“Tae..?” he felt a hand on his shoulder and the omega immediately threw himself on the male, shoving his face in his chest as he cried louder.

He felt arms getting wrapped around him as Jungkook pulled him on his lap as he sat at the edge of his bed.

The alpha cupped the back of his head,

“Baby... Talk to me, What happened?” The soft voice of Jungkook made him just as angry as it made him cry.

Why couldn't Jungkook be there when he was going through all of that?

Why couldn't he hold him like this back then?

Why couldn't he talk to him like this back then??

Why couldn't he wipe his tears back then?

Why did he had to leave??

Why? Why? Just fucking why?!!!

“Your fault! All y-your fault!!”

Each of Taehyung’s thoughts were accompanied by a weak punch on Jungkook’s chest.

He hiccuped, glaring at Jungkook’s chest as if a ray would come out of his eyes and create a hole on Jungkook’s chest.

Tears blurred his vision and so did his will to keep on hitting Jungkook.At last, tired and hurt. His punches got weak.

“Why did you have to leave!!” He screamed before pulling Jungkook by his collar and slamming their lips together.

Taehyung’s tears poured out of his close eyelids as the omega forcefully opened Jungkook’s mouth, shoving his tongue.Jungkook, despite being stunned by Taehyung's strange behavior didn't dare let himself get lost in the kiss.

His hands moved to cup the omega’s face so he could wipe out every drop of tear falling from his eyes.

The alpha knew taehyung was only kissing him to forget about the pain rather than because he wanted to.

Taehyung kissed him with desperation, with anger, with pain.

As if he was trying to make up for everything that was destroyed, everything that was taken away from him And the alpha let him.

He let him punch Jungkook, shout at him, kiss him.

Whatever the omega needed, he'll give it. If it means it'll lessen the pain inside him, the alpha would do it.

He hugged him closer to his chest when Taehyung pulled away to shove his face against his neck.

Jungkook just released his own calming pheromones in hopes of making the omega better.

“I'm here shushhh... It's okay, I'm here now. Your alpha is here, it's Okay baby”Jungkook kept whispering sweet nothings in his ears till the omegas cries decreased to hiccups and sniffles.

“Baby... Do you wanna lay down?” Jungkook whispered softly against his ears.

Taehyung shakes his head, shoving his face impossibly deeper.“Wanna sit outside, on the balcony? Get fresh air, it'll be better baby” Jungkook whispered, the omega didn't reply for a good amount of time before he nodded softly.

His rotting pheromones were dominating the room, it was suffocating. It was better to sit outside.

Jungkook smiled, placing a lingering kiss on his temple before the alpha steadied his hands under Taehyung’s thigh, lifting the omega so they could go and sit on the balcony.

“Feeling better?” Jungkook cupped his face, making the omega pull away from its place.

Taehyung sniffed, nodding his head slightly before he went back to hug him like a clingy cat.

Jungkook wrapped his arms around his waist, the omega sitting on his lap.

They stayed like that, enjoying the cold breeze while holding each other close.“Tae?” Jungkook spoke after a while, getting a hum in response.

“Wanna talk...? About….What happened?? I think you saw a nightmare...” Jungkook said carefully, remembering how he had heard a scream.

Normally, the alpha is a heavy sleeper but somehow his eyes opened.

Jungkook heard a sniff before Taehyung pulled away, wiping his tears by his sleeves.

“Yeah...” Taehyung cleared his throat, voice raspy and dried.

“Sorry my voice it's just...”

“Do you want water?”

“Yes please”

Jungkook tried to put Taehyung off him to go fetch for water but the omega immediately clung to him.

“baby?? Let me go… you need water” Taehyung shakes his head, fisting his shirt in his hands.

“Don't leave me…” the omega whispered, burying his face in his neck.

“Tae.. I'm not leaving you my baby…”

“You aren't?” The alpha shook his head.

“ I made that mistake once, I wouldn't make it twice.”

“Promise?” he asked with so much uncertainty in his voice, it made Jungkook cry.

“I promise baby…i promise” Jungkook whispered, hugging the omega tighter as he closed his eyes. God, he caused this.

