Accomplishable Things for 2020

I hate "New Years Resolutions." I made several for years up until the last few years, and found that I only achieved the accomplishable things I had listed, such as "learn to knit" and "complete a novel rough draft," so yeah. I'm gonna list my accomplishable things for 2020.

1. Start going to therapy again. My former therapist left the office I used to go to, so I have to find a new therapist, but I hope whoever I find is a good fit. Though I'm the one who has to pick my therapist and make appointments and stuff this time, part of this rests on if the practices in my area take my insurance. I have high hopes for this, though.

2. Rewrite my NaNo project. My NaNo project ended up being a huge mess because I didn't plan a single thing for it, so I plan to plot it properly, world-build, etc.

3. Finish at least the majority of my technical writing course. Since I decided to go into technical writing instead of ultrasound, I'll get certified for that through this online course. College isn't for me. I know I'm "smart enough" for college, but there's a lot I don't like about it.

4. Finish writing Twisted Roots. I started writing my fantasy project earlier this year, but put it down to work on the idea for my NaNo project instead. This project is near and dear to my heart, because the protagonist is autistic and it incorporates my special interest of Irish/Celtic folklore (namely, faeries and changelings. And yes, I spell faerie like that because it's prettier).

5. Read and finish at least five of the books on my shelf that I haven't read or had left unfinished. I don't read as much as I used to. I used to be able to read at least a huge chunk of a book in one sitting. I don't have the amount of undivided time during the day to do that anymore, but I have time at night I can give to reading. I also kinda got into a bad habit of not finishing a book in favor to read another book.
