimate.

In his case, Taehyung is overwhelmed with a tank of emotions because Eunwoo can smell a lingering smell of honey and wood. A scent which the little alpha is very familiar with, It just makes his son hold on tight, call if inner insist but Tae is sure his son understands his father isn't at the best condition at the moment.

His little brain thinks he made his father scared by running far away when the reason behind his pain is rather the man he was talking to.

“You are here now, right? So appa is not scared any more bun”

“Really?” Taehyung nods.

“Yes bun”

“That's good!! I'll fight all the bad guys away!” Eunwoo fist bumps the airand Bamie barks in approval all while Jungkook watches without a sound, too afraid to break the little bubble they are in.

He knows when this moment will break, Neither Taehyung would have that smile and neither would Jungkook be able to see these two interact like this.

“Bun, Can we go home now? I don't feel so good” Taehyung whispers softly.

Eunwoo looks back at Jungkook, which honestly takes the alpha off guard. He didn't expect the little pup to even remember him considering how easily kids get distracted.

He sits up straight when Taehyung looks at him then looks away as if he didn't see him to begin with.

“But you didn't met my new fri—”

“Bun please” Taehyung pleads as if it was hard for him to even breathe in Jungkook’s presence. If that hurted him like a damn bitch he didn't let it show on his face. Eunwoo signs but nods.

“Okay” he says softly and Taehyung sighs out a breath of relief. He quickly stands up to take his son away from Jungkook.

The alpha panics immediately when they turn to leave.

“Taehyung” He stands up to call out for him but the omega ignores him, almost running in a hurry. Even forcing Eunwoo to look forward when he turns to look at Jungkook.

The alpha is tempted to run towards him and pull him till taehyung is looking at him, speaking to him. Not ignoring him like he doesn't even exist But he doesn't want to cause a scene, at least not in front of Eunwoo.

He doesn't want the little pup, his own little son to hate him when he doesn't even know what relationship they actually have.

So he stands and watches them walk away, though not before he makes his intentions clear.

“You can't ignore me Tae! We will talk about this no matter what!” Jungkook growls out.

He shouldn't; but Jungkook feels a little satisfaction wash over him when the omega tenses before resuming his walk. Jungkook stays there and watches them leave. He is suddenly reminded of the day when the omega had asked him.

How he'll react if a time comes when he'll hate the alpha.

The alpha realises after all these years, the man has been right in one thing when it came to predict about the omega. He walked past him as if he didn't see him.

Jungkook wouldn't let it stay away that way though. Whatever monologue he had given himself on why he shouldn't approach the omega can go up in flames.

He's not gonna let him cut Jungkook out of his and their damn son’s life. The little pup is just as much his as he is of Jungkook.