He made The omega like this. His voice is so weak and vulnerable, it makes Jungkook burn himself alive.

What has he done to the omega? What has he done to his once confident and independent omega?

It's all his fault, all his damn fault. God knows what his love has gone through when he wasn't present.

Jungkook hugged him tighter as if they were one person instead of two different individuals. As if he could transfer all the pain to himself from Taehyung. As if it would make it better for the omega.

I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry

His mind chanted like a mantra but not a word came out of his mouth as if someone had squeezed his neck till it became unable to even inhale.

“Okay..“ With that the omega released him, pulling away from his lap to look at the alpha with unshed tears.

His eyes glistened under the city lights. The alpha wanted to do something to himself, hurt himself beyond words when Taehyung gave him the broken smile.

Demons crawled at his skin and every fiber of his body burned in pain when the omega whispered, “Please come back to me…”

Jungkook closed his eyes to stop the tears from falling out, every word that the omega let out was a stab to his bleeding out.

“I'll come back to you… I'll always come back to you…” Jungkook whispered as he stood up.

He knew he wasn't talking about the current situation and when Taehyung smiled, a little less broke and a little more hopeful.

He knew the omega knew it too.

By the time Jungkook came back with a water bottle, Taehyung was sitting forward, his legs pulled against his chest as he looked at the city.

Jungkook sat beside him, Wordlessly passing the bottle of water to him which the omega took without any words.

The alpha wanted to say something, maybe pull the omega closer by the shoulder, provide any kind of physical comfort but he was too afraid.

Too afraid that Tae might flinch, push him away so he curled his hands into a fist and kept it on his lap.

“Thanks..” Taehyung whispered, passing the half drunk bottle back to Jungkook.

A sigh of relief left from his lips when instead of going back to his original position, Taehyung put his head on his shoulder and took a hand of the alpha, intertwining them together.

“You okay??“ Jungkook whispered softly, using his left hand to put it around his shoulder while the other stayed intertwined with Taehyung's.

The omega didn't look at him, just staring at the stars as he nodded.

“Did you have a nightmare?”

Another nod.

“Was it of the day…” Jungkook bites his lips.

Was it the day I killed your dad? Was it the day I left you?

Taehyung shook his head, “It wasn't that day…” The omega sighed, closing his eyes.

The alpha took it as a cue to release calming pheromones, a hint of smile crossing Taehyung’s features.

“Then...” Jungkook asked cautiously, dreading every expression of Taehyung. Looking for any sign of discomfort so he'll immediately stop prying.

“You know…” Taehyung started softly, squeezing Jungkook’s hand for reassurance.

“Eunwoo is an alpha…”

“He is?”

Tae nodded.

“You know how hard it is to carry an alpha pup…Especially if the alpha of the pup isn't around… I had lots of complications while carrying him…” Jungkook squeezed his shoulder, silently telling him how sorry he is and how proud he is of Taehyung.

The strongest omega he has ever known.

“It wasn't easy Jungkook… after everything that was going on… our families' photos were burned on the road, there were stone attacks on our house… wherever I went the media followed, throwing disgusting names at me… I was scared for my life, Jungkook…for my little pup…”

Jungkook leaned closer to bury his face in his head, he didn't know about all of these to the omega.

That's because you didn't bother to check, you just left thinking everything would be fine.

Right, he should have stayed around, checking up on the omega. Making sure he's safe. He should have thought it through, should have known better than to leave like that

But he was too scared, too worried. Too scared of himself.

Too scared of what he might do if he stayed, maybe then he would never leave. Would find ways to stick around when he really shouldn't.

“I'm sorry… I'm so sorry baby” Jungkook whispered, defeated, pained. Unaware of how he should make it better, how to make Taehyung feel better.

Only if he could go back in time and make things right.

“It's okay..” the omega smiled softly. He took Jungkook’s hand and placed it on his belly.

“Eunie grew here…Inside me. It was the most beautiful feeling, Jungkook.. I wouldn't trade it for the world… he stayed in there for me.. Stay with me when you leave… at that time I liked to believe my angels gave me a part of you to make me happy because you left despite how much I was angry at you for everything”

Tears filled in Jungkook’s eyes as he caressed his belly, right here.

Right in there was the proof of their love..

“It would be selfish of me to say but... A part of me is happy you weren't there... A part of me feels satisfied over the fact that you never got to witness his initial days... You didn't see the way his eyes lit up every time he said pa in his broken words..” Tae chuckled bitterly.

He closed his eyes, leaning against Jungkook, sitting on his lap.

“I feel happy to know you would never know what it was like when he kicked in my tummy… when he took his first step.. When he said blueberry pancakes are his favorite… You'll never know… those moments are mine, only mine..”

“Only yours...” Jungkook whispered, kissing Taehyung's temple.

“Those are only yours... I wouldn't ask for them” The alpha chuckled sadly.

“That's what I deserve for leaving, that's what I deserve for doing this to you... It's my fault, my fault for being a bad alpha to you”

“Yes” Taehyung whispered stubbornly.

“You deserve it, you deserve not having a part of all of that, you deserve that for leaving me…” He said, the venom in his heart seeping through his words

“You were a bad alpha, A very bad alpha, to us, to me, to eunie”

“You were the worst alpha one could have, the worst… but you'll make up for it right?” The omega asked hopefully, thousands of hope swirling in his iris.

“Make up for what you did to us…Make up for our pain, for my pain… You'll make up for it right?. Don't leave us now… don't go anywhere.. Don't leave us. Don't leave me..”

The tears that both of them holded back, fell down slowly, like a pearl dropping down the waterfall. Barely noticeable unless the person with the right eyes sees it.

Jungkook shook his head furiously, pulling Taehyung close to his heart, letting him hear his fast heart beat, the way his body trembled.

Silently telling him he doesn't have it in him to leave, he doesn't have anything in him to do except hold the omega close.

Taehyung wrapped his arms, ignoring the way his own body trembled as he rubbed Jungkook’s back.

Letting him know the alpha doesn't need to voice anything out, he knows what the alpha would say.

I'll stay, I'll stay for as long as forever stays.

“I'm really sc-scared Tae… I'm so scared baby… I'm so scared of messing up… I — I what if I what if.. Oh god what if I fuvk up again? I can't… I can't lose you again… I can't lose any of you.. Plea-please don't give up on me Tae.. Please don't”

“I wouldn't, okay?? I wouldn't give up shush… none of us will… Not anymore okay”

“No! You don't understand Tae… I— I don't know wha-what to do I'm so—”

Taehyung pulled away to look at the alpha, A shiver runned down his spine as he realised what was happening.

Jungkook’s wolf.

He was coming to the surface. His wolf was trying to come to the surface. The Omega's words were directly addressed to his alpha so it was the alpha who was trying to answer.

Jungkook was scared because he didn't know how to control it, how to calm him down.

Wolves were dormant, with moving time A werewolves touch with their wolf had almost disappeared, they were suppressed down.

Taehyung has never seen an alpha come to the surface. He had heard stories of what happens and none of them have ever been pretty.

The wolves are pure animals, they don't understand anything. If Jungkook’s wolf came to surface, the only way he'll think to assure taehyung is by marking him.

It'll hurt taehyung more than it'll assure him, but Jungkook’s wolf wouldn't understand that.

He'll not understand anything.

“Hey hey hey…” Taehyung rushed to say, cupping Jungkook’s face so he'll stop moving around and focus on him.

Taehyung felt fear in his bones, Jungkook’s eyes were completely red and his hands were shaking.

“Alpha” The omega whispered, keeping his voice low for only Jungkook to hear.

“It's ok alpha… I know you'll be fine… we'll be fine… you'll become the best alpha for us, calm down. Shush it's okay, it's fine. Eunie loves his dada okay?” The omega punctured every word of his with a kiss on Jungkook’s face.

He needed to assure Jungkook’s wolf, to let him know that they are fine. It's fine, everything is fine.

The omega kept on assuring him, he guided Jungkook’s head to his scent gland to show that he trusts him. “I trust you okay… I trust my alpha” Taehyung whispered when he felt Jungkook hesitate. The human was probably fighting with his wolf.

The omega sighed in relief when slowly Jungkook nudged his scent gland, wrapping his arms around Taehyung’s waist.

He purred to let Jungkook know that he wasn't just doing it because of the alpha.

That he didn't mind being scented by him.

Taehyung tilted his head to give Jungkook more space, he watched as slowly Jungkook’s breathing even and he stopped shaking.

“Tae…” The omega nearly screamed when he heard Jungkook’s voice and his hold tightening on the omega’s waist.

“Jungkook…” He sighed in relief as the alpha pulled away, his normal eye color back to normal.

“You okay?” Jungkook nodded, sniffing slightly.

The alpha looked down at his lap, ashamed of what just happened. He lost control over his wolf.

God knows how scared the omega might have felt because of him. Again.

“I'm sorry about that I just—”

“Shush, It's okay. You are okay now right?” he nods again.

“Then it's fine..” Taehyung smiled slightly, caressing his cheeks to calm him down.

“Has it happened before?” Taehyung asked cautiously after some time. Jungkook hesitated before he nodded, fiddling with his fingers.

“It has…” If the omega was shocked, he didn't show it on his face, just nodding as if it was absolutely normal.

“How did that end up…”

“In a blood bath…” Jungkook whispered. “I don't know what happened… I was shut down, I had no control as if my own brain had kicked me out.. When I got control back… everyone around was dead… I was on a killing spree”  Taehyung bites his lips, unsure if he wanted to ask how that happened.

At last he decided to not pry further. “It's good nothing happened now, right?”

Jungkook gave a weak smile before nodding “Yeah”

“I made it about myself didn't i? You were hurt and I should have comforted and assured you instead I made it all about myself,” Jungkook chuckled, looking down at his fingers.

“It's about us” Taehyung cut him off. “It's about both of us, Jungkook. We are in this together now, aren't we? If we want to work this out, we need to… Know every part of each other…”

Jungkook cleared his throat, giving a grateful smile. “Yeah, yeah you're right. It's about us now”

Taehyung smiled, leaning forward to kiss Jungkook’s forehead before he said, “We should go to sleep now.. It's getting late...”

Jungkook nodded, standing up once taehyung got off him. He looked at the omega awkwardly, rubbing the back of his head.

“I'll.. I'll go now“

The alpha turned to leave but was held back by a tug on his shirt. He frowned at Taehyung who bit his lip.

“Can you bring eunwoo here?? I wanna cuddle with him”

“Oh, oh okay I'll bring him here don't worry I'll sleep on his—”

“Cuddle you both” He corrects, face flushing.

“I— Taehyung are you sure?” Jungkook bites his lips.

“Yeah... Bring him over please”

“... Of course, is he a..?? I mean would he wake up if I picked him up”

Taehyung shook his head with a small smile. “He's a heavy sleeper... Like you…”

Jungkook nodded, “Okay I'll bring him over...”

Taehyung nodded back as Jungkook turned to go to Eunwoo's room to bring their little son.

Once both of them were settled in bed with Eunwoo still peacefully sleeping in between is when Jungkook speaks.

“Tae??”

“Hmm?”

“Can I ask a question?” Taehyung sighed.

“Yeah you can”

“Did you ever hate me, Taehyung??” The omega hesitated, not sure if his honesty would affect Jungkook’s wolf again.

“Don't worry about my wolf, just tell me” The alpha said, understanding his Hesitation.

“I think I did, on days where my mood swings were at peak and I had crazy cravings… on days I wished the circumstances were different and you were by my side, tending to every one of my demands. Yeah, I guess I hated you for what you did on those days. Does that hurt you?.”

Jungkook shook his head, “I deserve it” He said simply, shrugging his shoulders.

Taehyung smiled sadly, not giving any words to make him believe otherwise because truthfully, he does believe the alpha deserves his hate.

So all he did was reach over and intertwine their hands.

“Go to sleep, Jungkook. Don't think too much”

“Yeah.. Thanks for being honest, Tae”

the omega just hummed, putting his free hand on eunwoo to slowly pat him as he lured himself to sleep.

While falling in the slumber, if he felt Jungkook’s hand on  top of his, he didn't comment.

Honestly one of my favorite scenes to write for this fic :(( I love writing hurt/comfort so much 🥺🥺
